How is your husband doing? I'm so sorry that he's so ill. And yes, there are IV medications that a home RN could administer, there are also skin patches available that contain a very potent narcotic called Fentanyl, so they might help him more, too. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Has his doctor made any suggestions? ## I am very sorry to hear about your husband I...
On Sutent been on it for 2ytd the 2 breaks I have head pain when I cough or bend over !! Don't have it while taking it . Any ideas ## It sounds like you're experiencing symptoms that may be related to withdrawal. If you've been on it for 2 years (ytd?) then I can see how a two week break from it would cause this. I don't know if Sutent is commonly known for causing withdrawal symptoms, but I do know that after a long duration of time, your body becomes more dependent on the medication and when you stop taking it, it can get confused, per say. Are you back on it now? ## Been on Sutent 37.5 for 20 days felt very good. Didnt realize the 800mg was making feeling strange. Now the last five days, Im fatigue, loss of appetite, and sweating like crazy in the middle of the night. ...

UpdatedWhere in Jacksonville, Fl. can I find this product for the lowest price? Helping a friend with cancer. ## Most pharmacies should carry it, or should be able to order it for you. my husband underwent brachytherapy iodine 125 about five weeks ago.He was made fully aware of the likely side effects of the treatment for himself. However since returning home from hospital we resumed sleeping in the same bed after the first few days home. I am post menopausal. 58 years old Vaginal ultrasound shows endometrial long at 11mm small fibroid and polyp. Endometrial Biopsy results were benign. Gyno put me on 40mg megestrol for 2 months. Took it for 1 week and my stomach bloated so much I looked 8 months pregnant. Cramps, headaches, the worst PMS I have ever had. No bleeding but running to bathroom thinking I was. I'd rather have a D&C to thin the lining and to be absolutely sure the fibroid and polyp are benign. I refuse to take megestrol - these make me crazy crampy severe PMS weight gaining pills and it's cruel to prescribe and expect a 58 year old postmenopausal woman to go thru this bodily hell. Menopause was bad enough. Not for me! Asking for D&C. ## I am very sorry about the issues you've experienced, t...
anyone with experience using Faslodex? How painful are injections? Any tricks to make this more tolerable? What can be done to lessen nausea and vomiting etc? ## HI, I have been taking Faslodex injections for 1 year and 5 months. My oncologist started me on this because the tamoxifen I was taking didn't work for me. The first year I was on Faslodex, I was given one injection a month. In April 2009 I started receiving 2 injections a month. This was after a meeting (discussion) of this product and how well it was working for patients taking it. I started out Stage 0-1, had the lumpectomy. I refused radiation and was prescribed tamoxifen. At my next mammogram I was diagnosed Stage 1 and went with the left breast mastectomy. At that time I was given an oral chemo. After this treatment, ...

Hi All. I am new to this experience. I learned on 12.12.16 I had a 4.7 CM Gist in my stomach with a mitoic rate of 7. The gist was removed 1.12.17 and I began a 3 year journey on a daily dose of 400 mg of Gleevec on 1.25.17. As time progressed, so did my side effects. By April 2017 the side effects were beginning to side line me. It was difficult to quantify these to my team, made up of an oncologist, ontological surgeon and gastroenterologist. Oh and the Blue Shield research pharmacist also (A free and wonderful resource). I had "nausea" but was not inclined to upchuck. I had "reflux" but no pain. I was told I could dose down on the Gleevec - but that sounded like a a bad idea to me, long term. I was given Nexium, Carafate, all sorts of acid reducers to no avail. Ginger ev
Updated in GleevecI am taking 30mg a day for Polycythemia and have a side effect which is puzzleing. Suddenly I have no saliva and raw inside cheeks. Also, water tastes sour. Has anyone else had such a strange side effect? Been taking the drug since March 2014, and aside from weight gain and tiredness, no complaints. ## Hello, Chinchie! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. According the side effects listed by the FDA, mouth sores have been reported with this medication and virtually any medication may cause dry mouth, you may also experience cough, nausea and easy bruising. However, I didn't find anything about the change in taste, but there's a chance that's just due to the mouth sores. Have you had your doctor look at them, yet? ## Jakafi can cause dry m...
