I am 27 years old. Last year I had taken cortiflam B and D and banocide forte for one month, moteir fx LCTZ 30 and ventidox to stop the seasonal cold during the months of November, December, and January. Then I got my blood pressure checked and it was about (140-42)/(85-90). My Dr suggested I take Amlokind AT every day after breakfast. Should I take it? Are there any serious side effects? ## You should take it, if your doctor has instructed you to do so, there are far more risks associated with high blood pressure, than there are to taking the medication, such as congestive heart failure, heart attack, or stroke, if you let your blood pressure remain high. My Sugar Level is 198 on fasting and knee joints are paining too much even Blood Pressures are 90/140.all fingers getting tired ## Are you on any medications to treat these conditions? Do you watch you diet to avoid sugar, salt and fatty foods, as much as possible? According to the NIH, they can all contribute to such medication conditions. Has your doctor diagnosed you as having high blood pressure and/or being diabetic?

I just started taking 75mg of irbesartan..I am fine when I wake up but when I have a black cup of coffee within 30 minutes my lips start swelling...is this common and should I switch medications ## Hello, Graham! Have been taking lotrel 5/20 for high blood pressure for some years now. My pharmacist said i could save a lot of money by switching to amlodipine 5mg and benazepril 20 mg. My pharmacist changed my generic Ramipril manufacturer and told me it was Watson. He claimed it was the "best" and had a great reputation. I found 2 other listings, never Watson. Is this just the same old line when it's really the pharmacy's bottom line? ## There's really no telling who the manufacturer is unless you're able to provide a pill imprint and description to look up. I went to the doctor with a blood pressure reading of 161/102 so she put me on lisinopril-hctz 10mg. My BP dropped within 30 minutes to 83/60 after just 1 dose. It has been 3 days now and my BP hovers between 83/60 and 111/63. I'm now a bit concerned because my BP is usually 134/90-140/95 (sometimes higher) and this just seems a bit low. I have cfs since 1987 and fibro since 1994 (adrenal fatigue is the true illness). Recently I notice I have low blood volume, my pulse is always rapid, I get maybe 2-3 hours of sleep in 24 hours, high blood pressure, as well as other symptoms. I read clonidine will specifically help with all these symptoms. I just started a .1 once a day rx. I am not sure whether the allergy I have could be caused by the intake of Ziak and/or Zanidip. I continually have a sore mouth something similar to cold sores, I also tend to get a sore throat, twice I have had my tongue swell during the night which was very stressful and i have itchiness on my body in patches even my scalp itches which my GP has informed me is an allergy. I've been on prexum plus for about a month and a half 3 weeks ago I developed a throat infection if been on antibiotics but my throat is still scratchy and sore at times I have not taken the prexum for a day now and seems like throat is getting better but I don't want to stop all together till I see the doc again is it possible it is the plexum causing the throat iretation. ## Hello, Scotty! Hello I have been taking a blue oval lisnopril 10-12.5 hctz once day. Can I cut this dose in half as I feel that dose is to high for me. There is no score line but have a pill cutter.. ## Ask your Doctor he/she may have something better in mind for you. Was prescribed clonidine for hot flashes and night sweats. Has been very effective in stopping night sweats but instead of lowering my blood pressure my blood pressure has gone through the roof. Yesterday and today I have been getting blood pressure readings of like187/90 and 179/80. I do have high blood pressure but take meds for this and in usually about 140/80. I take Losartan for high blood pressure. I was also on HRT Femeston. I have stopped taking HRT and now take Dong Quai and Black Kohosh. These are suiting me but as Dong Quai will help with high blood pressure can I stop taking Losartan? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you?
