Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 10) (Top voted first)

Updated

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

Re: Lildarlin (# 287) Expand Referenced Message

Ok... on the second letter it does me some good according to my doctor and pharmacist because they are tell g me to show this to my doctor and PHARMACIST AND TO NOT TAKE THEIR BRAND, BUT ANOTHER KIND. Ok I skimmed over this last night and now as I read it, it's not only my complaint, but they have my symptoms ( all if them) as if they are talking to someone other than myself. For them to tell me Not to take the camber brand made by accent... I'm sorry folks but it sounds like they know something is wrong with at least the 10/325 Percocet. My own doctor smelled the vinegar, noted it in my records. He could be the one helping me Not take this mess anymore. I'm taking it to my appointment Thursday for the light down my stomach, pain doc, and pharmacist. I want to hear what they have to say when their company is retelling me Not to take camber anymore

I was never mad at anything you posted. I'm mad at the companies that are making this garbage. With the help of my doctor I was able to find a new pharmacy and no longer have to take the Camber pills. Although I still feel sick all the time now. I'm glad you have something in writing from them to help with your doctor and pharmacist. My hope is with enough complaints their product is recalled. Good luck with your test. It's a good idea to bring that paperwork with you. That way if you have any permanent damage you have that information. It also may help the doctors know what to look for.

Thankyou for reply! It’s all good. I can figure it out where to report complaints. Main thing is we are helping each other & others to reassure us all there’s something really wrong; not just w/this generic percocet but all of them. I met w/my Dr. & he told me YES; the formula has indeed changed in generic percocet in last 6 mos. The fillers!

- microcrystalline cellulose
- povidone
- pregelatinized starch
- stearic acid.

Specific to doses:

2.5/325mg contains FD&C Red #40

Active ingredients in generics can fluctuate by as much as TWENTY PERCENT, so instead of ten mg oxy u get EIGHT AND SCREWED.

Thank u. I think we are all very upset because the government is playing with our pain. What makes me so angry is pain pills were made for a reason. OUR REASON. SEVERE CHRONIC PAIN. There are too many people in this world that could not survive without them. Millions of job losses without their medication, as this would effect coast to coast business if u think about it. Job losses from millions of drug stores, job losses from factories, and the list goes on and on. They say jobs are up now??? If they keep messing around with our lifeline medication to get out in the world every day just to go get a loaf of bread, that loaf of bread will just sit on the shelf if my medicines were taken away. More jobs loss. Gas not bought as much, car sales down, every business I can think of would be down because millions of chronic pain people run the USA and keep it up and running. Wonder if the ones who are doing this to us have actually thought about all of this. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

Bil (# 308) --

Same thing at my pharmacy. They all know it’s the same ingredients and then I called the regional manager and the FDA. Next thing I know they miraculously found another brand that wasn’t camber and I got a script from my doctor and I had to go through the day and a half of the insurance *****s but got a victory for the little guy.

I had the exact same thing happen to me when I was give the Camber Percocet Mid February. I have been taking pain meds for more than 20 years and have tried probably most of the generics out there by now and never had any significant issues where I would refuse to ever take them again. I got so vomiting sick on these and stomach pains. Not cramps but pains! Very little pain relief if any.

I spent a week on them and then got an appointment to see my doctor and she was able to give me enough hydrocodone to get me thru til I could get the pharmacy to order the Actavis brand for me. I picked those up a week ago and was still feeling crappy from the Camber. I took an Actavis Percocet just as soon as I received them and by afternoon I was feeling more like myself and was able to take a nap! It was like night and day! My body felt poisoned by those Camber Percocet and I will never accept another med from that company. If you are in the same boat, don't wait. Call the pharmacy and let them know what happened so they can note it on your file and order you the usual meds next month and see if your doctor is kind enough to script you something else til your next refill. I would have endured 3 more weeks of not feeling good if I had not asked my doctor. It is criminal what this company is putting out and I hope they shut them down in the near future.

