Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 11) (Top voted first)

Updated

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

I was sick for 3 month’s post-taking the Camber after 2 month’s of taking this generic percocet. It took a while to figure out while taking it if my temp spikes, vomitting, diarrehea, increased pain in every joint, seemingly coming from inside/out itchy sporadic skin patches of lil bumps, severe wrap-around stomach pressure & pain, headaches & ear ringing/pressure/vertigo were because of this generic Camber. I truly thought I’d had beginning of a sudden terminal illness. To figure this out day by day I’d eliminate all my well-meds, supplements while continuing this generic so was able to nail it down to where Camber & many generic percocets have been without us knowing been re-formulated. My Pain mgmt Dr agreed w/me as well as my primary Dr so they wrote script for “brand Percocet only, allergic to fillers.” Alot of good that’s done me because NO PHARMACY HAVE AVAILABILITY TO STOCK NAME BRAND & HAVE BEEN LEGALLY INSTRUCTED TO NOT PROVIDE IT TO CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS; you must be in hospital or terminally ill to receive brand. ?!? Who knows who to believe. In meantime I’ve just received another generic; I requested a “no dye’s added” thinking it could be dye filler allergies we are having. My new pill is round, white & ny Rhode’s pharma. I’ll let u all know how it goes this month. e all must stick together as legitimate chronic pain patient’s.
xoxo

Hi Fellow People who were poisoned by Camber Oxi’s.

Well, it’s been an interesting couple weeks since my ordeal with Camber 5/325 Oxi’s. I filed complaints with the FDA, DEA, Walgreens and Camber regarding the severe reaction I had to their version of generic Oxi’s.

A foreigner from India called me. Took down my info.

Walgreens' CEO called me, and thankfully dealt with my local pharmacy that were unwilling to accommodate me following my reaction to the Camber brand. They have been ordered to get me Actavis....PERIOD. And the two pharmacists that treated me like crap, have to go through training again. GOOD!

So, if you’re having issues with Walgreens not accommodating you, refusing to order the brand of pain meds that work for you, file a complaint! Worked for me thank goodness.

Still feeling lousy more than a week after my Camber poisoning. And I’m on a different brand of Oxi’s that are HORRIBLE and weak, but they don’t make me sick. Can’t wait to get my Actavis brand back next month.

Re: Bella (# 384) Expand Referenced Message

Its not just Camber generic percocet; add Rhodes to the list also made in India. I think its all generics in general of this pain med. i feel as if I am being poisoned. With Rhodes now my ears clogged, breathing issuesALL OF IT! Ive been in pain mgmt for years. Something is terribly wrong worse & worse each month this past year. DISTINCT DIFFERENCE. I was authorized for med necessary brand only by my Dr; however it will cost me w/ins $1018 per month for brand. Any suggestions for a generic that you all may use without side effects let me know. This is so unfair. Thanks :(

Re: Jen (# 390) Expand Referenced Message

Im so sorry Jen. CVS is no place to go for your pain meds. It is extremely inappropriate for them to make decisions that should be left to medical professionals. I believe Doctors have been unfairly blamed. I really believe that all the chain pharmacies will eventually cave into to the same political behavior. I called many today; including Vons, Ralphs etc. Some were completely out of percocet or oxycodone today. No Actavis. They nicely informed they have no choice as to what corporate sends them. This is so the officials can brag to the American public about the decrease in opioid usage.

I talked several times to an independent pharmacy. He (the pharmacist) could order Actavis oxycodone in 15mg or 30mg but not 5mg or even 7.5. He only had Percocet in generic Alvogen. My palliative doctor did not want me to up the dose of oxycodone and thought it was a good idea to slowly back of the acetaminophen. He did have oxycodone in Epic generic 5mg; which is manufactured in New Jersey, not India. Currently I cut the 5mg percocet in half and take only a half at a time.

