I had reclast in September. That's when I got the information about doing dental work prior to infusion. Now in November I had a dental check up and have the beginnings of periodontal desease! I am 68 and never had my wisdom teeth removed. They are filled with bacteria and endangering my other teeth next to them but now I can't remove them. If I had been advised to get my dental work done prior to infusion by my doctor, I would have taken care of my teeth first. What can I do now? Is there an amount of time after infusion when it is safer to have this done? I have no other illness or desease and have had no after effects from the Reclast so far. ## I had Reclast a couple years a go after breast cancer treatment caused me to have mild osteoporosis issues. I had it in the infusion...

uses and side effects of Adova tablet ## Based on my research, Adova tab contains the active ingredient Anastrozole; which belongs to the class of nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors. Anastrozole is sometimes prescribed for infertility, but is often used with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation, to treat early breast cancer in women who have experienced menopause. It works by decreasing the amount of estrogen the body makes. This, in turn, can slow or stop the growth of many types of breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow. Side effects may include: weakness headache hot flashes sweating stomach pain nausea vomiting loss of appetite constipation diarrhea heartburn weight gain joint, bone, or muscle pain breast pain mood changes depression difficulty falling asleep or sta...

A member of staff has been told he has Chronic Testicular TB. He has been given Doxytet tablets to take (100mg) twice daily and told to report back to the hospital if the discomfort and pain does not improve. They will then operate? For TB? We cannot understand this reasoning -can you give some advice on the Testicular TB? He is using the State Hospitals and seems to get nowhere fast. We feel he needs to be further evaluation and he is truly very afraid of being operated on. ## Yes, it is an actual condition. The bacterium that cause TB can move through the body, travel through the lymph nodes and infect other organs, although the lungs are the most common. There is a risk of it causing permanent infertility, and contributing to some forms of cancer. It would be best for him to take the...

I have stage 4 thyroid cancer which has metastasized to my lungs. Although it is slow growing, the cancer will kill me. I found a clinical trial at UCSF that would take a variety of different cancer types. After 9 infusions, the keytruda is beginning to work. Other than fatigue I don't feel sick. I am hoping for stable disease or a cure. ## Hello, Cheryl! How are you doing? I'm sorry about your diagnosis, but very glad that this mediation is helping you. Life is so very precious and beautiful, so I wish you the best. Are you still doing well? Any new side effects? Typical side effects include itching, rash, feeling tired, joint pain and cough. ## Just fatigue. ## That is very normal for this medication and fortunate that you've not encountered any others. How are you feeling...

Hello, I am 55 year old, postmenopausal women, taking the Megestrol (160 mg daily for 2 months already) to treat endometrial adenocarcinoma on early stage. My last ultrasound show "lack of vasculaarity in the more inferior portion - ?significance?. This finding is not seen on the previous images (in October, before Megace treatment). I couldn't get an answer why it happens and what is mean. If anybody know the answe I would really appreciate the information ## Hello, Galena! How are you? Vascularity usually denotes having visible superficial veins, thus, a lack of it means that there is a section where these veins are not visible. According to the the NIH, it may, or may not be significant. In other words, if it is due to the medication/medical treatments, it is nothing to worry...

My mom has only been on Xalkori for a few weeks and since switching to it everything she eats has a sweet flavor and turns to a disgusting oily crisco mush. She's struggling to eat or keep anything down. Has anyone else had this experience? What are you eating that is working for you? ## Hello, Rebecca! How is your mom doing? Has there been any change? According to the FDA, it can cause a change in taste as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and decreased appetite. However, if it is affecting her so severely that she can barely eat, she should consult her doctor. It is also very important that she take in proper nutrition.

Why oh why are you people taking stuff just to feel high? I have lung cancer, broken back twice, rheumatoid arthritis, and live on 700 a month. I sometimes go 4 days with no food. I have to have my meds to stay alive. You never know how much you want to live until you are getting ready to die. Why would you risk your job just for a one night high? I can't get good medical care because I am degenerate. Was misdiagnosed by my doctor which caused me to lose my left lung and I can't sue because I can not afford an attorney. I have a 94 Honda with 300,000 miles on it. ## Hello, Dee! I am so very sorry! Some people have addictive tendencies that are genetic and can't be helped, but not all, some do it just for the thrill, which creates a very sad state of affairs. Even with recent...

