After bypass surgery on July 2009, I have been taking SELOKEN XL 25 alongwith other medicines. .Now Doctor has prescribed BETALOC 25.instead of SELOKEN. My q.. is whether they are of same purpose? ## They are the same medication, they both contain the active ingredient Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker that's used to treat hypertension and cardiac conditions, such as yours. I have been taking prolomet XL 50 for a long time. Recently I got a supply of prolomet AM 50. Are these drugs interchangeable and can I switch from one to the other? My wife was taking Repace 25mg od. She is also suffering from chronic kidney desease (CKD). The doctor has now replaced Repace 25mg. with Irovel 75 mg. OD. i m 32 years old and i m taking amlopress At from last 1 year, i think there is no change, still i m feeling same dizzyness, heavy head,welling in legs, red eyes and balacing problem while standing. i consult many doctor and i have been that you have high BP. i undergone many medicine but none of the tablet effect me, last i took amlopress At before it was good for 1-2 month and now agin its same or you can say my sondition is getting worst. plz advice ## Are you also watching your diet, such as cutting down on fat and sodium and eating more produce and fiber? started on benicar 20 mg 3 mos ago...made me feel worse and in a fog... Doc lowered it to 10 mg..got me down into the 120's/65's which is great ! need to know all possible side effects..including not being able to get a full nites sleep or even 1/2 of one ..2/3's of the time since switching to 10 mg..feeling of anxiety as soon as I start to fall asleep..What meds are safe to take for this occasional anxiety feeling while on benicar ? ## You can learnBenicar side effect information here. I m using narilix sr 1 tab & 1/2 tab dilzem 60 daily morning after breakfast which causes weakness, I m 62 male. Also using centrum 50plus btwn dinner daily. I have been taking 50 mg twice a day of metoprolol tartrate since May. Doc wants to double the dose all at once...200 mg a day because BP was elevated a little (from a panic attack, I believe). So the 50 mg scored pills were a pink pill. The 100 mg pills are blue scored pills. If I am too afraid to double the dose all at once, is cutting the scored 100 mg tablet the same as two 50 mg tablets? I do have panic/anxiety disorder and med phobia..thats why I am too afraid to double the dose all at once, especially because of the side effects I had when I started the 50 mg tablets...i.e., anxiety, nervouness, dizziness. Dear Sir I have been taking the above medication: Concor and Lamictin over a long period and Spiractin for about one year. I have a constant cough, non-productive at most times, joint pains, sleepiness, vision distortion sometimes, loss of balance and excessive weight gain. I have minor problems with itchiness of my skin and eyes. No treatment has been successful for the constant cough which is interfering with my lifestyle. I would sincerely appreciate your help as I have visited my Doctor several times and now will need a bronchoscopy which I want to avoid if possible.
