Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 7) (Top voted first)

Updated

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

Re: Billy (# 398) Expand Referenced Message

I replied last week but they never put up my post, I don't know why. Basically what I said was all you guys and girls taking these crappy useless Camber pills do have another option especially if you go to a PM DOC might be a little harder for the person going to a general practitioner. But why don't you guys just switch to the Roxicodone 10mg it has no acetaminophen in it and the ones my friend girl gets are round and pink. They probably make other generics that are different colors but that right there will solve all your guys problems no more having to fight with Walgreens or CVS or trying to find a mom n pop spot that has something besides Camber. They also make a 15mg that are round and green. I don't see why your doctor wouldn't prescribe these to you especially if he's fully aware of your problems having to deal with these stupid camber pills. I thought I'd share this with all of you n hopes of helping you if you thought you were stuck with no other choice, now you have two choices the 10mg or the 15mg oxycodone and if your doc wants you to take acetaminophen with your new pill have him write you a script for 500mg Tylenol or IB Profin 800mg. I hope this helps out some of you and I know some of you won't be able to do this because your General Practitioner can't write for those (or WON'T WRITE FOR THOSE SHOULD I SAY)

And something else to try would be Zohydro yes I know it's only hydrocodone but it's supposed to be just as good as the 5 and 10mg oxycodone. I only bring this drug up because some doctors won't write for oxycodone so now he don't have to. Tell him or her (the doctor) that is only hydrocodone it's a step down from the oxycodone you've been getting so their should be no reason he wouldn't write that for you. And trust me from what I hear Zohydro is pretty darn good and I'm sure it would beat those crappy Camber pills that's getting EVERYONE SICK it's worth a try. Please let me know what you guys think and if any of this info I gave you guys helped good luck to all of you

Yes!! Amen to Alvogen Pharma! After months of side effects from the devil due to all generic percocets including endo, camber, rhodes, activas, etc. I’ve tried ALVOGEN IS THE BEST! I have my life back. Thank you Publix pharmacy! Hope this helps all my friends on this sight!

Re: Robbie (# 432) Expand Referenced Message

What you said here; (Actavis is worth more than the Camber, on the street? The Camber is cheap because it is crap.” He had no reply to that.), except Im not sure about the cheaper part. From my research, its impossible to find Actavis 5/325 and i did a lot of research. The independent pharmacy that i switched to (from Walgreens) has Actavis 10mg and 15mg. I dont quite get that because I thought the higher dosage was 7.5 or 10. However, my palliative care doctor would prefer not to go up at this time, even though I cut them like yourself. What they are doing to us will have little to know influence on illegal drug use IMO. Everything I have used since the first of the year is less effective. If I became immune after 2 yrs, than its one heck of a coincidence that it happened overnight on Jan. 1st, 2018. I think that they have cut back the active ingredients in all of them. It's just causing a higher use and frankly side effects like constipation. I rarely had a problem with the Actavis.

I use to get by with 2 to 2.5 of the 5mg Actavis in a 24hr period and Im dealing with nerve pain from lung cancer surgery. Now, I struggle to keep it to 3. Camber was the worst. Not only more pain but the withdrawal factor with no alternatives. It's inhumane. I got the actavis back for 2 months from Wallgreens and then they cut it off again. By the way, dont ever look for help from Corporate Wallgreens. They are corrupt.

Yes Walgreens has changed. They are busier because quantity of refills have been cut back. They never answer the phone anymore, always a line and the drive thru line is ridiculously long.

About the Alvogen percocet vs. the opioid without tylenol. I tried the opioid w/o tylenol for a month but didnt keep track of the exact usage in a 30 day period but it was about same. I didnt have any unusual side effects. I had a script for percocet and was busy getting an MRI and endoscopy so I told the Doc that i would just fill it. The 5mg Alvogen are blue. What i read after your comment that the Oxy works better with tylenol was; It acts quicker but does it last longer? Cant seem to find that answer.

