Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 5) (Top voted first)
UpdatedJust got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?
Re: Henry (# 51)
Yes! I am having the same really strange side effects. It has almost sent me to the ER twice from face, ears, tongue, and lips swelling among the sickness u described. YES IT HAS ALCOHOL IN IT. I FOUND THAT ON THE PAGE OF THEIR PRODUCTS. I thought that was very odd. I'm in withdrawals with them and without. I finally put a call in to my doctor. I'm afraid if I take another one it will kill me!!! Shame on these pharmacies! Especially Walgreens. I've been with them 11 years on this medication for very serious injuries that I will have to live with the rest of my life. This poison needs to be taken off the market!
Re: Henry (# 51)
Is anyone else tired of the government propaganda classifying EVERYBODY who's prescribed opioids as a DRUG ADDICT?
ABSOLUTELY Henry, Im disgusted with government the FDA and anyone involved. Just not sure what we can do about it. Interesting you mentioned the possibility that antidepressants may be in the Camber percocet. Ive been back on the Actavis after 22 days on the poison. I had horrible mood swings. The good news is the stomach pain and gas has slowly subsided. The sore neck and shakiness etc is much better. I dont know how long my Wallgreens will have the Actavis. Before I fill the next script, I will check another store or go with an independent pharmacy and take a chance on Alvogen. That pharmacy told me they are both much better than Camber and he would never go with Camber. I am so sorry for all you went through. Believe me, I thought about an ER trip several times. However, the fear of this deadly flu, kept me from following up.

Ahhhhh!!! Thanks for telling me. I was afraid to try anything else. Seems I got more constipated on the Actavis but its been resolved. I mean thats kind of normal. I try to eat healthy so it wont happen (a little phillips and prunes (which I love) helps. In my infamous wisdom I attributed that to they were actually an effective pain medication. Im going to try to call the company Actavis today. We need to know what the hell the ingredients are in all generic medications. I found a site to message The president. I got upset when he mentioned (in the state of the union) that he was expanding the generic drug companys. I sent a tweet but I dont know if it went through; never used it before (: However, when I get all my facts together (and Im well on my way), Im going to write a loooooooooong message. Does one of us or many have to die from something we are allergic to before something is done.
Re: Bella (# 60)
Was in Walgreens today and how rude! She said Walgreens were not getting it at all and she coulfmd not order it because the medicine is not there to order. She said on backorder and stated she had no idea when WALGREENS would ever get it again. When u have been a customer for 12 years u should expect better customer service. If this continues, I'm gonna have my doctor take me down to hydrocodone 10/325. At least I won't have these horrible side effects. I'm on the strategic patches too but in no way will I ever get any of my medicines at any of our 40 or so Walgreens. Honestly I don't think she was telling the truth.
I am in Tennessee. I have two physicians. My pain specialistic I see every month for monitoring, testing, pill counts, and it's a very strict program which I'm very happy to have all this. It lets my doctor weed out the ones who slipped through the cracks to get in there. Very professional. I was very lucky to get him 5 years ago. The Walgreens I spoke to today was one of the most uncaring location out of 40 stores or more in my local area in driving distance. I had an appt. With my other physician that works with my pain doctor, that provides me with my medication for severe anxiety, etc. This pain has affected me in many ways. Both docs work together and know what I take so on my monthly test, medicines from both come up. Amazing how many faces I have seen leave do to the extreme testing every month. It's not in-house testing. Sent off and it detects. FAIL PROOF. That's why a lot of patients have been let go. It tells who is there for true chronic pain as myself, and some not there for quite the right reason. I would put up with this testing all day long to be able to receive my severe pain relief. I have never in the last 6 years have questions on my test. I would not risk it for anything.
So, I went in to the Walgreens, that may be the worst in customer service, and she was so rude, and didn't want to talk about it. I know she wasn't telling me the truth about not being able to get them, especially the fact that actavis was not sending their oxycodone as it was on backorder to Walgreens. I did say, after being a customer for 12 years it didn't sound right as I have heard other Walgreens in different states have even ordered it for chronic pain patients that have allergic reactions to Camber. She didn't care as I told her my allergies that have kept me down the last 2 weeks. She didn't want to hear it. I am able to go over state line with my insurance so I haven't given up yet. If worse comes to worse, I will talk to my doctor about putting me on the strongest hydro 10/325. That is much better than no pain relief and the sickness from Camber. She did say they can order watson since it's a different med. I have a few options for some mom and pop stores before I resort to that. If it wasn't for my Duragesic patches (low dose) I would probably be in the hospital. I didn't realize how much pain relief I had on the actavis the last 4 years for breakthrough. My doctor today kept telling me to call my pain doc for early refill even if it has to be hydro until this mess can be straightened out. My anxiety meds has helped the shaking, and withdrawals the camber has thrown me in. This doc thought I was a mess today and was typing every word in I explained about camber and my allergic reactions. I finally slept today after taking my anti-anxiety meds. NOT an antidepressant by the way. Susan I'm not giving up on this. True chronic pain patients as all of u need to not back down as well. I have so many damaged bones and I'm 100 percent disabled. Shame on walgreens!

