Lisinopril Sandoz

I've been using the lisinopril 10 mg by Sandoz for quite some time now and in February 2016, I refilled my prescription and surprise to see a round sd hoped pill instead of the Oval that I used to get so I took it back to the pharmacy and the assured me that the pill was by Sandoz and that they changed the shape from oval to round.

Thanks for the heads up on the pill change. It's unfortunate that pharmacies have to make this a surprise for us at every refill. I was just looking up some information on these round lisinopril tablets by Sandoz and am not sure if I found the correct imprint, but I believe their 10mg is marked with "E 101" and carries the following National Drug Code: 00185-0101.

Interesting that they would choose to change pill shapes. And I doubt it's because one looks prettier. I'd question if they may be cutting back on certain ingredients... Have you had a chance to try it yet and make comparisons with the older version?