I'm going to talk to both pcp and palliative doctor and try to find out. The part i didnt care for with the (EPIC manufac.) Oxycodone was the pills are very small (white) and hard to cut. However, they are made and manufac. in the Us (New Jersey). Id prefer to skip the dyes, one less garbage binder and filler. I'm thinking they worked better though. I'm so damned confused, Im not sure. However, I think Im going to try those again. These Alvogen seem to wear off in less than 2 hrs. Not the side effects like Camber. Anyhow, I dont recall that happening with the Oxycodone 5mg. At first I used some tylenol but eventually didnt use it. I really dont think tylenol does much good and it has side effects other than liver damage. Hard on your stomach. Between dealing with a recurrence of lung cancer and this, I struggle to find some quality of life. I hope that those who created this mess get what they damned well deserve in return. As if the medical system wasn't BROKEN ENOUGH.

I will definitely keep you posted on anything i learn. I can refill in a week and I think I'm going with the Oxy. I use to get 90 at a time. The script says 4 a day (even though not using that) but now I can only get 60 and it's more trips to the pharmacy and Im a cancer patient. Pretty damned scary. I dont know if I helped you or not ((-:

Re: jeeperscreepers (# 437) Expand Referenced Message

I feel this will turn into a huge class action suit against Big Pharma for YES, ALL GENERIC PERCOCET whether Camber, Rhodes...all of them. The formulation has definitely changed behind our backs. There’s proof of this in this amazing MedsChat site that has given us the opportunity to give us Chronic Pain Patients who have been on a regimented, managed program for years a voice; each of us now in numbers individually from all over feeling same side effects happened upon this site; I am sure we all feel better in sharing knowing we r not crazy & haven’t developed some unrelated unexpected disease, however, this doesn't fix the fact that we have been made sick. Sad it took us all years Im sure after failed procedures, tests, surgeries, other meds to finally find a med that made our lives tolerable, a balance, being able to walk ALL OF IT! Why should 95% of us legitimate patients this oxycodone percocet patients who do not abuse & respect this med be dissed, unforgotten due to addicts, etc. I could vent all night on this but the fact & prayer is all it takes is one attorney & Pain Mgmt Doctor’s to get mad, fight, gather info, etc & get the ball rolling to fight this via class action suit. Everyone, track your symptoms, keep a log monthly of your refills & name of each generic manufacturer of what your given, side effects, a file of your history which made percocet your last alternative, how it changed your life, etc. I’m done with letters to Congress, Gov’t...Our lives & this opioid crisis have become nothing more than a political platform for them to get votes. Period. Like I said, the time will come soon I hope for someone to step up & represent us without fear. Hang in there.

Thank you mark, joe and Bella for taking the time to write a response to my thoughts and grievances. Mark, I did open the document pertaining to the meeting that I'm going to listen to and vote on changes to Pain Management. I will be giving that discussion a piece of my mind before the deadline of the 25th. I need to gather my thoughts to make the best impact. I also certainly encourage other chronic pain citizens that feel they are being flushed down the swamp hole, to take a look at this document too and add to it, your voice. We will not be silenced. Quite frankly, I think they are trying to do just that to us. Stay strong my friends. I'm trying and that's not easy but together hopefully we can somehow get just one foot into the door.

Re: Bella (# 485) Expand Referenced Message

I read these posts and am shocked that this camber brand is, that bad!! I know there are some s***ty generics out there but this one takes the cake! Thank God I never had to deal with this brand or strength. But if it were me I would have had my doc change me to straight oxycodone 15mg no acetaminophen they are made by Acativis, Mallincrot and many others. I've never had a problem (I am on the 30mg IR) I feel so bad for you guys that have to go thru all this BS. I know some of you guys can't get your doc to write for that high of an instant release but if you can't get no relief from the crappy Percocet then that is the next logical solution. I hope you guys all find relief and find a new good doc that listens, to your problems. I'm gonna do some research on these Camber Pharmaceutical jerks and see what I can find. Untill then...

