Metoprolol succinate 25mg made by Mtg. Lannett Company - What fillers are used? I've been having stomach pains and can take up to 6 daily. ## What are the markings on the tablets in question? Can you please post back with this information? The reason I am asking is because sometimes the manufacturer listed on a bottle from your pharmacy is just a licensed distributor, not the actual manufacturer, so I need more information to find the correct details for you. The FDA does warn that Metoprolol may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. What are you taking it to treat? It is very unusual for this medication to be prescribed for anyone to take up to 6 daily, since it is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain ...

Can not be found at any chemist in Bloemfontein. Are there any available meds that will do the same work? ## The drug maker Aspen say that it will only be available again from the end of March, 2015. They gave no reason for the shortage, but a pharmacist told me that it has to do with the availability of the Propranalol molecules. You can try Inderal. It is more expensive, but it is the original commercial drug that Pur-Bloka is based on. It didn't work for me though. ## Thanx for reply. Inderal and indoblock is also not avalable in Bloemfontein. My dr prescribed another pill that will temporary help me and it helped accept for migrain that knocked me over on sunday, propably because my heart felt like drums. The name is bisoprolol. ## Thanks, I will give that a shot! ## Wow, a minu...

My mother's pills fell out of their bottle. I found one in there that says h146. I can't identify so far. Her bottle says Lisinopril. ## Hello, Jan! How are you? Yes, there is a tablet with this marking that is manufactured by Solco Healthcare and they list it as containing 10mgs of Lisinopril, which is used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with? ## So, does Lisinopril marked with H146 contain hydrochlorothiazide as well? Is it a diuretic that would make you urinate more frequently?

Has Lisinopril made anyone hungrier or made you gain weight? I am also getting terrible cramps in my legs. I started taking Potassium on my own to stop this pain. Any advice? ## Hello, Madeline! How are you doing? Yes, those can be side effects of this medication, according to FDA warnings, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Have you informed your medical provider of these issues? There are others you can try, which may not cause you the same problematic side effects. ## Lisinopril caused leg cramps and a cough. I got off of it after several months. ## Madeline, I've been on a 5 mg dose of Lisinopril for about 3 months. Eight years back, while commuting to my workplace (40 km's away) by a train, I suddenly got fatigued and caught a blackout while getting up from my seat. A friend of mine immediately rushed me to a nearby Doctor, who after checking my BP (180/120) prescribed Atenolol and some sedatives to me He said that I have to take Atenolol for whole life, and I am following the same. Will somebody guide me, whether I am doing the right thing or must I take a second opinion now after getting checked my heart's functioning. I don't have any trouble with my heart but if anyday due to oversight I forget to take the medicine, I feel uneasiness in my head. I feel I have become addictive to this drug. Thank you ## I have elevated blood pressure and the only way to get it down is the three drugs I have listed. Since I started taking this I have been experiencing really bad foot cramps. Off and on during the day and some nights life tonight its really bad and causing me to lose sleep. Dr told me to make sure to eat leafy greens which I do daily and also bananas for potassium but they won't stop. Any suggestions? ## Hello, April! How are you? Are you also being careful to take in enough fluid each day? This medication is classified by the FDA as a diuretic, so it works be removing fluid from the body. You may be experiencing the cramping due to dehydration. That's always an early warning for me that I'm getting dehydrated, which I have a bad habit of doing. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension and increased urination. ## I too am having le...

Are you on any other medications? It is normal for ones blood pressure and heart rate to vary, depending on their activity levels, what they've eaten, and other factors, according to NIH studies. But only your doctor can determine what is right for you, and whether or not your medications may need to be adjusted. The FDA lists the typical side effects as usually including dizziness, increased urination, hypotensi...

I've been taking Metoprolol Tartrate 50 Mg once a day for a few years now. A few months ago my doctor increased my Metoprolol Tartrate 50 Mg to twice a day. I've been experiencing EXTREME EXHAUSTION and I feel really heavily drugged especially when I'm trying to wake up in the morning. Does anyone else experience EXTREME EXHAUSTION due to taking Metoprolol Tartrate. When I first started taking the medication I felt sluggish/tired however, I thought it was due to Menopause -- now when I was instructed to double the medication I tend to think its the Metoprolol Tartrate. I have high blood pressure and also angina so I have to be on a beta blocker. Anyone else have felt the way I feel? Thanks very much for any feedback. My Losartan 50mg white round pill has an odor when opened. It also states on the bottle from Walmart, "issued MAR 2015". Is this good? ## Hello, Palette! How are you? If it isn't coated, Losartan always has an odd odor, I've taken it from several different manufacturers over the years and I've experienced this, as well, I can also tell you that tasting it is even worse!!! I've accidentally had it happen, before, and it was not pleasant! Pills generally have an expiration date of one year from when you receive them from your pharmacy, if they are in a normal pharmacy bottle, but the expiration date can be as long as 4 to 5 years, if they are still in the original factory sealed container. The FDA does warn that they may lose efficacy, once expired, so they may not...

Is it safe for a 72 yr. old to take 4 different high blood medications? It seems scary... ## Multiple medications are often prescribed to help lower high blood pressure as safely and as fast as possible, or to help control certain cardiac conditions. How are they working for them? If they are experiencing issues, such as low pressure/low heart rate, as well as other side effects that the FDA lists, such as dizziness, severe drowsiness, headache, dehydration and fainting? ## Sorry, I meant to add that if they are experiencing such issues, they may need dosage adjustments, or to stop certain medications. ## I take amlodipine 10 mg, losartan 50 mg, acylovir 400 mg, bystolic 5 mg...among other meds. Isn't that too much high blood pressure medication?

I was taking Natrilex Sr 1.5 earlier. Now with the BP being higher than 80 (between 90 and 95) for many evenings, I consulted a doctor who advised me to take Telma 40 with Natrilex. However, I have experienced certain dizziness after taking this medicine. Should I continue or take only Natrilex? I have no diabetes or lipid problems. ## The dizziness could be caused by either of the medications or by the combination of taking them both. this site is not medical professionals to advise you on your treatment regimen. Have you spoken to your doctor about these bouts of dizziness to see what they advise? The dizziness could also be cause by the blood pressure fluctuating itself. ## I changed from Telma H to Telma 40mg plain on the advice of my doctor as my diastolic BP was dropping unusually...
