Cocaine & Suboxone

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried getting off cocaine by using suboxone??? My husband keeps going back to cocaine, but wants on suboxone to keep him from going to cocaine. He has also done cocaine & suboxone together and loved the feeling. When he takes just suboxone he is fine and doesn't want the cocaine. I was just wondering if anyone has tried suboxone to get off cocaine and if it actually worked.
I’ve noticed that when taking suboxone, cocaine and alcohol are less enjoyable or that there are side effects (anxiety, headaches, nausea, etc.) that make it non-enjoyable.
Re: mark (# 2)
Yes it does break down the way it works by blocking receptors into thinking you need street drugs as well. It's benefited many people. Mixing them is a ticking time bomb.
Michigan has a substance program if on Medicare or cade it's covered my wife pays 0 for her script of 60
Ok i know from first hand experience. This was back in the day. But i noticed when i was on subs it would sorrta block the coke. I would have to take more. And still the effects were nothing like when I was off subs. And there are studies being done, don't know how legit tho, of subs being used to get off coke. Cause I know some people who stopped coke with opiates but then they were hooked on opiates.
Shows ur friend are not true friends if they ratted u guys out
I disagree with u on that. I was really bad on H n now i have been on suboxone for a year now n im doing great
So subs helped me get off H. Along with some other people i know.
How long did you have to wait after dosing to take the suboxone without getting sick on coke?
Hi there all I can say is you're lucky my Dr is 250 a month every month well 300 the first month then 97.00 for 10 8mg/2. I'm in Tennessee where r u ?

Actually you should research the subject matter since you obviously have no comprehension of the pharmacological properties nor indications for use of this diverse substance.lastly your arrogance and confrontational style only speaks to your ignorance.Should anyone truly seek a valid answer refer to POST 31 Jrog explained it in a precise yet condensed manner. It's informative articulate posts like jrogs that serves this community best.
Actually, naloxone, HAS been used with some success in the treatment of stimulants, and alcohol, along with its main use in meds such as suboxone (buprenorphine/ naloxone). Buprenorphine on the other hand is affective only on opiates, having a higher affinity(ability to bond to receptors) than other opiates/ opioids).
Yes it is important to be knoledged on this before you take it. It is serious and it is also addictive, but if takin properly it can do exactly what they say. But like any other drug if you abuse it you can get the buzz but I also been on hydrocodone, and oxycodone for yrs
And not one dr has helped get me off them just as simple to hand you a script and say see you next month or in what ever but pain management is just a drug dealer who is doing it legally. But when you say I want off like I did after 14 yrs of taking them pills the just say oh well we will drop hou down soon.. and don't I am greatful I go t in.
I have slipped and thought I needed to take a few pain meds but I dk how my dr will react to that situation . When I take drug test I will show for my strips vut I am concerned that they will see ice taken some of my hydros and kick me out. After first visit
Thoughts anyone?
Medicaid covers suboxone and the program.. I have been in the program for almost 2.5 years... I even was able to get my hubby on the program too!! Def worth it!!!!
Not true. Heroin is an opiate just like Painkillers I.e. Percocet, Vicodin, Oxycontin, Roxycodone etc are opiates. Suboxone is used to treat opiate addiction.
ARE YOU STUPID, look up suboxone (buprenorphine is an opiate/and naloxone is an opiate block) so tell me how suboxone doesn't help opioid addiction. You want some truth, there are rehabs reporting 80% success rates using suboxone maintenance, versus the 12% with nothing/methadone.
DO RESEARCH BEFORE YOU POST. AND I WANT TO SEE EVEN ONE PEER-REVIEWED RESEARCH PAPER THAT SAYS SUBOXONE HELPS WITH COCAINE ADDICTION.
I can only speak for myself but suboxone gets me rocked!! I was taking 3 30mg perks before I learned about suboxone because I needed to quit. Too costly and I simply wanted my life back, got so tired of being deathly sick when I couldn't find or afford them.
You pay that much for suboxone? I get them for 9.99 a strip at the pharmacy which is about the same as you can get it on the streets. Ad far as how muchyou pay for office visita, that's actually pretty cheap, a lot of places around where I live charge between 300 and 500 per visit.
Ive been on 3-8mgthe subs a day for 4yrs..i was a horribly addicted herion/pill/drug addict. I would do whayever wen ever. My life was upside down...since suboxone. All tjat has changed. I now run my own sucsesful business and bo longer use.its been a miracle...unfortunately there is one more hurddle to jump..GETTN OFF THE SUBS. Its more addictive than most drugs..harder to come off as it stays in u forever. ...if ir husband can quit coke using subs good for him. It is used to treat opiate withdrawl. But sumtimea people juat need SUMTHING to bend there mind. Sum peiple use alcohol to come off pills. Or weed. Whatever...but if he usea subs to come off coke it may help him along but remwmber that subs are highly addictive. Hed be better off using loratabs or vicodin. Goodluck. Hope that helpa juat a wee
If you can get insurance it would cut your cost dramatically. I pay a $6 copay for a box.