Thanks for the information I'm definitely going to be letting them know what's going on. I had to take one a few minutes ago and now I can't stop shaking. Its literally my whole body and the heartburn is back. I'm starting to get a little worried about this. I'm really starting to think it might be a really bad batch I have never had these issues ever I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now I can barely type this I'm shaking so much.

The main thing is getting the infection gone. Yes this camber Percocet caused an infection in upper stomach huge ulcer. On antibiotics for that and PPI's. Go back for bloodwork in 10 days to see if infection is gone. I'm scard to death in gonna have to have stomach surgery from all this. I knew when I started vomiting small amounts of blood something was very wrong. That was immediately after taking the posion camber. I've never had anything like this in my life with stomach. I'll know a whole lot more when I go back for bloodwork. That's why I was 100 percent fatigued, fever, felt like I was dying. Infection ears up the stomach lining

Re: Fed Up (# 341) Expand Referenced Message

I take their 10-325 now and it is nothing like the Camber! Not saying it's the best, but it does not have any of the horrible side effects that the Camber did.

I take Percocet for chronic bladder pain. I’ve been taking 5/325 Oxys for 3 years with ZERO side effects. Today I picked up my refill from Walgreens and discovered these light blue/speckled pills inside. I took my normal 1/2 pill, and within 20 minutes became extremely nauseous and had a bad, bad headache. Since then I’ve taken 2 more, whole pills, and feel sicker than a DOG. I called my pharmacy and the pharmacist treated me like crap. Said I was the only one who’s complained. I told her how sick I was. She blew me off. This is BS!!!!

Re: Kathi (# 344) Expand Referenced Message

I think that's the pharmacy employee standard answer to the MANY of us who have complained. I do not believe them.... Even my pharmacist a man who I have a good relationship with, kind of pauses and says; well no, maybe some of the other pharmacist have. Ive ask the another woman pharmacist and she says; hmmm, I think one other. In the beginning I ask a tech and he told me yes there were other complaints. Im really a straight forward person and they know it; so i get a look as if they dont want to answer me each of the times ive brought it up. The dreaded question! They open the bottle of Actavis now and show it to me before they ring it up. By the way; they only have the actavis in 5/325. If I need anything stronger it would be Camber. I understand that they work for Walgreens and have no control over what corporate sends them. The job is their livelihood. Im sure they have great benefits and good medical insurance. They cant stand there and tell us that a drug there telling us to take is making people sick.

The manger of the pharma has hinted a couple times that the near by independent pharmacy has more freedom than they do; because they can order from another manufacturer. The one I have talked to, does not carry any Camber drugs. I do believe thats his way of looking out for me. I intended to do the switch eventually but my life has been so busy with doctors appts, insurance company and follow up on medical office staff that dont deserve their jobs, I havent had the time. Plus I like having the pharmacy within walking distance. I'm sorry the way you they made you feel. They could find a nicer way to not tell you the truth; without making you feel like your crazy. At least my pharmacist said he believed me but nothing he could do. Most doctors are real good at making you feel like your just complaining too. I went to an immunologist yesterday that treated me with such respect, it renewed my faith. Caring, thorough, down to earth and truly concerned about all my issues. Unfortunately I think that bed side manner is rare these days. Some have it and most dont. Not something they can learn. Just wanted to share that. I left feeling better mentally and physically.

Any chance that all you people taking these crappy Camber brand can change to either Zohydro10,15 or 20mgER,IR morphine 10-15mg or 7.5mg or 10/325 Vicodin it's just a question not ment to be taken the wrong way. I mean I would do anything in my power to stay far away from those camber Pharmacutal poison pills. Or just get the name brand Vicodin!!! please let me know what you think or give the reasons why you won't switch meds thanx

I agree. I’m taking twice as much for pain and still hurting. I’m hurting all over like I have the flu. Just called Walgreens and told them I want my old ones back. I’m about to die from pain. ??

