my friend that is taking letrozole has been priscribed ritalin as well. We cannot find anything saying it is safe to mix the medication. Will she be okay to take both medications. ## I'm not finding any interactions, or problems listed between the two medications, but she should check with her doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. Where they both prescribed by the same doctor, or are all relevant physicians aware that she's taking both?

Side effects can include: nausea, vaginal discharge, transient blindness and aplastic anemia. Folinal is a vitamin that contains Folic Acid and Iron, so it is used as a supplement. This means side effects for it are not studied, but some people report nausea when taking it. You really can't do anything to decrease any side effects, your body will eventually do that on its own, as you get used to the medications. Are there any questions or comments? ## i am taking foltrax 7.5 in a week wit...
My wife is taking faslodex 500mg, 2 shots in rear. This is her second time and she started severe shaking in her hands. Has anyone else had this and does a lower dose help stop this and/or does this go away? ## Has it improved any? Has she consulted her doctor? I have found listings of various reported side effects, but unfortunately, they are aggregated under categories, such as neurological, rather than specific symptoms. However, I would have to advise that any time you experience unusual side effects, it's always best to consult your physician, as soon as possible.
I am on Methotrexate 2.5 7 tablets once a week. I would like to know if anybody losing the hair due to the medication? ## Yes, a lot of people is losing hair. My 34 olde daughter is. She has lots of secondary effects, mainly fatigue and cluded-mind. But she is taking folic acid at least 5 times a week 5to 10 mg, and injecting B12 3 times a week (one of these injections with B1 and B6),. She is trying to follow an elimination diet to discard same fodds that can trigger inflammation. You would need to take at least 10 mg of zinc with every meal. For some people, the hair keeps falling with methro, unless they stop medication and then, in some months it is suppossed the hair grows again normally. Try EMU oil put gently on scalp. But hair falls due to the pharmacologic effect, the is why fo...
My mother was taking pills for morning sickness in 1964. They were small, pink on one side, and light blue on the other. We don't have any to examine, so I have no information on any identifying numerals or letters that might have been present. My sister's doctor indicated that this might be related to my sister's infertility. Can anyone identify this medication (and, more importantly, indicate any problems they might have caused an infant)? Thanks!! Bill ## This is very little information to go on. Her doctor may be thinking of the medication Thalidomide, which was used for nausea in pregnant women and found to cause severe birth defects, however, it was pulled from the market in 1961, so there is no way your mother could have been using it in 1964. The reason your doctor m...

Common, less serious side effects can include: muscle, joint, or bone pain; temporary hair loss; nausea, vomiting, constipation, loss of appetite; changes in your sense of taste; weakness, dizziness; headache; or sleep problems (insomnia). Other more serious side effects are: sudden or severe pain in your left upper stomach spreading up to your shoulder; rapid breathing or feeling short of breath; any sign of infection such as fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms, diarrhea, skin rash, or redness or swelling of a skin wound; swelling in your hands, ankles, o...
I give myself weekly injections of 1cc of methotrexate. I got a false positive for cocaine. I have never used cocaine. Could the injection of methotrexate be the cause? ## I'm not sure why, but there's little information available online regarding this. I only came across one link that has a good amount of information on the probability rate of Methotrexate causing a false positive. Maybe you can find some helpful information in there: I would also suggest contacting the manufacturer of your medication to ask them about this situation. If it is in fact the drugs fault for your false positive, they should be able to write you a letter saying that this is the case (for future drug testing). I hope this helps!
I'm suppose to start Lupron in a week and I am a little nervous. Just looking for more info about it. ## Lupron contains the active ingredient Leuprorelin, which is most commonly used in the treatment of hormonal responsive cancers. Have you spoken to your doctor about your concerns over starting it? They would be the best qualified to help you understand whether it is right for you to try and what side effects you may experience.
I have interstitial cysttitis, an very painful condition where the lining of the bladder allows caustic and acidic substances to inflame the raw nerve endings. The pain can be sometimes compared to end pain bladder cancer. It will not show up on an MRI, and despite have tons of documentation of my disease, no doctor in Little Rock will help me. I can't take it much more. Just want a way out now. ## What treatment and dietary options have you tried? Also, are you seeing a urologist, or just regular doctors? Most regular, general practitioners aren't going to be familiar with the treatment protocols for such a condition, so you may be better off with a specialist. Have you tried going to the hospital or contacting them? They often have social workers that can help you find someone...
If I was to feed a person this medication for a period of time without them knowing (a particular dosage everyday) can that person develop and accelerate cancer cells in his/her body. More particularly in their lungs and spinal cord? ## I'm sorry, but I don't know of any medication by that name, nor can I find anything listed in our databases. Did you perhaps mean the toxin Ricin?

Updated in ZadaxinI am 57 years old and having marginally higher BP. Presently taking Telma H regularly and do not have any problem. BP when measured is normal. I read an article saying that taking Telma H can cause cancer. Please suggest ## Telma-H contains Telmusartan and Hydrochlorothizide and is most commonly used to help lower high blood pressure. As to the risk of cancer, it was shown to be only a slight risk, no more than any other medication and, since these studies were so small, they have not been accepted as valid proof, yet. So, there actually may not be any risk. If you are still concerned, then I'd advise you to speak with your doctor, because the risk of letting your blood pressure get out of control is much higher than the theory of a cancer risk that has been presented about these me...

I finished my 1st cycle of Vidaza 2 days ago and I was wondering how much longer this lack of apettite is going to last. ## I don't really have an estimate to give you, because there isn't a lot of information listed for it, at this time and even when there is, it can vary from person to person. Have you talked to your doctor about it? The main thing that you have to remember is that you need to eat, even if you don't have much of an appetite, so you should make sure you eat at least small meals on a regular basis.
I had whipple surgery 4 years ago, thought it was cancer but it was auto-immune obstruction of my bile duct. Have been on azathioprine for 4 years, prednizone for 2 months. Now I will be going on Rituxan as I blocked up again. This drug sounds scarry, I would like any comments on this condition or drug. ## Yes, Rituximab has the potential to cause some serious issues, but the whole reason it was approved by the U.S. FDA was because it showed greater safety than many similar drugs. You can learn more about it here: I'm assuming you've started by now, how are you doing with it?
which is stronger femara or Soma muscle relaxers? ## Femara is not a muscle relaxant, Femara contains the active ingredient Letrozole, it is a nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor that is most commonly used to treat hormonally responsive breast cancer. Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol and it is a muscle relaxant, it works well for some people, but not for all. Was there some other medication you were thinking, rather than Femara?
