What if my daughter 23 yrs old took 2 -100 MG Losartan tablets thinking it was Tylenol? ## Hello, Donna! How is she doing? Did she suffer any adverse effects? It may cause some nausea, dizziness, headaches, and drowsiness, according to the FDA, but generally, in a healthy person, they don't cause severe issues... however, only a doctor can say for sure. How did this mix-up occur?

Have been on bisoprolol for 15 years, now keep feeling nauseous, could this be related ## Hello, Vib! How are you? It is possible, the FDA does list it as being a side effect, along with dizziness, headache, increase urination, and hypotension. Has anything else changed, recently, such as the dosage? Adding another medication? Changing your diet, or activity levels?

How are you? Why did your doctor change it? Was your blood pressure still elevated? Olmat-H contains Olemsartan and Hydrochlorothiazide to try to help lower your blood pressure more. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and dehydration.

I have taken verapamil hydrochloride 180/240 for the past 12 months. I had septacemia, infected endocarditis & leaking valve. Within six months bone pain became quite severe & shakes which did not allow holding a cup of tea etc. So I went onto Diltiazem! Everything seems OK but this medication does not seem to reduce blood pressure. In fact initially when I take it every morning it seems to take some time to kick in & I find this quite distressing. Any comments? ## It is normal for any medication to take awhile to start to work, after taking it, but it isn't lowering your blood pressure, it may not be the right medication for you. I'm really scared. I have fibromyalgia and got really mixed up tonight and took the wrong pills. I can't get to the hospital at all and when I phoned our dr.'s helpline all they said is go to the hospital. I'm so so scared. ## Hello, Carrie! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? Why are you taking Ramipril? Taken cozar by mistake for ten days. No b/p problems. Only take Ativan for sleep. Have been sob and lower back pain, HA, increased heart rate. Called pharmacy and they said just stop it.? How long before symptoms go away? Can I have problems from this? ## There really shouldn't be any long-term issues, though it's impossible to say for sure, since everyone is different. Thus, it is always best to inform your doctor, just in case. How did you end up taking the wrong medication for 10 days? The main worry here, as reported by the FDA, would actually be the risk of seizures that can occur from abruptly stopping the Ativan. I'm very glad you didn't experience such an issue.

Still had vision problems and dizzy. 5 days ago reduced it to 12/12mg. Twice a day. Still have blurry vision and dizzyjudi ## Hello, Judi! How are you? Wow! That's horrible! Has there been any change? While those can be side effects of this medication, they usually go away after about 4 to 5 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication, according to the FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, headache, and hypotension. However, given the length of time you've been dealing with this, I think it's time to try a different medication and I'm not sure why your doctor hasn't already suggested that you do so. Are you wor...

I noticed tonight that it appears I have taken an extra dose of my bisoprolol but I'm not sure if it was today or not I take 2.5 MG per day and am 34 years old. I'm wondering if I should be worried about this or not! ## Hello, Becky! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? Taking an extra dose once isn't usually a huge concern, especially at such a low dose, though it may cause more side effects than usual, which the U.S. FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and hypotension. However, it is always best to double check with your doctor, emergency services, or poison control, to be safe.

Why do you want to decrease your dose? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

Both of these medications are listed by the NIH as possibly causing weight gain. My wife is taking it she is detoxing off oxy's and her psychiatrist prescribed her clonidine she's stage 1 bipolar it seems to help with her mood but it makes her so drowzy and we have a baby this makes her very depressed. Will the drowsiness go away and if so how long does it take? ## Hello, Rick! How is your wife doing? Has there been any change? The drowsiness might actually be due to a double whammy, withdrawal effects from stopping the Oxycodone, and side effects from starting the Clonidine, and yes, things should eventually improve, as her body adjusts. She may also experience headache, dizziness, and diarrhea, according to the FDA. ## Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't answer the time frame part of your question, it can vary from person to person, but on average, most people...

How are you? What condition were you taking this medication to treat? If it was for high blood pressure, or some cardiac conditions, it may not be safe for you to try to come off of it. In many such cases, there is no cure, only control and management. Why do you wish to stop taking them, are they causing you some problem? The U.S. FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

Are the TEVA and Amneal benazepril the same? Do they have the same ingredients? ## Hello, Betty! How are you? The active ingredient is the same. When a medication is available for generic production, it is normal for it to be manufactured by several different companies, this was done to help bring generics to market faster, to create competition and try to keep prices down. Whichever one a pharmacy carries, at any given time, may vary, depending on who was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their supply. The inactive ingredients may be different, though. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Did you experience any adverse effects? Generally, once extra dose of each shouldn't be a problem, but may cause you to experience more side effects than usual, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation. But, when in doubt, it is always best to check with your doctor, or your local poison control.

Possible overdose of Losartin 50 mg. I took 50mg at 7:00 AM and another dose at 10:30PM. What side effects might I have? ## Hello, Josie! How are you? Did you experience any problems, or issues? Doing it just once isn't likely to result in any severe problems, but it could result in your blood pressure going too low, according to the FDA, so you may experience more nausea, dizziness, and drowsiness, than usual. If your symptoms become severe, you should seek immediate medical attention. ## Thankfully there were no side effects. I believe I was just very lucky on this one. My blood pressure stayed in a normal range. Thanks for your reply!

Just got a refill of metoprolol er succinate 50mg which used to have Watson listed as the manufacturer but now says Actavis. The pills look exactly the same and the imprint is the same with an 831 number but they stink like paint. Never had this before. The pharmacist checked the original container and that stinks too. Anyone else notice this? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? Most pills do have an odor, but many manufacturers use a coating on them to prevent patients from smelling it. Thus, I have to assume that when Actavis bought out many of Watson's products, they stopped coating them. It is, however, nothing to worry about, even though I know it may be annoying. I've been on Clonidine for about 6 months .2mg three times a day. I asked my Doctor if he can change my medication. He gave my Hydralize 50mg to help me when off it and told me to reduce the dose of Clonidine from .2mg to .1mg. Is this a good plan? ## Hello, Rami! How are you? For the best results, it is always a good idea to follow your doctor's instructions and advice. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Hydralazine as possibly including dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and sedation. Have you made the change, yet?