Both the pharmacist and the palliative care doctor agree that this cut back is doing NOTHING for illegal drug use. It is directly impacting chronic pain patients who are taking the medication responsibly as prescribed. At the moment, I see it as nothing but pandering/selling their agenda; just a distraction from taking care of important business They dont care who they harm along the way. Forgive me if I've repeated this in another post. I Wouldnt even Vote if there was an election right now.

I decided to go with Oxycodone generic 5mg and when needed add tylenol. The pharmacist called me when I got home and assurred me there was no crospovidone or any idodine in the Epic. The pills are small and they are white. No dyes. Its a big difference with a small independent pharmacy. They have more freedom. He does not change generics constantly. Oh, and a real plus; there busy but they actually answer the phone and there isnt a line in the drive through pharmacy that looks like in and out burger.

I hesitated to comment until I see how goes but I just think it could be an option for you. Im going to try the straight oxycodone tonight. I will let you know how it goes. I did remember that by accident the oncologist prescribed oxy about a year ago. I switched immediately after trying one; because as I recall, I felt shorter of breath and blurred vision. I talked to the pharmacist and he said; it should not make me any more short of breath than the percocet. It may take a little adjusting. I will try it tonight before bed and eventually get back to you.

One more thing; I called Walgreens corporate yesterday and I was very clear that I just wanted to know if I could have the Actavis ordered. They promised to call back. However all they did was message the pharmacy and tell them to call me about my drug side effects. They knew damned well that I had no complaints about the Actavis. That's It! Never told the truth about why I called. It was too late to call when I got home but I will call them Monday and let them know how dishonest I think they are. I rarely write a yelp review but I will find the time. On second thought, I think I will wait to all prescriptions are transferred. (-:

There was a monetary benefit for them to go with Camber. Until they lose a significant amount of business, we mean nothing to them. More people like ourselves will unknowingly use the Camber and spend days analyzing why they feel so miserable. Like a lot you, I spent untold wasted hours on this while not feeling well. I had to make a decision and do something.

Re: Hawaii (# 392) Expand Referenced Message

Good question Hawaii; thank you for bringing this to light. I’ve been on strict pain mgmt for 15yrs; my body consistently all that time has never felt a side effect, a tolerance issue, etc w/ my percocet 10/325 3x’s a day has kept my life productive “normal” to a tolerable mid range 5-6 on pain scale w/med & spinal inj. blocks 2-3 x’s a year like clockwork....UNTIL SUDDENLY WITHOUT WARNING FOR THE LAST 8 months every month no matter what generic brand percocet refill I’ve gotten (trying a new brand each time...) within 10 minutes of dosing I’ve been feeling side effects as if I’ve been poisoned! (I've never been poisoned but u know what I mean). It cannot be a coincidence that we’ve all been drawn to this site sharing the same concerns & desperate for answers; the reason why & based on our long-term MANAGED use we all realize there’s a distinct formulation change; either an additive &/or elimination of ingredients. My fabulous, compassionate Dr is aware that obviously there's a change in this med as my allergic reaction(s) to whatever PHARMA has done WITHOUT OUR KNOWING like they r using us as guinea pigs without any pre-evaluations to approve any new meds as they used to do so they could knowingly make us sick & stop us & other’s to use oxycodone in any form to make it undesirable to addicts who abuse it. My Dr did prescribe me to try oxycodone 10mg w/out fillers & told me to buy over the counter tylenol 325mg to take with it assuming NO FILLERS would solve my issues. Tried that but obviously PHARMA changed that pill as well. It was & still is a nightmare. My lifestyle & the “me” I used to be has totally reversed. I’m sorry I went on so long in this comment but had so much to say. WE MUST TAKE THE NEXT STEP TO HAVE DRUGS ANALYZED BY A MED LAB! But how? Do we get a class action suit going & start from there?

OMG really?? This is horrible! Are tgey guving us placebos? On purpose??? Would explain so much if true. This is illegal to do to us. We newd to have all generics weve been given analyzed. This is about our lives here.

Re: Spark (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

Yes I got the camber Pharmaceuticals oxycodone 5.0 and they do not work at all. I called Walgreens and they told me that Camber Pharmaceuticals was approved by the FDA and they have no plans to cancel their contract with them. These pills are inert ingredients they have no oxycodone in them and they make you nauseated and they taste like they have aspirin in them instead of acetaminophen.

