it was prescribed to me for a bad cough im just wondering if it has codeine in it thanks ## One dosage had me very dizzy and woozy for awhile. ## Hi Krusher, Based on my research, this medication does contain Codeine as well as Guaifenesin. Codeine is a narcotics and is used as a cough suppressant that affects the signals in the brain that trigger cough reflex. Guaifenesin works as an expectorant. It helps loosen congestion in your chest and throat, making it easier to cough out through your mouth. Some side effects include: dizziness, drowsiness, headache, warmth, redness, or tingling under your skin, nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, constipation, skin rash or itching. Seek emergency medical attention if you experience any of the following serious side effects: severe dizziness or drow...

I just want to know if Propoxy N/APAP 100-600 TAB TEV has codeine in it because I'm alergic to codeine! ## Does propo-n/apap 100-650 have red dye #3 in it? ## The ingredients in this medication were Acetaminophen and Propoxyphene, the name brand it was most commonly known under was Darvocet. Thus no, it did not ever contain Codeine, but I don't know about the red dye. It was a very mild narcotic analgesic. Anyone still looking for this medication or information on it, may notice that I am referencing it in the past tense and the reason for that is due to the fact that it has been removed from the market in the U.S., Canada and most other countries. Adverse event reports, as well as further safety testing found it to cause a high risk of dangerous cardiac events and fatal overdos...

im a breastfeeding mother to a 3 and ahalf week baby and i have got a tooth pulled out today and im in so much pain , how long does it take for codeine to leave the system if it isnt long i can take some and work out when to start breastfeeding again ...thanks ## I know for drug tests Codeine can be detected for "up to" 2-4 days in your urine. Another method you can use to help determine the length of time it remains in your system is based on the half life of the drug. The plasma half-life of Codeine is about 4 hours. Many pharmacists and medical experts agree that it can take about 5 half lives for the drug to be out of your system. This means that Codeine can be out in a little as 20 hours after your last dose, depending on your metabolism and other health factors. Keep in mi...

If you are allergic to codeine would you be allergic to tramdol? ## Hi Vanessa, According to addictionblog.org, Tramadol does not contain codeine. "Tramadol is a synthetic drug. This means that Tramadol is created in laboratories and is the result of chemical reactions. It is NOT a natural product, like codeine, and is called an opioid due to its chemical make up." That being said, you shouldn't have an allergic reaction to Tramadol, but everyone reacts to medication differently so I would definitely speak with your doctor before taking it. how many tylenol #3 equals a 500/500 vicodin, i need to know for arthritic pain. ## It takes 33.33mgs of the Codeine to equal each 5mg dosage of Hydrocodone. Learn more Codeine details here. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. Since the Acetaminophen potentiates the action of the narcotic and you have to be careful of how much of it you take in a day, you may want to just try one tablet and see how well it helps. White tablets, about 3/4 of a centimeter wide, line down the middle of one side, C on the left side of the line, O on the right, nothing on the back of the pill. I've been told they're "small" codeine, probably 5mg with a larger amount of acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, or another mild pain reliever, but I can't find anything quite matching this description online. ## Hello, Unfortunately I can't find a pill that matches the description you provided. The closest match I've come across is Oxycontin 10 mg which has the imprint OC on one side (with no line between the letters) and 10 on the other. what is this pill? I found a bottle at my dad's house who recently passed away. The caregiver stole all other presciption drugs but this jar. Just curious. ## I found a bottle of these exact pills (Rugby 3 on one side, 3227 on the reverse side) in a trash heap on my property where someone was illegally dumping garbage before we bought the land. I have a drug test for a job on Monday (it is Friday), I took some prometh w/ codeine (my mothers rx) today for an incessant cough... I threw it up about 30 minutes later after realizing what I did. It was an expired rx from 2009. Will it show up on the drug test? Should I tell them that I took it, but it wasn't my prescription? Is there anything I can do to get it out of my system sooner?

I just took a drug test and they found codiene in my system and I did not take any pills just had a cup of coffee this morning ## Hi Harold, Although I haven't located any details confirming the possibility of a false positive for codeine from hydrogen peroxide, I do believe that it's still a strong possibility due to the faulty standard drug tests they use today. A lot of these standardized drug tests have a fairly high false-positive response, where it seems as though anything is likely to show up, no matter what you took. To my knowledge, false positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. Have you asked your doctor about getting re-tested? ## Have you taken any cough syrup or any other prescription meds in last couple of weeks?
