ANY IDEA WHY? ## Hi Sherri - Upset stomach / nausea is listed as a possible side effect of this medication. [1] What I would suggest is letting his prescribing physican know, as they may decide to switch your husband's dose or medication. Hope this helps! small round white Mylan 786 ## doctor prescribed mylan 786 what is it and what is it for ## small white pill scored on one side and Mylan 7 ## I need to identify a pill that is round white and has Mylan 786 on the scored side. ## Hello, Is it possible that the imprint might be MYLAN 186? If so, the pill is Clonidine hydrochloride (0.2 mgs). It has been prescribed historically as an antihypertensive drug, but has found new uses, including treatment of some types of neuropathic pain, opioid detoxification, sleep hyperhidrosis, anaesthetic use, and off-label, to counter the side effects of stimulant medications such as methylphenidate or amphetamine. It is becoming a more accepted treatment for insomnia, as well as for relief of menopausal symptoms. Clonidine is increasingly used in conjun...

I found a very small oblong pill in my clonazepem. I am trying to identify it. The imprint is so small I can barely read it, but it looks like 51 on one side, and IV on the other. It is not scored. ## Hello, The closest match I can find based on the description provided is Carvedilol (3.125 mg); which is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, angina, atrial fibrillation, and left ventricular dysfunction. It is a small white oblong pill with the imprint 51 on one side and TV on the other. The "T" could very well be mistaken for an I. Learn More: Carvedilol Details I hope this helps!

is metoprol tar the same drug as metoprolol tar ? ## From what I could gather, Metoprol is just another brand name for Metoprolol; as there are no other drugs by which it might be referred to as. At first I thought maybe it could be an abbreviation or misspelling. But in Canada, I've also seen it being referred to as "Novo-Metoprol". The doctor prescribed Hexarone for me but the opthalmologist eventually found a residue deposit as a result of the meds on my corneas. The specialist changed the meds to Bisohexal, later on the new Med Aid scheme changed it to Adco-Bisocor. The film on my corneas are getting worse. I don't know whether it is the active ingredient BISOPROLOL - but I need help urgently, my sight is getting 'hazier'. I am 63 years old and had an eye stroke 2 years ago. I cannot find anything on the Internet that addresses this problem of residue on the corneas. ## What are the side effects of Bisocor? ## Patricia, are they certain it's from the medication? blanco L7 ## After this long of a time period, I am unable to find a listing for a tablet with this marking, which may also be affect by the fact that it gives the impression of being a foreign tablet. What I do know, however, is that this is frequently misunderstood name for the medication Carvedilol, which is an alpha/beta block that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. By it's very mechanism of action, it may cause Raynaud's Phenomenon in some people, so it should only be used under proper medical supervision. Are there any questions I can help with? Can Lozart H be taken twice a day ## What is the dosage and how high is the patients blood pressure? If you're just asking about splitting the existing dosage, yes it can be done and is usually good to do so, because it can give better blood pressure control throughout the day and night. However, most doctors will prescribe it to be taken once daily, because many people forget to take medications more often. If you are asking about increasing the dosage, you shouldn't do that without your doctor's approval. Learn more Losartan details here. Learn more Hydrochlorothiazide details here.

My doctor spoke against the Antenolol drug but has specified Nebicard 5mg as an option. Both are beta blockers, but which one will have the least side effects? ## Atenolol is an old drug but the only bet blocker I can tolerate. I don't have edema in my feet anymore and I have more energy and less depression than with anything else. It also does the job for me just as well as any other drug. I take 50 mg twice a day along with a diuretic and my pressure is usually in the 120s or 80s even being over 100 lbs overweight. ## bhushan, since they are both in the same drug class, they both pretty much carry the same side effect risks, such as nausea, headache, dizziness and stomach pain. I am taking Eslo 5 Tablet for over one yr for mild hypertension. Now have got swelling of the one foot & leg till knee.Know that this can be side effect of this medicine.Would like to know alternative medicine if I want stop this one. Thanks ## How have your blood pressure readings been? Are you also watching your fluid and salt intake? There's a chance that such swelling may not be solely due to the medication, elevated blood pressure and too much sodium and fluid can cause edema and that, in turn, may lead to congestive heart failure. So yes, there are alternative medications that can be taken, but you need to seek medical assistance first, to have this checked out and see what's causing the problem, rather than just trying to handle it yourself.

I think this is my Metoprolol, but I'm not sure. I take (4) different BP medicines and because I don't have prescription drug coverage, I often get my meds. at different pharmacies, depending on where I can get the medicine the cheapest, so the generic version of what I get varies from pharmacy to pharmacy. I just want to make sure it is my Metoprolol before I take it. ## I'm sorry, but I can't find a listing for a tablet with this marking in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases that I've checked. Can you please double check the imprint? What else do you take? I can try looking at those, also. In the future, I'd suggest leaving them in their original bottles, to avoid potentially dangerous mix-ups.

I would like to know if this medication can cause a burning sensation on the ankles and the back of your legs. My mom is 86 and when she takes this medication she has severe burning sensation which is only alleviated when she walks. ## And it only occurs for awhile after she takes it, or is it there all the time? Metoprolol is a beta blocker and, like most other blood pressure and cardiac medications, it works by affecting circulation. So, there is a possibility that such action may have something to do with the problem. There are more Metoprolol details for you here, so you can learn more about it. However, that could also be the sign of some other possibly serious medical issues, such as nerve damage or blood clots. Has she consulted her doctor yet?