I have had 3 Reclast infusions, Jan 2011, Feb 2012, Mar 2013. Also had chemotherapy in 2006 for a cancer diagnosis with no further evidence of disease and no further treatment. I have a 4-unit bridge that has been replaced 4 times in as many years. Dentist wants to replace with 2 implants and two crowns. Trying to assess my risks for ONJ. Finding mixed reviews, almost as many stating very low risk (less than 1%) to others indicating I should avoid any type of oral surgery at all costs. Seems like implants are my only option, though, if I want to keep my ability to eat properly, to say nothing of the cosmetic/visual issues. The bridge is very visible and loss of all 4 teeth is unacceptable. Any suggestions or evidence-based information on risks for going forward with implants? ## Hello, ...

I started taking Xalkori about 9 weeks ago for stage IV ROS1 lung caner. My cough disappeared after the first pill so I feel very fortunate that I'm responding so well to it. I'm slowly getting back my energy and am able to breath easily now. However, I have edema in my ankles and feet and my digestive tract has been hard to regulate. I want to stay active but my feet and ankles swell so much I can't be on them all day. Has anyone found a holistic or natural approach to these side effects that works and is safe to take with the pills? ## There's no way to know what natural remedies may be safe to take given your medical condition and the medication you're taking. Thus, it would really be best to consult your doctor to see what may help with the edema. It is a common ...

I have been on Methotrexate and folic acid for 3 weeks. Started with three 2.5 mg tablets of MTX for two weeks, then up to 6 tablets this week. The first week, I had terrible stomach pains, the second week I had bad fatigue. After taking my 6 pills on Friday, the side effects have been bad: nausea, no vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, back and right side pain and a rash. I finally reached the doctor on call in my practice (Memorial Day), and his comment was that it didn't look like I could take 6. My question is this, if you have switched to the injectable MTX, did you have less side effects, and at what point in your treatment did you switch? ## Hi my son started taking the injection 3 weeks ago he have had some stomach pain but no nausea. His doc told me pills have way more side e...

WHERE CAN I FIND THIS H86. I HAVE CANCER IN BOTH KIDNEYS, STAGE 4 & IN MY STOMACH. I ALSO NEED THE STUFF FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. THANK YOU. ## Look up a book - from the library called "Miracles from the Vault". ## Hi Elaine, Sorry to hear about your situation. From what I could gather, H-86 is a coined term by the Health Sciences Institute that refers to 'fermented wheat germ extract'... Avemar being the brand name; which is available online for around $100-$200 at the timing of this post. You can also view the manufacturer's webpage for Avemar with a quick google search. The US National Institute of Health also has information on cannabis as a cancer/tumor cure, which I'd strongly encourage you to investigate as well. Concerning hypertension, a registered d...

Could someone please tell me how long it will take before Dasatinib is out your system after stop using this medication? My mom is seriously ill from this medication and it does not stop. ## Hello, Christina! How is your mom doing? This is a medication that is used to treat cancer and they are well known to cause a lot of side effects, you aren't going to find one that doesn't. What symptoms is she experiencing? The U.S. FDA lists the typical ones for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight loss, and high blood pressure.

My mom was diagnosed with stage IV NSCLC with only BM two weeks ago. The day before she was to get her port for Carbo/Taxol (which Medicare had pre-approved), the called and said her ALK came back positive so new plan is Xalkori. She went to get the med and the price is astronomical. She is on Medicare and there is absolutely no way that she can afford the drug, and no way even spread between the three kids we can make it work. Has anyone obtained the drug in Canada or Mexico? We're willing to do anything legal to get this for her. She got a grant that will cover two month of it, but after that we just don't know what to do. ## Is your mom low income? If she is, she might qualify for help paying her Medicare co/pay and other Medicare expenses. I have put a link below. She can al...

This tablet is manufactured by Accord Healthcare and they list it as containing 1mg of Anastrozole, which is used to lower the levels of estrogen after menopause and can help to treat some types of breast cancer. I am researching the product H-86 for a close friend and cancer patient. Any viable alternative to conventional medicine, the mega pharmaceutical companies and their support by the FDA can lead to skepticism that avoids "cutting edge" research. There is certainly financial justifications to maintain the status quo, and we all know that chemotherapy and radiation destroys healthy cells as well; thus further lowering the body's auto-immune system even further!! Having close members of my family face cancer with the present treatment, only to witness their exacerbated suffering and eventual demise! We need cutting edge technology to combat this aggressive disease, aside from antiquated conventional medicine that has been an overall proven failure rate. Please answer this messag...

I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in May of 2015. Since that time I was put on chemo and a blind trial. And my cancer has not progressed. It wasn't until July 27th 2016 when I had a CT scan performed how the results showed new cancer in my lungs at a 30% development. This has caused my current chemo treatment plan to be disregarded and a new plan will be taking place effective August 9th, 2016.