I found an independent pharmacy that can order Mylan; which is manufactured in the US. At least for now. (: They carry Teva and have had no problems but that's manufactured in India too. This is pharmacy I can trust nearby. I lived in the town for 25yrs. and they have been there for at least 10. I will keep you posted on any good, or bad news.

Re: Tammy (# 24) Expand Referenced Message

The way I understand it is; if the doctor is willing to take the pills you have and write a new script that states (early fill) and call the pharmacy, then you can refill it somewhere else. I could tell a week ago that my Oncologist didn't want to be bothered. Instead, she wrote me a script for an antidepressant. Ridiculous, and I'm not taking it. The last thing I want to do is experiment with an antidepressant right now. Fortunately, I can refill according to the records (prescription monitoring program). As far as the insurance paying, that would be due tomorrow; I never use the prescribed amount. I'm going to call palliative care tomorrow and see if the doctor there will give me a new script. Otherwise, I am calling the oncologist again. Then my plan is to call an independent pharmacy I know and try another manufacturer. What a damned hassle to deal with when you are not feeling well, due to defective medication. The pharmacist at Walgreens has been as helpful as he can be but his hands are tied. Camber is all they are receiving from Corporate Walgreens now.

Re: Bubble wrap (# 31) Expand Referenced Message

If a pharmacy does not key in an ndc # it automatically kicks out the preferred brand that the insurance company wants to use.

The fact that i could not get the generic manufacturer that I was using, had nothing to do with the insurance company. I know pharmacist very well and he was completely out of Actavis. When it came in he called me. Im not sure if I read your comment correctly.

I am in north San Diego County and my Walgreens tried to sub the camber for me and I had terrible results and a really a sick stomach! I called and they said I was the second one to complain. They said they had been out of the Actavis but it is now back in stock and they are filling my next prescription with the Actavis. I don't know what the hell to do about the camber as I have just about a month's worth. Walgreens is checking on it for me now. I think it will come down to an insurance issue.

Re: Susan (# 33) Expand Referenced Message

After 22 days on this garbage, I too am really sick to my stomach; in addition to everything else. My stomach is grumbling so loud it keeps me awake. I had diarrhea all night long. Whether the insurance pays or not (the generic Actavis is pretty cheap), the pharmacy will have to have another paper script from the Doctor. At least, thats the way it is in California. This is just awful. Best wishes to you and everyone.

Marv, I have a post detailing some of the information I found in the insert. I dont like the fact that Im putting the same kind of ALCOHOL in my body they use in MOTOR OIL for cars, or any kind of alcohol for that matter in my body. My post is #43. I got these filled a few days ago and I havent been out of the house due to being so sick from these Camber percocet generic. Extremely sick because ive never experienced these kind of symptoms in my life. Walgreens will take notice of losing patients. How can they not? They had my business for the last many years from my PM Doc. My reason for having these is making my life almost impossible to live but on the other generics I was at least managing with as positive of an outlook as possible because I will be this way the rest of my life. Now I'm stuck with this so-called medicine that is supposed to help our pain? Camber in no way has had any kind of effect on my pain, but all the very sick side effects a person can think of. Something has to be done. I'll post the ingredients if this board will let me, but it may not. I will never go to walgreens again. They lost almost 1600.00 in true dollar amount on my combined meds a month.

Re: Bella (# 45) Expand Referenced Message

Yes I found the insert on the camber pharmaceuticals page. It was hard to find but I did. Also I am having the same e,tra pain as u are Bella. Neck, collarbone, arms, and my throat, toung and eyes swelled so bad, had i not had antihistamines I don't know what would have happened. Start on their homepage. If u can't find It, I will find a way to get it to u. I'm so happy u got your activis. Back. I'm on the same insurance and all as u are and 100 percent disabled so I need relief bad. My family is worried for me as well about permanent damage. They have never seen me like this before.

