I have been told by my Neurologist that this drug Diltiazem cd can cause Parkinson like symptoms in a small group of people. Have been using cardizem for 7 years and would like to know if there are any long term side effects...I seem to be having some trouble cognitively and my great aunt who was on it ended up with dementia...was curious if there was any correlation between the brain and the drug. My cardiologist has told me to no longer take Losarten, as i was having severe chest pain, and other side affects.