No they did not order them. They happen to get a supply of them in. They can try to order but they only have available what the corporate office sends them. They cant order what corporate does not have. I've explained here several times that Actavis was cut off after the reached their annual limit on controlled substance; until their new calendar year begins. Then Corporate has to get a new provider for Oxy/Percocet. Sadly, they chose Camber. Now they will want to use up the Camber but you could try Walgreens corporate and tell them what store you deal with. I did but other than that, they referred me to the Camber the company and seemed annoyed like they had many calls. Camber was useless. Got nothing from them but a referral to India. I know the pharmacist well and ask him to call me when/if he got Actavis in. I've talked to Actavis, who referred me to Teva in Pennsylvania. Teva bought out Actavis in August of 2016. They were professional and answered all my questions. She emailed me the ingredients in Actavis and is checking to make sure there has been no recent change in formula. Also, she will check and let me know where the fillers and binders come from but they are manufactured in the US. I want to try to call Camber in India and see if they will provide the ingredients for their poison. Last time i tried to ask them questions, they wanted my name and number to call me back. I didn't give them my cell phone number. I will send the ingredients for the Actavis.
am in the same boat with being switched from Actavis to Camber generic percocet, oxycodone/apap 5/325. I have the nausea, headaches and my pain is not any better. I spoke to a pharmacist at Walgreen's and she compared the inactive ingredients of both for me. She said there's a blue dye called "Blue #1" in the Camber brand. I was wary of her telling me that it shouldn't make a difference at all. I did some research and found out it can cause a lot of bad side effects, including headache and nausea! As well as anxiety and nervousness. It's used in a lot of foods as well, but I figure most people don't go around eating blue food (aside from the occasional bite of candy). Supposedly many people are sensitive to it and don't even know. Some countries are required to put a warning label on products containing it. There is also an ingredient called "Crospovidone" which is added to aid in the absorption of the active ingredient by speeding up disintegration. Of course, some brands may add more or less... Either they are absorbing too quickly or barely at all. That with the added side effects of the dye completes the effect of feeling like total garbage on these things. It's really unfortunate:/ At first I missed Watson, now I actually miss Actavis!!
Re: Lildarlin (# 78)
If you are getting a combo of oxycodone and Tylenol ask the pharmacist to see if oxycodone 10 is made by another genetic manufacturer like kyk tech. They are smetican and most people have no problem. Add your own tylenol. Then you just need a new script from your doc stating your allergies and insurance will cover. Have to give script for combo back to Dr or pharmacist do not continue to take if it makes you sick! Just my way of working it out. Also my hospital has a Walgreens rep for their bed to home program who was more than happy to get and fill scripts for me.
Re: Bella (# 99)
All of your side effect symptoms are exactly the same as mine for months now. This is VERY sad & VERY scary, giving me chills knowing they (Big Pharma) are using us as their guinea pigs, poisoning each of us who trusted in them to remedy us! Years ago in Pharma Developement testing new meds & formulas pharmaceutical companies they’d have volunteer test patients noting side effects, etc before being approved. Now they seem like sneaks & do as they wish adding poisonous fillers. Seems to me some at FDA & DEA could be on the “balance the population” pay-to-play kickback $$ payroll?!? Yes u’all, it's so hard to conceive; but it’s happening. Our many posts tell by the # of us “good patients” who have been on pain mgmt for years after all procedures for conditions have failed... surgeries, injections, specialists & now all of us having this common denominator of side effects SUDDENLY in last year or so. We cannot be naive to this. A good place to start bringing all this to light is to speak to your Dr’s & Congress; yes they are busy but get their email address, write them, phone them; pump them full of our justification research & don't be afraid to speak your voice. It's YOUR life, YOUR body & not their’s to play basketball with. Xoxo to all.
Re: Lildarlin (# 129)
I don't know about you but Ive been in withdraws most of the time. Its not suppose to release the naloxone unless you crush or try a CWE. MY DR told me that your body don't absorb naloxone but what about the nasal spray for overdose it gets absorbed the nose Pain meds are a trillion $ a year business the Pharm. co aren't going to give that up. They know this not working but everyone is hoping a different brand will work and a lot of people will believe it does but those of us who has tasted the nectar of the gods know better. They will make their big $ off the next generation. A sucker is born everyday according to W. C. Fields.
