Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 4) (Top voted first)
UpdatedJust got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?
Re: Bella (# 345)
Hi Bella, and thank you for your reply. I’ve long done business with Walgreens, and have never been treated like I was 2 days ago. The pharmacist completely discounted my complaints and said she “would NOT order a different brand of OxiContin to accommodate me.
Yesterday was HELL for me. I’d been up all night the night before vomiting and had a severe bear migrainal headache from the Camber pills. My roommate ended up having to drive 70 miles to my doctors office to turn in the POISONOUS pills I’d picked up the day earlier. He said my doctor treated him like a criminal. She had a pharmacist come to her office to verify what I turned in was the toxic pills and not something I manufactured myself overnight. Then, finally, he was given a new script for me to filll at CVS Pharmacy. My insurance wouldn’t cover the script cuz I just filled it 2 days before. We had to pay $100 dollars to get the new meds.
I understand how tricky opioids prescriptions are for both doctors and pharmacy’s, but like you said, they need to learn better ways of communicating with their customers so they don’t come off as condescending and rude. They treat everyone like a full blown drug addict.
The new pills I got are pill #512. I’ve never taken this brand either. They don’t make me sick like Cambers did, but seem to be not very strong.
I will NEVER, EVER take another drug product from Camber pharmaceuticals. They should be sued for poisoning people. I’ve read hundreds of complaints from people who’ve taken their toxic meds. It’s sad that here in the USA, we cannot trust Pharmacies to get us the medications we need. Cambers headquarters is based in INDIA! Scary!
Re: Fed Up (# 341)
Hi, I picked up Mallinckrodt generic 5/325 OxyContin from pharmacy yesterday to replace the TOXIC pills I was given from Camber. I’d have to say they seem weak, not nearly as effective as the ones I was on before Walgreens went rogue and brought in the poisonous Camber meds. I’m very disappointed in Walgreens for being so flippant about my violent reaction to the Camber Oxy’s. You’d think they’d want to do whatever possible to remedy the situation, get drugs from a company that don’t make me sick. But they didn’t care. They talked down to me, discounted my problem, minimized my complaint. I have 3 other prescriptions I’ve been getting from Walgreens for YEARS, and plan to yank all of those, too, and take to CVS who currently isn’t dispensing Camber products.
Why are we getting drugs from INDIA anyway? WTH? ??
Someone from Camber called me this morning after I sent a complaint to them about how sick I got after taking their generic version of Oxy 5/325. I couldn’t even hardly understand him because his accent was so strong. I had to spell everything to him. They’re going to kill somebody someday with their so-called medications. If they haven’t already. ??

Exactly how I felt, like I had the flu or poisoned. Just si you know you are not alone. God bless you & I pray we can all bond together as one voice for us; not just w/this Camber generic but the overall generics of percocet & its derivatives where there is obviously a formulation change. There are just too many mutual complaints/side effects on this fabulous website to think otherwise.
Re: Mark (# 359)
If you really want to get extremely angry and read about what a Think Tank called CATO Institute has to say about the government and its agencies on this completely fake opioid crisis goto my older thread 359 and read all the articles that the CATO Institute has written...
Jeffery Session, this highly educated individual believes that he is going to get the pharmaceutical companies to cut opioid manufacturing by half. His reason, there is way too much of it on the streets for our young to overdose on. He has renewed his vow to fight this epidemic!!! Sir Jeff even believes that the people fighting chronic pain should be given other means to fight their pain besides pain pills!!! Get me a bucket, I'm so sick of this government trying to make chronic pain look like something that can be cured with breathing mountain air. First they cut the prescription down by half, then, altered the prescription to make it do nothing, now they want to reduce the manufacturing by half. What's next, GONE, yup that is the plan. No wonder Heroin is on the rise, along with suicide among people with chronic pain. Sad indeed.
