Changing Statins

on simvastatin, would like to try Livalo. Since I have no side effects from simvastatin, would I be allergic to Livalo, or is the formulary the same only that it is obsorbed through the kidney? Would I be more likely to be ok changing to Livalo?

What you're talking about wouldn't be an allergy, but yes, you could experience side effects from a different one.

Why do you want to switch, if your current medication is working for you? What has your doctor suggested?
