Stopping Clonidine Hydrochloride .1mg

I was put on clonidine 3 weeks ago and have 6 days left and cant get money to see a doctor and have zero resources. All efforts for help have been exhausted and denied.. I have severe heart palpatations and chest pains along with blurred vision and ear aching and a nonstop headache. My heart feels like its pounding in my throat causing throat pain as well.. Been to ER twice within three weeks and just want to try to reduce my ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION of 192/35 through a diet ive come across seeing as no doctor will see or treat me and cant keep going to ER every two weeks running up a $5g debt each visit.. I have 6 days of Clonidine .1mg twice daily left. How do i safely get off this medication? I have no other choice..

Hello, Lily! How are you doing? I'm so sorry about the problems that you're having.

Are there any low income clinics in your area? Your blood pressure is too high to be able to just reduce if by diet right now, those are danger numbers, you could have a heart attack, stroke or congestive heart failure.

I have been there, it happened to me 3 and a half years ago, I can honestly say that the hospital bill for CHF was far higher than a doctor's visit, general ER visits or the medications all combined.

Why won't a doctor see you or treat you?

Yeah i also wanna know how to switch to another med from clonidine. I have 4 days of clonidine left and plan to just switch to norplus 5th day. I just read that stopping clonidine is bad/dangerous. It should be gradual. But if i switch to norplus (ace inhibitor) is this ok? Being a different class from clonidine.