Re: Lildarlin (# 47) Expand Referenced Message

Thank you, I will see if I can find it. Dont trouble yourself to find it. I know how hard this is when you dont feel well. I am so glad you told me about your similar symptoms. The chest the neck/thoat, collar bone and back in the upper shoulders. It started in the neck. I have been petrified; because I had an upper lobectomy with lymph node removal September 2016. No reocurrence as of August. Ive been thinking that the lung has spread and thats whats causing these particular side effect. However if it has, than its been since January 1st. On the 9th of Jan., I tried to get the oncologist to help me and she didnt want to bother. She just thinks its anxiety about my health and suggested an antidepressant. Thank God I had the sense not to add that experiment to the mix. The palliative care went to bat for me. With the new opioid convoluted rules; no one can get more than 120 in 28 days of whatever strength they are taking. My script I filled on December 31st was for 90. So I could only get 30; on the 24th; because you can refill a few days early, he had to write another script for 60 (had to go drive to pick that up); which I could fill two days later.

I hope this is making sense :( I dont know how many your script was for but if its less than 120; your doctor can get you the remainder; without a script. A call to the insurance company should work. The poor pharmacist was so confused. The palliative care doctor told me that generics are fine for some things. Certain conditions only need a portion of the active ingredients to work but pain meds are different. Nothing can be done when the name brand (in my case) would be $1,300. We have to use generic but the fillers in Actavis Never caused me these kinds of problems. Just for you information, I am with LA care HMO. Wallgreens is stocking them again and hope you can do something. With the new guidelines that they have carelessly enforced, one generic can only sell so many opioids a year to the pharmacies. After like a month, they can start the new year. In that transition, the corporate pharmacy has to find another supplier. We are not even considered in this and how our individual bodies might react to these changes. From everything i can tell; the FDA benefits in regulatory fees and the generic drug companies just look for next cheapest manufacturer. Im shocked at what ive read. This is there idea of controlling the opioid crisis. Not even considering people in real pain. Its all political. Anyhow, the very best of luck to you. Please keep in touch.

Re: Arthur (# 11) Expand Referenced Message

Arthur, I came back to see if a patient has noticed the very strong chemical/plastic, smell coming from the bottle of my script I got at Walgreens on Jan. 23. It's been six days now and all I have done is put up with the adverse side effects making me so sick not to mention my tongue, lips, swelling on top of the massive nausea, and explosive headache. I've been on this drug for many years for severe injuries and never have I receive any type of SCRIPT with a smell of the medicine coming out of the bottle when opened. I'm very scared to take another one due to side effects I've never had on the brand and different generics of this drug for several years. Did u call your pharmacy to see if this could be the dye on these? They are yellowish/off-yellow. They are hard like plastic. I'm about to call Walgreens to see if they can look up the lot number for the day I got them filled. This cannot be right. I almost feel I was given the wrong medication altogether. No way I can take these for 22 more days.

Re: Countrygma (# 39) Expand Referenced Message

I too have the plastic/chemical smell coming out of my medicine bottle. This CAMBER generic for Percocet 10/ 325 is ABSOUTLEY wrong! Something is wrong when your lips, toung, eyes, swell, of top of all the patients I see here with extreme nausea. When I open the bottle, it's a smell that your adult instinct would normally tell u, "DO NOT SWALLOW". Its bad enough just smelling it much less this is suppose to be my pain medicine from Walgreens? I'm so upset. I'm in so much pain and I cannot take this poison. U can smell the poison smell when WALGREENS top is opened on my bottle. Actavis was perfecially fine for me. I don't understand how this mess can help anyone. I'm having someone stay with me because I've had two episodes so far I felt like I needed to go to the hospital After taking my prescribed dose from this CAMBER GENERIC. THIS NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET ASAP! :(

Re: Nick (# 54) Expand Referenced Message

I still have 30 of the 90 left. When the palliative care Doctor helped me get the new script, he didnt even ask me for them. He could see that i didnt feel well and was visibly shaking. I think he knew damned well that I was about to take anymore of them. Id like to hang onto them in case i can ever find someone to analyze that poison.
