I am taking Lisinopril-hydrochlorothiazide 10-12.5. I have been taking it for about 1 yr now. Over the last few month, when I get heated and sweat, I get a severe itching sensation over my entire body. Almost unbearable, but it subsides when I cool down. Could this be a side effect of this medication. ## Yes, there is a possibility that it is from the medication. Medications such as this, which are commonly used to help treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions, work by having an effect on your circulatory system. SUFFERING FROM BLOODPRESSURE AND HEART TROUBLE ## Sir, I am having high blood pressure since 1996. Started with Nuril 2.5mg, the dose had to be incresed from time to time as the BP increased. Recently BP went as high as 170 / 115. Now I am taking Arkamin(Clonidine 100 mg) thrice + Tide 10(Torsemide) once+Tozaar R 5 twice + Amlopress AT once a day, yet the BP varies between 120 / 80 and 150 /90. I play tennis almost regularly and it may be a coincidence or overexertion that my BP rises at night when I have tough games in evening. Is my heavy medication likely to damage some organs in the body? How the BP can be controlled in my case? Warm regards R G Soni ## What is the difference between Tozaar H & Tozaar R-5. Quoted below is some information I found on government website comparing Hydrochlorothiazide and Chlorthalidone: "Thiazide diuretics are a mainstay for the treatment of hypertension. Although there are several thiazide diuretics currently available, hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) continues to be the most popular thiazide used for treating high blood pressure. This is despite several clinical trials that have used and documented the benefits of chlorthalidone for hypertension management. Has anyone had burning of hands and feet and callouses on hands and feet from edarbi? ## Edarbi (Azilsartan Medoxomil) doesn't appear to list any such symptoms as a possible adverse effect. However it does sound to me like you may be experiencing an allergic reaction to the drug. I could be wrong in assuming this, but there are no side effects stating otherwise.