Re: MeJane (# 431)
I'm so sorry for all of us chronic pain patients posioned by camber :(
Hello to all of you that are at this thread,
I’ve been trying to figure out The Who / what/ where/ when/ and the why pertaining to the responsible party that has made our lives a living hell. I’m almost certain that all pain meds have been stomped on to reduce their effectiveness and therefore we to are getting the same , reduced to non existent. My life prior to the big change was tolerable and now I find myself at a place that feels like the bottom of a dark hole , I’m trying to keep my head looking up , trying to find the truth in all of this and that’s what is soo frustrating, there isn’t any truth in this, I find nothing but lies ,
When Camber tried to poison me I informed the pharmacist that I would take all of my prescriptions elsewhere he then decided to accommodate me by ordering the old Actavis 7.5 , finally back to, I can get off of this damn couch ,,, yeah right , things have gone very much down the swamp hole, What’s wrong with wanting to feel good, why is it sooo bad to take a pill that reduces pain enough so that we are productive, functioning humans. I’m sooo damn sick and tired of trying to hunt down the truth in this b.s opioid crisis,I just want to get on with life, and that isn’t happening,,,
W. Pharmacy orders Actavis 7.5 for me,,, really, is that what they are really doing,, cuz I can’t seem to find that Actavis / Teva Pharmaceuticals manufactures 7.5s ,, and these oblong flat PAIN PILLS are so soft and powdery I’m amazed they aren’t turning to dust . What are these mysterious things and what are they doing to my health, HELLO , whoever is making these, naloxone isn’t good in a pain pill for people with chronic pain . Naloxone has not been studied for long term use ,, oh wait!! I’m the human lab rat ,,oh ,,,, well why didn’t you say !!! ? Hmmm ,, I missed the memo giving me as a HUMAN that choice. I feel like I’m being slowly poisoned . headaches every single day , that’s new , as well as every single muscle in my body is deteriorating at lightning speed. Fixing the opioid crisis, oh ,,, Well then I guess that’s ok ,,,I have one word
Genocide
Re: Bella (# 484)
It would literally take a millionaire with a team of lawyers who would be willing to take the time and effort to fight these giant pharmaceutical companies and their multi-million dollar lawyers they have! God Bless him if he's out there and willing to take on the cause--
Re: MeJane (# 497)
The pharmacy is feeding you pure BS, they can order anything, problem is COST. Either your insurance wont pay or pharmacy is instructed NOT TO. You have to be a polite yet *****y customer. Contact the PHARMACY BENEFITS COMPANY for your insurance carrier. Those are the bean counters. Say you need a SUPERVISOR ONLY. Get the supv name and tell him or her your family attorney needs to know who to sue after your death (god forbid) for forcing you to taper or use crap generics. Go to GoodRx they might have a non chain pharmacy in your area. Good luck and keep us all posted. Remember we are PATIENTS NOT ADDICTS.
Re: Marvin (# 500)
To the best of my knowledge and I should say; Ive been through all the BS with medications. Pharmacy's will not take the pills back once you sign for them and leave the store. If its a chain pharmacy they have no control over whats sent to them by corporate. If its Wallgreens (that I have dealt with), they only have Camber in percocet and oxycodone. I switched to a different independent pharmacy for pain medication. They can be flexible; although I still think once the med's leave the store they can not take it back. I had to fine a Doctor that would support me and give me a new script. I had to raise hell with the insurance company. Even with the independent he could only get Actavis percocet in 7.5mg and 10mg. I use 5mg; so I switched to Oxycodone from Epic pharmacy and use tylenol with it. Camber is dangerous IMO but then so are alot of the generic drugs today.
This whole mess with Oxycodone and the fools that made up all these senseless rules just make me sick. My Doctor recently wrote a script for 125 5mg pills for the month. She went 5 over the current limit, just to make sure i would be ok until my next appt. NOPE.....can only fill 120 at a time;without prior approval from ins. However, they would have given me a much higher dose of 120 if the script was written for that. Now what kind of sense does that make. Its a joke and its a rule made up by jokers. It certainly isnt about my well being and saftey. I use to be able to fill my script 3 to 5 days in advance. NOw, I can not until 1 day before. Have your Doctor up to the dosage to make it more per day; so that you can fill it when its convenient. We have to outsmart the idiots who are running our control and playing Doctor.
Re: Bella (# 502)
Just wanted to say I agree with you Bella! So sorry for everyone who suffered taking Camber poison.
Walgreens is still ordering Actavis for me.