Re: Rawdog (# 346) Expand Referenced Message

I don't know if I previously posted on this thread or not. I have posted on one of the other threads about this subject. I received the Camber Percocet a couple of months ago and the very first thing I remember was the terrible stomach pain. Not cramps but pain! Then nausea and vomiting, chills, sweats, and I had these weird body shakes. At first just thought I might have the flu but soon realized it had to be the pills after going on the internet and reading that other people were having the same reaction to the Camber. I called Walgreens after 5 days and told them what was going on. They admitted I was not the only one.

Called my Doctor but had to wait two days til my scheduled appointment. I was prepared to suffer the rest of the month without my break thru meds, but my PA had decided to give me enough Hydrocodone to get thru til my next refill of Percocet. She said if asked we were making a med change so that my insurance paid for it. Now how nice was that? I have the best PM office. Then she told me to ask them to order the Actavis Percocet I have taken for years.

So far, Walgreens has been great and ordered the Actavis for me. It took me about 10 days after stopping the Camber to feel anything close to myself. When I got my Actavis Percocet, I got back on my usual dosing schedule and by the end of the day I felt like my old self and was even able to sleep again. It was night and day.

If your pharmacy refuses to order a brand you can take, then I would keep going til I found a pharmacy willing to help and if you have to, get your doctor involved. My PA was willing to call the if I needed her to.

I don't know what is going on but I have been taking Percocet for years and I mean 15-20 years and never had this type of side effects. I didn't feel just sick, I felt poisoned. I read that Camber Pharmaceuticals is like 6 years old and just started manufacturing Percocet late last year.

Thanks for suggesting we all call them. I will do that on Monday. Maybe if they get overwhelmed by calls, they will make changes. I want them to make the changes necessary to their formula because I don't want anyone else to go thru what I went thru. Also Camber manufactures lots of other drugs so make sure anything you pick up in the future, you check and make sure their name isn't on it.

Take care all.

I’ve spent the last 72 hours doing intensive research trying to get to the bottom of this opioid mess since being poisoned by Cambers pharmaceuticals a couple days ago.

I’m learning that the DEA/FDA, Government and pharmacies, as well as some doctors, are all in cahoots to put an end to the opioid addiction problem by 2021. They are adding toxic fillers to opioid products to make users sick. They are reducing the actual amount of the active opioid ingredient down to 2% of what it should be. And from what I’m reading by patients all over America, it’s working. Many are refusing to refill their meds because they’re tired of being poisoned by the additives. Instead, for those that can afford it, people are getting their drugs illegally from God knows who, or where. And they are dying as a result.

I personally can not afford to get “street drugs” (opioids) and knowing what’s out there, would never risk doing so.

Up until I was poisoned by Camber Oxis earlier this week, I’ve NEVER bothered to research manufactures of opioids. I’ve been taking them, as prescribed, for over 3 years with zero side effects or problems. My pharmacy as always supplied the same things, either Activis or Rhodes versions of my generic Percocet. Suddenly after the Camber poisoning I went through this past week, I’m online researching everything I can find out about what’s going on!!! I’m floored at what I’m finding.

These Government agencies are going after and punishing the WRONG PEOPLE! Those of us who use opioids daily for CHRONIC, DEBILITATING PAIN! We depend on these opioids to live a “somewhat” productive life. Without them, many of us simply cannot function, myself included.

I’m angry and frustrated. And rightfully so! Why should I be paying for the mistakes and drug ABUSE of others? I’ve followed my doctor's orders to the letter! I never run out of my mess early, and am responsible with self-dosing. But because a bunch of *****s aren’t, I get to be punished for it, labeled, condemned, and made to suffer.

WTH? Bottom line....this plan that they have to “end” the opioid crisis by 2021, will end up killing more people than they can ever imagine. Trust me on this.

Any thoughts?
