My son is allergic to both of these meds and he has been prescribed Tramadol for pain. I am unable to find if this drug is related to either and what to look for. ## Hello, Mari! How is your son? I am 32yrs old I am taking codeine syp 2-3 ph daily for 3months, I am stop codeine syp then I am suffering from very weakness,Lose motion and thinking fever every day, so how to do going best. ## Those can be normal side effects of suddenly stopping this medication, according to NIH reports. Found this and I have no idea what it is. Can anyone help me figure it out? It's a round white pill with M in a box and 2 on the other side. ## This tablet is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 15mgs of Codeine and 300mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Tylenol 3. I am taking codeine sulfate every day but ran out three days before my drug test and took hydrocodone until my test. Can they tell a difference in my test or will it just come up as an opiate? ## Will codeine show up different than hydrocone on doctor drug screen? ## It depends on what type of test that is used but in general Codeine and hydrocodone would show up as two different results on a drug test.

I was prescribed codeine cough syrup but I also took a couple morphine sulfate 40mg. Now I got a new job and they wanna send my urine same in for a 5 panel test. My question is, when I get a positive and they send for testing, can they tell the difference since codeine metabolizes into morphine? Please help. Thanks.

I am needing to a pharmacy in the DFW metroplex that carries this due to the fact that since activis is not making it . Hi-Tech is the only particular generic she an take because the other generics make her hand and itch and get hot. No nausea though but when we any pharmacy they say "we are sorry you have t to come out here and then we will let you know what brand of generic we carry and frankly we do not have the money to be driving around from Pharmacy to Pharmacy just for 6 ounces every two weeks but it has to be taken care of soon please get back to me anyone who knows the answer .

I think this was something i was given post op, it is a large ish white tablet, above the score line it says C below it it says CT. I assume it is some kind of codeine preparation. ## The tablet your referring to is codhydramol. Please excuse my spelling

If I'm taking only Tylenol 3/4 with codeine, how is it that hydrocodone would show up in a hair test? How can I dispute it? I believe hydrocodone is a secondary metabolite in about 10% of cases. Is it true? I know hydrocodone is Vicodin or Norco, but I do not and have never taken these drugs before. The codeine is bad enough.

Hi there, i did a urine drug test last night, after taking a myprodol 5 hours before the test. The test was positive for opiates - heroin. I have not touched any herion, and would like to know if the codeine in the myprodol can cause a positive result for opiates??? I cannot take drugs containing pseudoephedrine or codeine. Popped up positive on a urine test for morphine and codeine. NEVER took either of them. Had 6 poppy seed muffins in two days. Will a hair test save my job? ## Back in 1998 the the US government changed the urine cut-off level, making it higher (2000ng/ml), so there would be less false positives for opiates due to poppy seeds. If they used the lower cut-off level of 300ng/ml shame on them for not know what they are doing. Was the urine test they did on you a rapid screening test or was it a lab test? The reason I ask this is if you showed positive on a rapid screening test they should have sent it to a lab for GC/MS confirmation. If they did do a confirmation test it could have been able to detect the difference between poppy seed and real opiates. If they still have some urine left over...

I have had scripts for hydrocodone as well as codeine since 2009, roughly about 4-5 bottles. Also recently had bronchitis so I had 2 bottles of cough syrup. I never used the scripts for the hydro or codeine up until this last year and 6 months or so. I have arthritis, a shoulder and bone spur, also had wisdom teeth taking out and see a chiropractor for back pain. My question is, i've already tested positive once for "norco" and I sent them a picture of 1 of the 3 bottles I had and it was fine. I have another hair test coming up and like I've said been using the scripts I had the last year all gone now.
