Every statin I have taken over the years for high chlorestral has made my muscles ache. I finally found something that works, zetia but I get the lowest possible in social security and can`t afford to pay $80 for 56 tablets. I had been paying $4 monthly for prevestatin. quite a jump. I am presently thinking of taking nothing. I have a pacemaker ## Hello, Barbara! How are you? Why don't you ask your doctor about one of the other alternatives, such as Fenofibrate? It can also lower cholesterol, but isn't a statin, so it doesn't cause the same problematic side effects and it's been around for a very long time, so it's usually not too expensive. It's most common side effects can include nausea, rash and flatulence.

i m diagnosed with LDL cholesterol and blood sugar borderline plus i m a breast cancer survivor. Is atorsave 10mg safe for me ## Atorsave contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin, it is used to help lower cholesterol. As to safety, all drugs carry risks, but your doctor does take these under consideration and weight them against the possible benefits, when prescribing them. Common side effects to this may include: nausea, drowsiness, joint/muscle aches and dizziness. You can read more on it here: Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? ## I am a diabetic and i use this tablet regularly once a day can u give me the bad effects on this tablet taking it daily Could you also tell me about glycomet gp2 and prezeb od 150 i am taking this for the last two or three years. have dia...

I went through a drug rehab program for meth amphetamine. After I stopped using I continued to test positive for amphetamines. After further review the lab came back and advised that Trilipix was the culprit. and everything was ok. Now, I'm in a legal matter relating to meth amphetamines.....I provided this lab with the verbal information I had been given in the past. They say it is not true. Yet, when I stop taking trilipix I test negative. Please help me.

been on simvastatin for about 12 years during that time have had nightmares sleep problems and the most awful episodes that wake me up suddenly and I see something an hallucination could be a person, a spider, flowers all sorts but always very clear never connected it to my medication before just learnt to . put up with it, but im beginning to wonder now anyone have any side effects like these? ## Hello, Anny! How are you? Yes, this medication has been associated with sleep disturbances, nightmares and vivid dreaming Many medications do have such an effect, because they can cause REM onset latency. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? You may be able to switch to a different one that doesn't cause such a problem for you.

I found in my teenagers room. I need to know if they are ordering from another country online. ## Hello, Cookie! How are you? Is the 20 actually pressed into the tablet or just printed on it? If it's pressed in, then there is one that matches this description in the U.S. database that is a 20mg Atorvastatin tablet, it's used to help lower cholesterol and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches. Did you try asking them about it?

Is Cholestralomine a statin? ## Hello, Judy! How are you? I'm sorry, did you mean Cholestyramine? If so, no. It is a bile acid sequestrant. But through its action, it can lower plasma cholesterol levels. Its most common side effects are constipation, tooth discoloration, increased risk of gallstones and increased triglyceride levels. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am currently taking fenofibrate. I just switched jobs and my prescription coverage won't take effect for another month. I am out of fenofibrate, but have a prescription of atorvastatin that I never used. Would it cause me any issues if I took the atorvastatin until my prescription coverage kicks in?? ## Hello, Link Ogle! How are you? They aren't in the same medication class, So, I'm actually not sure how well the switch would work. Have you checked with your doctor? A quick phone should garner an answer for you. The Atorvastatin tends to be more problematic, as far as side effects are concerned, it can cause nausea, headache, dizziness and joint/muscle aches.

on simvastatin, would like to try Livalo. Since I have no side effects from simvastatin, would I be allergic to Livalo, or is the formulary the same only that it is obsorbed through the kidney? Would I be more likely to be ok changing to Livalo? ## Hello, Roz! How are you? What you're talking about wouldn't be an allergy, but yes, you could experience side effects from a different one. Why do you want to switch, if your current medication is working for you? What has your doctor suggested?

Possibly some can get Lipitor for $4, but with my Anthem Insurance, my cost through CVS is now a $51 ripoff. This scheme is so tricked up, it boggles the mind. According to my CVS pharmacy, when the patent expired and the $4 co-pay started, Pfizer DOUBLED the price of Lipitor. So here's the trick. They say they are giving you $50 off, but it is apparently $50 off of the new doubled price. With Anthem, my copay is now more than $51, so I and others with Anthem (and likely lots of other insurers) now have to PAY MORE than we ever paid in the past. Ironically, I can still get Crestor for $25 with their loyalty card, so you can guess what I will do! It sure seems that Pfizer thinks consumers have no choices, are stupid, and won't be able to figure this out. Wrong! To add insult to i...

fibricor is to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels ## I'm looking for a generic substitute (lower cost) for Trilipix. My copay for trilipix is $40 for a 30 day supply. Is there any way to save on this R/x? ## Well in my country 30 days go for 30 bucks more or less.

I was taking Tonact 20 and Ecosprin 150 separately. Tonact 20 costs about rs.200 for 15 tablets. I came across Ecosprin AV 150 containing both above ingredients in single capsule and costing just rs.20 for 10 tablets. This lowers the medicine bill to absolute low. But what is the catch? Does Ecosprin AV 150 have Atorvastatin that is of low quality and that is why they are selling it at such low price or is it genuine medicine at low price because of some other factors? if so, what are the factors? ## Do you have Insurance to help you? If so, the price difference maybe because you insurance company "prefers" you to take the "2 in 1" pill than taking them separately. In my country (i am a phamracist) we don´t have the "2 in 1".

I've been on 10 mg Simvastatin for 3 months. It was prescribed after a TIA landed me in the ER one evening. Extensive testing was done including the CT, Echo, and others. ALL were totally normal. I figured from the get go that my extreme stress level (an easy 25) was the culprit. My cholesterol was 220 and that set off alarm buttons. It has been 240 for years so I wasn't in the least bit concerned. Other things were prescribed on my chart including coumadin which I refused. I take vitamins & minerals (fish oil, flax oil, D3, SE, CA, and others) daily and have for years. Reluctantly I agreed to try the simvastatin 10 mg for 60 days. First lab work showed cholesterol at 178 and I said enough. Realizing I'd have to back off a little slowly, I'm now taking 5 mg for 30 da...

I have chronic itching due liver disease. My dr. said that taking cholestyramine may help. Can you offer any insight ## Hello, Viktoria! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about your health issues. Cholestyramine helps remove bile acids from the body and in many case where someone has a liver problem, the symptoms they experience such as the itching, are due to it not being properly processed out, anymore. So yes, it may help you, others have had success with it. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi. My mum is a very fit 78 yr old. She has been on a very low dose of simvastatins for 17 years. She had minor aches and pains but still fit enough to walk 5 or 6 miles a day, mow her garden and dig vegetable patch. She has stopped taking the stations and is now in extreme pain... Cannot raise her arms, walks only one mile a day and feels tired. She is going to as for a blood test but has anyone heard of side effects of coming off stations? Will this pass? Any suggestions re help? This could be PMR ..... Any advice really appreciated. ## Hello, Clare! How is you mother doing? It's difficult to say what may be causing the problem, it could be PMR, or something else. Has she consulted her doctor, yet? At her age, you really shouldn't just let this go, it needs to be checked out.

Just i have given the tress test in medical check up, after 10 minutes of run, doctor said it came a positive test, he recommended an geography and ask to take Rozavel 75 tab, till i do the an geography, let me know it is necessary? ## Hello, Arun! How are you? Rozavel A contains Rosuvastatin and Aspirin, it is used for blood thinning and to help lower cholesterol. If something showed up on your stress test, that means that there is a potential problem with your heart, such as a blockage, which is why they want to do more checking, so for your own health, you should take the medication as you were directed. If you don't, you could be at risk of a heart attack or stroke. Is there anything else I can help with?
