I take this for blood pressure. Now if I out in the sun, even just sun bathing and not moving much I get so light headed I can't see. Can this be the med.? Thanks ## I should add that when this happens my BP drops, maybe from 135/78 to 100/60 and heart rate goes up to maybe 120. ## Hello, Ralph! How are you? Only your doctor can say for sure, but it is most likely due to the drop in your blood pressure, rather than the medication. When out in the sun and warm, or hot, it can cause your blood pressure to drop even lower than usual, being overheated does that to many people. Typical side effects of this medication may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. There is also a chance that it could be due to dehydration, if you aren't taking i...

I take 100mgs of losartin and at night take 100mgs of Atenolol I took a double dose of losartin today, is that dangerous. I meant to take one losartin and one Paxil, which are similar shapes ## Hello, Mary! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? Usually a mistake like this once isn't a big deal, but it could result in your blood pressure dropping too low, so as reported by the FDA, you may experience more nausea, dizziness, headache and drowsiness than usual. But, you should also inform your doctor, to be sure, there might be issues they are aware of that others are not.

What is the difference between the white pill and the blue pill with A9? Both are marked Amlodipine tab 5 MG? ## Hello, Maud! How are you? They are just manufactured by different companies, the one with the IG 238 marking is made by InvaGen Pharmaceuticals and the one with the M A9 marking is made by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Since this is a generic medication, it is manufactured by several different companies, it creates market competition to help keep the prices lower. By mistake I took a 5mg tab of Lisinopril prescribed for my husband. How will this affect me? Will it make me dizzy--will it be unsafe to drive? ## It may may you a bit dizzy, but if it was just one tablet in that low of a dosage, it shouldn't last very long and the effects should be minimal, as long as you aren't allergic to it. That's not enough for it to really have an effect on your blood pressure, or cardiac function, since it takes regular dosing for several weeks to have its full effect. Learn more Lisinopril details here. Are you feeling okay, now? If you do experience anything weird, you should just contact your doctor, but it's doubtful that you will. ## My daughter took dads 40mg of lisinopril accidentally thinking it was allergy meds. my Dr checked my BP today in his office he did a 6 test cycle , it was remarkably good for once @ 120/65 BUT I noticed he checked with cuff on my right upper arm, When I test it is much higher BUT I use my left arm , So my DR re tested with cuff on Left arm, results were much high at 160/80 range . the question is is this OK? and why is there such a variation,Should I follow up with more investigation or just forget it ? ## Hello, Rob! How are you? Actually, that big of a difference in readings could be a sign of other cardiac problems, so you should consult a cardiologist. It is normal to have some fluctuations, but it shouldn't be that much, according to the NIH. Are you on any medications to treat it? ## i am not on a cardiac med, unless you consider, Crestor for cholesterol cont...

Ive been using Azor for about 2 years now at first I used to take daily dosages and realised its highly addictive and stopped. The withdrawal effects were terrible made me feel even more anxious and sick. However Im still taking Azor but only when I feel uneasy or when I get a sudden panic or anxiety attack it really does help. On average I take it twice in a month only when Im extremely anxious at other times I try to calm myself down. Azor is really the best anxiety relieving pill for me provided the usage of it is minimal but offcourse not everyones anxiety levels are the same!

Is there a good BP medicine that does not cause persistent cough? My husband is on Candesarten now and was on another drug of same class and has the cough again. He is 78, type two diabetic and due to past kidney stones has "compromised" kidneys but no kidney disease. Cannot tolerate cholesterol drugs and cholesterol stays at 240. What do you suggest we ask the doctor to prescribe for BP? ## Hello, Ila! How is your husband doing? I tend to be very sensitive to medications, as well and many of them made me miserable, until my cardiologist researched which ones are known to cause the least amount of side effects, as compared to most others and the one that worked wonders for me, without making me miserable was Labetalol. Once the Mediicine is described for blood pressure , Is it necessary to continue for life time if the pressure is all right and healthy life style is maintain and with regular check up . ## Hello, Mukul! How are you? What are you blood pressure readings? Some people do manage to come off of the medication, but it must be done very carefully to prevent rebounds and should only be done, once it is certain that your diet and exercise are really helping. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Whatever you do don't stop taking your blood pressure meds unless your doctor orders it. High bp is the silent killer. You never want to discontinue it without doctors orders, especially if you are dieting, exercising and taking diet pills.
