Camber Adderall Complaints (Page 7) (Top voted first)

Camber's new generic for Adderall IR 15mg is no good. Prior to it I got 10mg Adderall from CVS and it worked great! Just got a fill from Kroger since CVS was out of stock. The brand is from Camber and not only does it not work, it makes me feel unwell, sleepy and super irritated. It’s crazy how companies are able to differentiate in their generics like they do. This Camber brand just makes me want to go to sleep but I feel so unwell it’s hard to. I can’t focus at all on anything but how sick I feel. Don’t take this new stuff people and if you have what did you think?

I'm the only one who is dealing with this well I guess...I get 90 30mg ir and in SoCal Walgreens was the only game in town...I read the horror stories about it on here...but it was the only place, what else could I do?

I take the 3 at once, I find myself enjoying things in about 1 or 2 hours...standing up typing, aroused...it's not consistent, but it reminds me of the old Core Pharmas...

Hope you aren't letting these posts affect your benefits from the medication...don't think about it, and I promise you will be just fine. Once I had taken Zantac thinking it was Oxy 20 and I couldn't walk, my brain was convinced I had taken 40 mg and I literally was stumbling and slurring words...the placebo effect is so powerful...forget your presuppositions, forget yesterday and try again tomorrow.

I knew it wasn’t just me after taking Camber IR Adderall. Something felt off so I just felt I had to google. I’m finding a lot of people feel the same about camber. I wrote a complain to the FDA, I encourage others to do the same. Click on the link that was shared on this thread… It seems to be nobody’s problem. My doctor said he has no control over the manufacturer that my pharmacy gets their RX from. And my local Walgreens said they just get what they receive. They fill your prescription and everything else is out of their hands.

My hands and feet were beginning to swell, especially my feet and ankles. I got off the Cambers onto Teva and that all went away. The Cambers are no good and people should reject them if that’s what they are given. They are NOT Adderall. I’ve been taking them for months now and they are straight up no good.

I’m in the same hell as the rest of you. It seems like the longer I’ve taken it, the worse it’s affected me. When I went for a refill after the unpleasant first month of the Camber (also wasn’t told it was different by pharmacist), I requested a different brand because of the adverse everything caused by the Cambers.

Walgreens told me to pound sand, which doesn’t matter anymore because they no longer will fill Adderall after the lawsuit settled in August.
I was so relieved when I found out it would need to be filled at an independent pharmacy! They didn’t accept my insurance but I was fine with paying because I sincerely believed they would have something else. Got home, opened bottle, same Camber crap as Walgreens. Of course, it will be another month before I can beg them to not give me that.

Nauseous all day, every day, falling asleep, walking around in circles, etc. I haven’t even been able to finish unpacking and settling after moving 7 months ago! My boyfriend thinks I don’t care or aren’t interested in anything he says and I’m so distracted by everything.

And the vision thing. I haven’t been able to find an explanation for it, as my vision was 20/10 when last tested a year ago.

I’ve tried various dosages and changing the schedule. Nothing. English degree yet I’m having difficulty composing this.

This is not a recreational situation - I’m 50yo cursed with idiopathic hypersomnia and ADHD.This is real for most of us. People don’t search the internet for hours looking for opportunities to sing the praises of a prescription medication which is making serious people ill.

Exact same problem. I am so pissed off. I had to fill Camber brand Adderall 15 mg 4x a day because I normally take 30 mg 2x a day and this crap is all they had. This generic brand has made me unbelievably sick. 24/7 horrible headache, diarrhea, awful stomach pain, horrible anxiety, so restless so exhausted but can’t sleep. My insides are crawling. My chest hurts. My body hurts. I feel like getting a lawyer a suing them. This past month has been hell because of this medication. How, how, how did this medication get released to the public?! I didn’t know what was wrong with me. I had no clue it was this new brand of medication until reading the unbelievable amount of reviews on it from people having the exact same issues.

It wasn't likely the bad generic making you feel sleepy, depressed etc. It is more likely from dependence on Adderall.

Our brains try to counteract changes made to it by drugs to get back to what it thinks is the natural baseline. So it starts shutting down receptors to decrease the boosted signaling drugs provide. After a while many receptors will be absorbed and taken out of action. So when off the drug, you now have less receptors and no drug boosting the neurotransmitters so you would be worse than your normal premedicated base line. Then factor in how amphetamines even at prescribed doses can cause damage in other ways that add to tolerance.

