started on benicar 20 mg 3 mos ago...made me feel worse and in a fog... I have been taking 50 mg twice a day of metoprolol tartrate since May. Doc wants to double the dose all at once...200 mg a day because BP was elevated a little (from a panic attack, I believe). So the 50 mg scored pills were a pink pill. The 100 mg pills are blue scored pills. If I am too afraid to double the dose all at once, is cutting the scored 100 mg tablet the same as two 50 mg tablets? I do have panic/anxiety disorder and med phobia..thats why I am too afraid to double the dose all at once, especially because of the side effects I had when I started the 50 mg tablets...i.e., anxiety, nervouness, dizziness. Dear Sir I have been taking the above medication: Concor and Lamictin over a long period and Spiractin for about one year. I have a constant cough, non-productive at most times, joint pains, sleepiness, vision distortion sometimes, loss of balance and excessive weight gain. I have minor problems with itchiness of my skin and eyes. No treatment has been successful for the constant cough which is interfering with my lifestyle.