There have been a couple of months where they forgot and luckily after explaining the situation to Wal Mart, they agreed to fill it for me when Walgreens can't.
They carry several different brands and so far I have received KVK and Mallinckrodt. I know they also carry Rhodes but didn't have them when I was there.
I had no problem with either of those brands.
My PM doctor says to keep spreading the word about this poison.
He says that if there is enough bad press about it or people start taking their business elsewhere, these pharmacies will be forced to stop stocking this crap.
Everytime I think about how sick I was on Camber it makes me angry.
Anyway, glad you all are feeling better.
Thanks for spreading the word!
I also told them not to put that I won't accept Camber Percocet but no Camber products period!
No way would I trust ANY of their poison!
Ive been forced to use this 5mg percocet for 15 days. What ive learned; A half of tablet of the Actavis would last me, about 4.5 hrs. Then I might feel a bit of anxiety and some pain. The Camber last about 2.5 hrs and then the anxiety is overwhelming; fast heart beat, short of breath, cant concentrate. The anxiety bothers me more than the pain. Also, excessive gas, with every thing I eat. I eaat very healthy. This crap is highly addictive. I can get a new script on the 19th. I never run out before the script is due. If I cant find Actavis, then I must try something else. These wealthy powerful drug Companys dont give a damned. I wouldnt waste my time reporting it the the FDA; because they receive a huge profit from the Drug Companys. I dont know how these people sleep at night.
I am in the same boat as you are. And it is not helping my pain
To those of you that are getting Camber Pharmaceuticals from Walgreens, I have good news. At least this week. They are back to Actavis. What a difference in the two. Totally pain free right now... no nausea, dizziness or sleepiness. I hope they keep this manufacturer. Just thought I would drop a good piece of news for those who were suffering like me the past few weeks. Oh, by the way, I’m in Washington State.
Re: Tammy (# 28)
Spark has let us know that Walgreens Washington has the Actavis back. I called my local Walgeens (Calif.) and he checked. Just came in yesterday. Some convoluted rule where each manufacturer is limited on the amount of opioids/Percocet they can sell per year. After like a month, they start a new year; yet the pharmacy can buy from another manufacturer and distribute as necessary. Like I said; some convoluted rule made up by our powers that be; since the war on opioids. However, I have read that its something to do with generic company competition. Who knows, we aren't being told the truth but somehow IMO I think the FDA and whoever else is benefiting monetarily at the cost of our misery. I can't believe that these generic drug companies are not even required to disclose the active and inactive ingredients. We get the ingredients on every over the counter drug and food product; yet ingredients are hidden from us in prescribed medications. Everything has side effects and we should be able to read ingredients and determine if its safe for us as individuals. Criminal behavior!
Re: Bubble wrap (# 26)
Every phcy has a contract. In every contact...they have a preferred brand. If a phcy does not key in an ndc # it automatically kicks out the preferred brand that the insurance company wants to use. It's all about the bottom line.money..nobody cares about if this crap works for pain patients. I'm so afraid of all of our futures and how bad our quality of life we have will continue to be unbearable!??????????
Re: Susan (# 35)
Hi Susan, i explained my issue with my insurance in reply #36. Yours ins. might be different and pay; as long as the doctor approves an early refill. Im dealing with Medicaid, manged care plan. It's really "special" (; A real slice of life.
Re: Countrygma (# 39)
Some of my comment was cut out and all of it was not posted! WHY? Are comments being monitored? There was absolutely nothing that could not have been posted!
Re: Cate (# 20)
Same thing for me! Been on for several months for cancer stage 4. No pain relief just vomiting and nausea. PLEASE fix this as I don't have thousands of dollars to spend on the brand name. My last generic, Activis worked fine. I have been at Walgreens as well.
Re: Lildarlin (# 43)
Call your doctor asap. The pharmacy cannot replace the prescription but the doctor can. You will need to take your unused pills to him and he will be able to write a new script in the reason why and that he has in his possession the pills that are making you sick. I hope this helps!
As a side note, my Walgreens in North County of San Diego filled my prescription one time with camber after almost 2 years of Actavis. I complained and they are now getting the new medication in as they have had a number of complaints. So it is not a firm choice of Walgreens to only carry the camber now. Best!