In other words, you have become dependent on the drug just to be able to get back up to your natural baseline nevertheless getting to a therapeutic effect. Which, if you stop taking the drug, it is also know as withdrawal. Usually it is not too bad at low doses and for many at mid level doses. Some even don't have issue at higher doses. Me, ruined my life with accumulated side effects at and below prescribed doses. Not the most typical response, but not totally unusual. Hence all the research I did on it.

Not to be confused with addiction. Addiction includes dependence, but dependence doesn't have to include addiction. With addiction, that would additionally involve physical and/or mental cravings, often sickness like nausea, cold sweats, shivers, tremors, headache, etc. Cheap excipients can cause things like nausea, headache etc. as well as dependence does when you stop taking the drug, or take a crappy generic that doesn't work which has the same effect as withdrawal but may actually make it worse with the low quality excipients side effects.

Funny thing is, amphetamine based medications are actually less addictive than caffeine when caffeine is paired with sugar like in soda. And far less addictive than nicotine in cigarettes. I've talked to people who have exceeded 300mg of the good brand of generic Adderall a day and still only been dependent and not addicted. Unfortunately, people with very high levels of dependence like that can take over a year to renormalize their neurotransmitters while off it.

For me, if I take some Adderall it gets my brain going but I can feel a bit shaky and uncoordinated and somewhat hyperactive yet sleepy at the same time. So I have to take more to get to a functional dose. Taking none. I am just sleepy, grumpy, unfocused etc. as I have high dependence and working to get off it forever. Again, I am not the most typical case, most people are stable on their dose, but should be aware if they have issues with dosage escalation, high tolerance, high or accumulating side effects.

Makes NO sense, there are medications that such a difference could be toxic for the patient. To save you some time you won’t be able to find a source since it’s not accurate information.

ALL generics HAVE to have an identical amount of the key active ingredients; in this case it’s Amphetamine salts — the only things generic can differ is with INACTIVE known as the fillers, that’s why different pills might be same drug different flavor or colors.

Now using fillers can have a legitimate effect on the way the medication absorbed and metabolized, depending on the inactive ingredients which can vary generic to generic, for example a medication like tumbs would be something that would accelerate the Absorption of the amphetimes into the blood stream, such an effect can increase the perceived strength; but it will peak faster and consequently be not as effective — since the intended therapeutical purpose is being usurp

so the exact opposite is true as well,
I would say from having been on virtually every type of Adderall generic, some might work not as well, I thought this works decently but perhaps not as smooth as the Teva, as a result, I decided to take HALF of my dose, which allowed my body to adjust to the inactive ingredients.

My suggestion would be to take half 4-6 hours apart for the first few days

For those that really don’t like the inactive ingredients, tell your pharmacist or doctor to request a specific manufacturer and to dispense as written; this won’t allow any substitutes the RX.

Good luck to you all! And do not take 20% more since this isn’t true.

P.S. review the other meds you take, some might not mix well with the new generic.

But respectfully I don’t think you should not feel no effects unless this isn’t being used for therapeutic reasons. And if you truly don’t get something out of a 30 mg IR perhaps it’s time to look for a substitute medication:

I feel like people are f***ing trippin. I have tried so many different brands in the last month of ever trying it. Just picked up a script of 20 mg b.i.d. camber. Seems to be working the same as all the Teva ones & multiple kinds. It reminds me of a similar situation with the bars. I know people have it built up in their head that the green hulks/blue bars are better. I feel like it’s all placebo effect. A lot of it is how your mind frame is going into it. If you expect that it’s gonna be bad. Then I was like well you’re gonna convince yourself that it’s s*** because you’re not getting Teva. From what I found, they are in the top 15 companies and they’re growing 20% in large increments in supplying pharmacies. The only thing I have heard is that the Allergen brand is whack as f***! My homeboy said whatever I do don’t get that brand.

Just started on camber, been taking Adderall since 2002. I have taken every brand. It's in your mind. Absolutely about what you perceive to remember Adderall to be from past experiences. Cambers IR 30 offers a solid 7 hours of work, and I see that you guys love 4-6. I'm a 6' 225 pound man with a tolerance. I just know what to look for.
