Is there an angiotensin II receptor antagonist generic alternative to the drug listed above? What is it's name? I only take one BP pill. ## Hello, Bert! How are you? Yes, there are a couple you could ask your doctor about trying, such as Losartan and Candesartan. I've actually taken both and found them to work very well for me. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

I got heart problems and take all of this each day: lisinopril, corlanor, furosemide, carvedilol, alprazolam, nyquil, alkaseltzer plus, Bayer low dose aspirin, and I am on house arrest. I tested positive for methamphetamine on a swab saliva test and I have not had methamphetamine in 6 months now! Will any of the drugs make me fail?

I can no longer get this brand of Verapmil from any pharmacy located here in the Orlando Florida Area. My pharmacist told me the manufacturer no longer makes this brand. I am allergic to all the colored brand forms of this medication. Can anybody tell me where I can get the white pill from any manufacturer. Please it works good for me with very little side affects . ## Hello, Fitzhugh! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. However, your pharmacist should be able to order one in for you that is dye free. You are not the only person that has a problem with the coloring agents and this is something they usually have to do for customers on a fairly regular basis. There is a white one manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, in the 240mg ER dosage. It has the...

I've been using the lisinopril 10 mg by Sandoz for quite some time now and in February 2016, I refilled my prescription and surprise to see a round sd hoped pill instead of the Oval that I used to get so I took it back to the pharmacy and the assured me that the pill was by Sandoz and that they changed the shape from oval to round. ## Hi Dio, Thanks for the heads up on the pill change. It's unfortunate that pharmacies have to make this a surprise for us at every refill. I was just looking up some information on these round lisinopril tablets by Sandoz and am not sure if I found the correct imprint, but I believe their 10mg is marked with "E 101" and carries the following National Drug Code: 00185-0101. Interesting that they would choose to change pill shapes. And I doubt...

I am using Asomex 5mg since last two months for blood pressure. Ever since i started using it i am experiencing severe itching on whole body. My doctor has said that might be due to some other reason. I sm clueless. Please tell me what might be the reason. Regards ## whats the side effects of asomex 5 ## Sometimes, these medications can cause itching due to how the affect your circulation to lower blood pressure or improve cardiac function. After 2 months, it likely isn't going to go away and you may need to consult your doctor about trying a different medication. The U.S. FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

I get o of breath hurt all over gained weight can't think. But still will not listen to me. I was told I don't have a right to tell her anything.i went to a hart doctor who said this was a very bad medication for me in every way... now I have to have a heart echo. said he will take me off cold turkey after the echo test. my problem is I have such reactions to most medication after taking for a while with rashes and not being able to breath. this scares me to death. ## Hello, Lynn! I have received an e-mail from Teva UK, who produce verapamil capsules under the Univer name, that production has been interupted. They hope to resume in the fourth quarter of 2016. As I need two 180mg slow release tablets per day I queried my GP for a replacement. I have started on Vera-Til SR 120mg tablets from Tillomed. As I need 180mg I take one and a half tabs. Not so convenient but so far no side effects. ## It is risky to be cutting those tablets, since they are time released, it could cause you to get too much of the medication, at once, which may result in overdose. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

just wondered it it is safe to still go to the pub ## Hello, Jim! How are you? It could worsen the side effects, as reported by the U.S. FDA, so you may experience more nausea, dizziness and headaches than usual. However, if your doctor approves of your imbibing, please make sure you will not be driving or operating any dangerous machinery. Is there anything else I can help with?

When will Benicar be offered in a generic/less expensive form? ## Hello, Laurie! How are you? It will most likely be several years, yet. However, there are other medications in this same drug class that are available as generics, such as Losartan and Candesartan, which you could ask your doctor about switching to, if Benicar is too expensive. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dry cough and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Both alternatives r not usable as cause major blood pressure spikes; been advised by both pharmacist and cardiologist to never try alternative to Benicar as there is no true substitute.

Please help me. I have an extremely itchy inner left thigh. What can I take? It's only on my left side up to the left side of my (V). I have been scratching and it's been bruising and painful. ## Hello, Babygal! How are you? Has anything changed? As detailed by the NIH, with the bruising involved, you may be having some type of circulation problem, perhaps a clot. It would best to have it checked out by your doctor to be safe. It's difficult to guess from just the limited information in your post. Are you on any medications? I get this, occasionally, due to my heart and blood pressure medications.

how long after discontinuing losareten can i expect my libido to return? i am a 59 year old woman ## Hello, Sheryl! How are you? It could take a couple weeks for things to return to normal. What medication have you switched to? Most blood pressure and cardiac medications can cause loss of libido, as reported by the FDA, so it's really just a matter of trial an error to find one that works for you, without causing unwanted side effects. They may also cause nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Your age may also be having an effect on your libido. Are you post menopausal?
