I had to look up the side effects since I'm sensitive to medication. It's an ACE inhibitor. It can make you dizzy, headaches, increase your potassium levels (WebMD says don't take a potassium supplement if you're taking Lisinopril.) You can have abnormally low blood pressure, decreased blood platelets, decreased function of the bone marrow. Decreased neutrophils (a type of white blood cell), deficiency of granulocytes - a type of white blood cell. I'd suggest doing a Google search to see what you can find. I've noticed you can't find the information you need all in one place. Good luck! ## No, that is not listed as known side effects. In addition to what Nikki has alrea...

My doctor gave me prestiq about 6 weeks ago, because we were having no luck controlling my hotflases with hormones. I had a complete hysterectomy @ 37 a year ago and the flashes were a nightmare! This medicine almost COMPLETELY stopped the hotflashes and helped with the mood swings! I was amazed that an antidepressent was the answer! FYI, I also sleep better and have been diagnosed with figromyalgia, which the symptoms are a little more tolerable. ## Some of the things I have read about Prestique are scary. My sister takes it and it has stopped her hot flashes and it has improved her mood. Medco does not cover it and I was wondering how much it costs? I also have high blood pressure (controlled on Norvasc) do you know if that would be a problem? ## It has become increasingly more common...

My generic toprol xl just changed to this and I want info on this manufacturer to see if there are any problems with it. ## I was also changed to the Actavis Metoprolol success er 25 MG due to lack of availability or discontinuation of Mylan's generic version. I find the Avtavis version not nearly as effective as Mylan and am trying to learn the status of the Mylan MT1 version, or the effectiveness of other generics for this drug. ## Although some manufacturers have a reputation for more or less effective meds, I find that everyone's response/reaction is also going to vary based on several factors; including but not limited to one's unique body chemistry, metabolism, sensitivities to inert ingredients, etc. That said, trial and error may be the only way to determine what wor...
hi,for three years i've been using this pill. in the last year i've been having a reaction that has caused spot on several parts of the body. now when i the pill was yellow beige is was fine. now i keep getting a pinky color of which i feel im slightly allergic to. who makes the yellow one. ive had at least three different manifactors i would like to know who makes the yellow one. any info would help. thanks letha ## It sounds like you are getting a different generic form of the medication. Talk to the pharmacist to see if he switched this on you. He can tell you the manufacturer. Some generics aren't exactly the same. The pink one has something in it that the brown one didn't. The other thing is, maybe the pink pill is a mistake, the wrong medication. Talk to the pharma...
I switched pharmacies and the pills look different - it didn't concern me, and research says they are the same thing. However, I FEEL different. My heart starts racing, then returns to normal, and I have tremendous pressure in my head. Pharmacy A uses round white pill w/ M 100 on one side, scored on othe. Pharmacy B is round white with M 3 on it, and a score between the characters, blank on other side. B is the one I am struggling with. Would there be a difference in how I feel? ## Hello, Susan! How are you? Yes, they are both 100mg Metoprolol tables, they're just manufactured by different companies. However, under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, there can be slight differences in the amount of the active ingredient in generics, so this new one may be a little stronger than the on...

I was on Atenolol from 2002 to 2017. Then there was a "shortage". The new Atenolol is absolutely NOT the same. If it was, I wouldn't have to take 9, that's right 9 50mg tablets of metoprolols with the Atenolol. I've told my Doctor. He either doesn't believe me, or doesn't care. With my hand on a Bible....
