I just received my atenolol 25 mg. from a mail order pharmacy. It looks noticeably larger than the ones I have been getting from retail pharmacies for the past 6 years. The bigger one is marked Z65 and the other ones were marked either TEVA 787 or RE 19. Are they the same dosage? Why are they different sizes? ## Yes, all of the tablets you've mentioned contain 25mgs of Atenolol, they're all just manufactured by different companies, which is normal for a generic medication. And there is nothing that dictates the size a pill should be, that depends on the manufacturing process and the inactive ingredients they decide to use. Learn more Atenolol details here. my son takes the carvedilol, I take the metoprolol. I'm out of meds until tom. Can I sub the carvedilol for the metoprolol ## Hello, Thadmc4! How are you? That is a question that only your doctor can answer for you. There can be rebound effects, if you miss a dose of your current medication, so when switching to or substituting another, you have to make sure that it's an equivalent dose. In the future, you should make sure to always pick up your refill, before you run out. This is not a controlled substance, so you should be able to pick it up a day or two early from your pharmacy. Is there anything else I can help with?

my husband was given a new generic Bisoprolol manufactured by Unichem and it is pink were the one he was taking is by Mylan and blue. His blood pressure is high and he feels bad. Can anyone tell me why there is a difference? ## Hello, I believe that your husband may be reacting to one or more of the "inactive" ingredients in Mylan's formulation of Bisoprolol. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may respond favorably with one medication and not the other, due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves. Have you spoken with your doctor about this? Learn More: Bisoprolol Details I hope ...