Re: MeJane (# 132)
This is so bizarre. We are all having the same horrible side effects. This alone should be enough cause to give us severe chronic pain patients a choice of what we know what works and what don't. That should be mandatory. Speaking for myself I am suffering. Literally suffering
Ok naloxone, yes you that have been added to the GENERIC pain pills, thank you for adding yet another side effect to my already long and growing list, metallic salty taste in my mouth, although it's not as bad as the stomach issues and intestinal pain, the migraine headache, extreme weakness, no appetite, sweating / chills, extreme fatigue, I guess I can live with all of that AND the chronic pain. Thank you government for fighting the opioid epidemic by saving the lives of the abusers. I guess that if I'm writing this, I too have been classified as a drug abuser and need saving, gee, wish I felt like I was being saved and not thrown into the garbage. My Camber oxycodone t193 bulls*** pill is ruining my life and I guess because I'm not an addict, there is no hope living in hell. America the great?
Re: Bella (# 147)
Ask your pharmacist what they are putting in all opioids to block the euphoria feeling. The feeling when the pituitary gland produces a hormone called oxytocin. The warm, fuzzy, happy, motivated and the feeling of well being feeling you feel when you take opioids. That feeling accounts for 75% of your pain relief and the opioids account for 25%.
I tthink we need to start with a letter writing campaign to the surgeon general with a CC to the white house, basically stating that we are NOT JUNKIES but chrnic pain patients who need help. Nothing to lose but a stamp.

I spoke to a very pleasant helpful person who said the surgeon general does not have regulatory power over the FDA but is a good starting point. In your email please reference this thread. I explained that generics are causing us in the chronic pain community a great hardship. I said chronic pain patients such as us are tired of being treated like junkie criminals when we go to fill an RX, and she suggested we have our doctors be very specific when writing an RX to fill it out for the brand we best tolerate, which is not always easy getting PRIOR AUTH. from our insurance companies. Delays cause pain if your running low on meds or out. She also suggested googling and joining advocacy groups for chronic pain since that would give us a bigger voice. I look at it as a start.
Re: Lildarlin (# 171)
I know Wallgreens will not order the Actavis if they run out. I have a very good relationship with the pharmacist and he tried after I got the Camber. Thats why, in the future, I will check way ahead of time and if they dont have it, I think the independent pharmacist will order it. It took a while for my stomach issues to get better when I got back on the Actavis. That Camber (among other issues) was burning my throat. I felt like my neck was on fire. The anxiety and heart palpitation was through the roof. Whoever is responsible for making and distributing that poison; I hope they suffer.
Re: MeJane (# 170)
Your right. It has nothing to do with tolerance. I got my actavis percocet back and it's a true pain medication. It's as if I haven't taken a real pain medication in 31 days. Please don't let any pharmacy ever tell chronic pain patients that it's our tolerance. If anything after taking the camber Percocet for a month, my actavis is acting stronger as a true pain med, and its giving me the relief chronic pain patients are suppose to have. Nothing to do with tolerance. God Bless.
Re: MeJane (# 196)
If its really true that Camber percocet is no problem for Friend4u; maybe he/she has a cast iron stomach.
Re: JMJ (# 194)
Sometimes you're options are to take what you got or go through withdrawals. Getting the pills replaced is not easy. Most dr's,mine included, won't just write a new script when they just gave you a 30 day supply. Also the insurance most likely won't cover it. The pharmacy would not take my pills back (walgreen). They told me once they cross the counter and leave the store they can't take them back. My dr called them to ask them to order what they used to carry to replace my script, they also told her no. It could be different in other states. Before giving me a new script my dr (who also legally could not take the pills from me) wanted me to properly dispose of the medication but provide proof. With the opioid crisis dr's want to cover themselves. Even my local police department couldn't help. Every one just pointed me to their drop box. But that method offers no proof. Since i hit nothing but brick walls i asked my dr what i should do for the rash and if they could give me something for nausea. I already suffer from a number of gastrointestinal issues so this was no picnic for me. Eventually I did find a way to get rid of the pills and get a receipt. In my state (CT) it was the department of consumer protection's drug enforcement division. It took me 2 miserable weeks to get rid of those Camber pills. Besides making me horribly sick mine had blue dye in them, which i am allergic to, thankfully not life or death allergic. So for some the options are take the pills and hope it the side effects lessen as your body adjusts or don't take them and go through withdrawals. But just getting a replacement or new script called in somewhere else is incredibly difficult if not impossible for some. That is why we keep taking them.
