Is the best time to take this medicine in the morning or night? ## Has your doctor made any specific recommendation? Metoprolol is a beta blocker, used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions and, in most cases, this type of medication is taken in the morning, because most people are far more active during the day, so that is the time their blood pressure can be elevated. However, it can cause some drowsiness and dizziness, in some people, as a side effect, and in those instances, it may be necessary for someone to take it at night. ## I am taking Lisinopril @20mg and also i am taking Metoprolol tart 25mg tab myl, my question is why do i take two High bloodpressure pills? Can i stop taking the Metoprolol Tablet? i think it is the culperet that makes me dizzy aswell, I have n...

There are many things that can affect your blood pressure and it will always fluctuate throughout the day, depending on what you're doing. I was just informed that my family member just took 7 Clonidines. Is this an overdose? Please answer as soon as possible. ## I sincerely hope that this person's family member suffered no ill effects. When it comes to posts like this, it really can't be stressed enough that if you think the life or health of someone is in danger, please contact your nearest emergency treatment facility or take them in to one! While there are always people on sites, such as this one, that will help if they can, there is nothing I can do to help you save a life, if that's what it comes down to. I cannot administer CPR or any type of life-saving measure over the Internet. I wish we could, but it just isn't possible. And with this post, the dosage wasn't included, so there's no way an...

I found this pill laying around my house. It is green and has N010 imprinted on one side and is scored on the other. ## I believe that Betty is correct - a round green pill with imprint N010 corresponds with Propranolol 40 mg (NDC 16714-023). This drug is classified as a Beta Blocker. Medline Plus states "Propranolol is used to treat high blood pressure, irregular heart rhythms, pheochromocytoma (tumor on a small gland near the kidneys), certain types of tremor, and hypertrophic subaortic stenosis (a heart muscle disease). It is also used to prevent angina (chest pain), migraine headaches, and to improve survival after a heart attack. Propranolol is in a class of medications called beta blockers. My pharmacy refilled my Teva Metoprolol Tartrate 50 mg with Metoprolol manufactured by Aurobindo. I've taken Teva Met Tart for 4 years with great results and no side effects. After taking 50mg Aurobindo Metoprolol Tart, the side effects were immediate. The Aurobindo Metoprolol 50 mg tab did not bring down my BP and it kept climbing. In the meantime my lips and upper face went numb, heart beat felt erratic, cold, shortness of breath, burning sternum, shakiness, nausea and headache. . . etc. No, this wasn't a heart attack. I'm looking for a replacement for the Teva as I understand they merged with Watson. Does anyone have any information on if Teva/Watson is producing Metoprolol Tartrate 50mg tablets under another Mfg. name. ## Just looked this up. I've been having issues ...

What is a small white round tablet with GG 269 on it? ## I believe the original imprint posted here is incorrect. There are a couple of possible tablets which are likely what is being asking about. The first one is a round white tablet with GG 296 on it. That is Loratadine 10 mg (NDC 0781-5077). It's an antihistamine "used to temporarily relieve the symptoms of hay fever (allergy to pollen, dust, or other substances in the air) and other allergies." [1] Inactive ingredients: - Lactose Monohydrate - Magnesium Stearate - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Sodium Starch Glycolate Type a Potato And the second one is a round white tablet with imprint GG 264. This is Atenolol 100 mg (NDC 0781-1507), which is a medication "used alone or in combination with other medications to trea...

i have been on 12.5mg of ramipril each day for the past 2 and half years. We have now got a new doctor in our practice and he says that it is a too high dosage for me and now has put me on 10mg of ramipril and 5mg of amlodipine. Could the high dosage of rampipril caused anything to me, i have my blood pressure checked every three months and bloods done every six months or can it do anything to me in the future. ## That's actually not a really high dosage, it can go up to 20mgs a day for hypertension. Why did he feel it was too high of a dose, were your blood pressure readings low, while you were taking it? Next question, why is it only being checked every 3 months? Are you checking it yourself, at home? ## I have not had a bowel movement in almost 4 months. Have had every test known...

My fiance has pills in a prescription bottle that are not the pills that belong in them. I am wondering if I should be concerned. Since they are in a different bottle than what they came in. I know it's shady it me to look, but before I ask him, I wanted to look first. They are long narrow, white, oblong pill. When cut in half it's light brown that turns darker when wet. Smells herbal or tea like. He complains of back and nerve pain, but hasn't seen the Dr. He takes blood pressure pills. That's the bottle they are in. An old blood pressure pills script bottle. About 20mm long. No marking. Smooth on outside. White. Inside is brown. Couple it be pain pills from Mexico? Marijuana pills? Weight loss? Impotence? ## Hello Curious, According to the [1] FDA imprint regulations t...

This drug Metoprolo er tab suc 25mg is used for high blood pressure and they say it will treat cardiac conditions. What I want to know is what cardiac condition does it treat? Is there any medications I can take for my heart fluctions? Leo ## What do you mean by heart fluctuations? Do you mean an increased heart rate? Or are you referring to palpitations where you seem to be skipping beats occasionally? Metoprolol can improve cardiac function and is used to treat both of the issues I asked about. Is the dosage strength equivalent? What if any difference are there between the two besides price? ## The active ingredient in Losartan is Losartan potassium. This drug is manufactured by Teva Pharms. The active ingredient in Benicar is Olmesartan medoxomil. This drug is manufactured by Daiichi Sankyo. From what I could gather, both drugs are classified as an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, used to treat high blood pressure. That said, the only differences I could find were between the chemical structures of the drug itself, as well as any other inactive ingredients that the different manufacturers decide to put into the pill. Both of these factors however can influence how the the drug absorbs into your system and therefore determine how effective one is over the other, which can v...

I need to know what pills these are called? They are for panic attacks and are very small white and round. I'm not sure of the # on them. It could be 700n or 200n or noon. Can you please help me? ## Hello Theresa, I'm going to do my best to help you. Going based off of the imprint guesses in addition to the condition of it being a panic attack medication the closest I was able to find was a Metoprolol succinate extended-release which has the imprint of 100 N. According to the National Institute of Health it is small, white and round. Metoprolol is used in the treatment of atrial fibrillation; high blood pressure; supraventricular tachycardia; angina; heart attack. The NIH also reports cases in which Metoprolol has been used to treat anxiety and panic attacks. Unfortunately witho...

is the medicine amlodipine besylate medicine time released. ## Hi Barbara, Usually if a medication is time-released it will have one of the following abbreviations at the end of the drug name: XL, ER, SR, or perhaps some other similar notation. From my experience, if a label doesn't actually specify that it's time released in such a way, then it would probably be safe to assume that it's not. However, if you happen to know what the imprint/markings are on your tablet, I'd be happy to verify this for you. I hope this helps! ## The markings on his pill are IG on one side and 239 on the other. My 50 lb dog ate Lisinopril tablet. Will it hurt her? ## I'm sorry, but I don't know what most human medications will do to animals. Many human medications are also used in dogs and since Lisinopril is used to help lower blood pressure, it could have an effect on hers and may make her ill. Have you contacted a vet? You should definitely watch for signs of problems, such as lethargy and vomiting. ## My dog about 80 pounds got my bottle of lisinopr/hydrochloride hiazide tab 20-25mg. Not sure how many he ate but by counting I think it was about 3. ## Useless site...Severe lack of info...should not waste time in emergent situation to get any help with this particular problem.