My friends, I am back after my nightmare with my poison camber just about destroying every bit of my stomach. It has taken 2 full months to get well from it. Most of u know I went through hell on the poison Camber. Bella, Jen, MeJane, Marv, and many more here that are fighting everyday for our Chronic pain meds. I am finally with an independent pharmacy and thank the Lord and God Bless the pharmacist(s) for carrying quality medications that work well on my pain. Camber is not even on their radar. I can't say too much right now but if any of u can get the Alvogen brand. ordered for u at your pharmacist, then do it! No sickness, no nausea, and honestly they are stronger than Actavis to my body. I have extremely severe chronic pain and letting u all know to ask your pharmacist about this brand. My stomach is almost there but not. This will be my one and only pharmacy for all my medications. Don't give up hope. This medicine is available, they are fresh (from my pharmacy anyway) and I just got my second months worth. I know I personally would have died if I stayed on the camber. All the best to all of u great folks. Talk soon when my stomach is better. Camber Percocet really messed my body up, something terrible.

Re: Mark (# 407) Expand Referenced Message

How on earth is one to recover in a hospital? I would think if this is happening in the hospital, then next comes elective surgeries which just cannot be done. This is what I meant way back in one of my posts. All sorts of people will start losing jobs. There's billions in elective surgery, but who will have it if u can't be sedated correctly or put to sleep and not given medication for recovery? The way this is going, elective surgery won't exist....and look at the jobs lost from that. From the surgeon to the girl that answers the phone in plastic surgery offices. NO WONDER A WELL KNOWN PLASTIC SURGEON'S OFFICE WAS CLOSED IN MY AREA, WHEN I KNEW FOR A FACT HE HAD 5 MORE YEARS ON HIS LEASE AND RETIREMENT. IT'S HAPPENING FOLKS!

Sessions has actually said on more than one occasion; "People need to take an aspirin and tough it out". I've never wished pain and suffering on anyone so, I won't say what my thoughts are lately. Please Check out Fox news opinion Greg Gutfeld opioids facts and fallacies. Be sure to check out the link within, especially "ACSH news" and comments. I found the link to send this mental case a message. I will give it a little more thought; because I'm not sure if it will trigger even more insanity in this fool or maybe it will just go in the round file. What are your thoughts Big Red Balloon?

Re: MeJane (# 421) Expand Referenced Message

I know u had a rough time. I know u felt like crying when u had no side effects from the Alvegon. I actually did cry after all the sickness I went through with camber. how on earth is that posion still on the market. only thing I can think of is to keep it so people will get so sick.... they won't take any at all. If that's a thought in someone's head at the top, then they have never experienced chronic pain or acute pain. I guarantee keeping the camber around making people sick and losing parts of their stomach,WAS NOT A DOCTOR'S DECISION. THE 10 MG. PERCOCET CAMBER COULD HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED ON A HUMAN. IF IT WAS, AND FAILED..THEY PRODUCED THIS POSION ANYWAY. I'm just happy for u MeJane. I felt like I could live again too, as I still recover from the damage the camber did to my stomach.

Amen....Well said....It is criminal to take away our meds...Nobody will get prosecuted for that though....Bunch of crap from the top down....I cringe every time i have to get meds because im made to feel addicted...Been taking them as prescribed for a long time...and yes im dependant on them...If i dont take them i cant get out of bed and have some sense of a "normal"life....I still have pain but at least im not bed bound....These bastards couldnt care less....

Re: Marv (# 456) Expand Referenced Message

The side effects from the Camber and lack of effectiveness happened overnight. I tried to discuss it with a couple Doctors and they try to blame it on developing an immunity. Ever since I cant get the original formula of the Activist. Im using more. I stayed stable on the Activis for 18 months. I tried Alvogen 5 mg percocet before the epic straight oxy. Once again big blue pills and THEY UPSET MY STOMACH.
