Its an expensive medicine and the doctors seem to be very interested in pushing it. The only thing good about it will be for the med corporations. ## Doctors will generally try to push new medications, to see if they work better than the old ones, since new ones are being discovered all the time and there have been many cases where something was new but found to be safer and more effective. Thus, it's just natural for a doctor to do that, to try to help their patients, as much as possible. Tyvaso is used to treat PAH, so yes, it can seriously lower someone's blood pressure, that's what it's really intended to do. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and vomiting. Are you taking it? How's it working for you?

Why am having so much trouble in getting Bystolic? ## Hello, Hugh! How are you? I'm sorry that you're having a problem getting your medication. There is a shortage currently listed for Nebivolol, though no reason has been specified other than manufacturing issues. Thus, it might be best to speak to your doctor about prescribing an alternative medication, in the meantime. This medication is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, weight changes and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was prescribed Losartin 100 mg-25 for high blood pressure. hAD BEEN ON 50 MG-12.5. RAN OUT OF THE 100 MG SO STARTED TAKING THE 50 MG TABS. NOW HAVING DIZZINESS,NAUSEA, TIGHTNESS IN CHEST HEARTBURN AND SOME TINGLING DOWN ARM. ## Hi Zoiee, Based on my research, the following symptoms are listed as side effects of Losartan: Dizziness Heartburn Decreased sensitivity to touch Chest pain Chest pain however, is regarded as a serious side effect that should be reported to your doctor immediately. Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a695008.html#side-effects It could just be that when you switched brands/manufacturers, the inactive ingredients triggered a different reaction within your system, perhaps increasing the risk of potential side effects. Are you not able to get any more refill...

No I can't find the pill 243 white and its written as amlodipine 10mg I really want to take the right medication ## Hello, Twana! How are you? No, a round, white tablet with just the numbers 243 on it is listed as being Lamotrigine, which is an anticonvulsant. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes and mood swings. Is that the complete marking on the tablet?

I use to take Divan for B/P and my pressure was in the 125 range but this med. went sky rocking in price, so he change me to this med. losartan which is more cheaper, but my B/P went up to 135-140 range, is this good??? should I be concern? an other question my iron has awlway been on the low side the last results was 77 I don't understand this numbers, they use be like 12-14, thanks for any help. Michael ## Hello, Michael! How are you? What is your diastolic, aka the lower number? For the top the 135 to 140 aren't dangerous numbers, just slightly elevated and it's normal for most people to hit them occasionally. Generally, most doctor's don't worry about that range. It could even be due to a slight rebound effect from switching medications. Losartan is an ARB and it...

I think my brother is using them recreationally and would like verification. ## Hey, is the pill blue colored? If so, then it is most likely a Propanolol 20mg which is actually a blood pressure med. So if that's the case, then it is most likely NOT being taken recreationally or to abuse them, rather he might have been prescribed them to treat blood pressure or cardiac conditions. Pls let me know what you find out...

Blood pressure 90/60 since June. Been on Losartin for 15 years. This year had knee replacement surgery for painful knee; pain for last 6 years. Now no pain and no stress full job, so dr. thinks my blood pressure has dropped because no more pain or stress; he lowered it to 50 mg from 100 mg. Still 60/90. Lowered it to 25.mg and still 60/90. Am eating more potassium every meal, weight is 160 at 5'5" age 65. Do you think no stress and no pain means no high blood pressure? Can I possibly go off of it? ## Hello, Susan! How are you doing? Yes, it is possible that your blood pressure elevationg was just due to the pain and stress, both are known to cause it to go up. However, please don't go off of it, without your doctor's approval and supervision. Suddenly stopping it could c...

I am 62 years old and have blood pressure and prostate enlargement , taking terazocine 4mg and loser 50mg a day ,now I have been suggested to use loser 100mg and a Amlopres-5 and tamsolucine a day . What is your idea about this new drags. ## By using new prescribe how will be my blood pressure ,lower or higher ? ## Hi Mandi, Sorry to hear about your conditions. Unfortunately I haven't come across any specific details regarding a medication by the name of "Loser 100mgs"; however I am seeing that Amlopres (Amlodipine) is used to treat hypertension, and Tamsulosin is used (in men) to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate. So given the information in your description, it does seem to me that those two drugs are appropriate for the said conditions. The only other thing that ...

Who is the manufacturer in the US? Are they located in Florida? ## Can you post back with the specific markings from the tablets you are asking about? Cloidine is a generic medication, so it is available from quite a few different manufactures, such as Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Mutual Pharma, Vintage Pharmaceuticals and several others. The name brand product, Catapres, is manufactured by Beohringer Ingleheim and their main headquarters is in Germany. ## I take clonidine for high blood pressure, but the generic form, which has recently been changed to catapres. It seems the other generic name for clonidine was not catapres, what other drug could it have been instead of catapres? ## no markings ## A257 is on the back of the tablet. Very important is that it's the extended release form of...

What is this pill I found ? ## Hi Kristy, Just have a few questions that may help narrow down our search results: What shape is this pill you found? How are the numbers laid out on the pill (i.e. altogether or on separate sides)? And is the "w" part of the description or just an abbreviation for "with"? As of now, the closest match I could find is a redish/pink oval-shaped pill marked with 93 over 28 on one side and blank on the other. The tablet I mentioned is reportedly identified as a 10mg enalapril maleate pill, used primarily for treating high blood pressure. However with those other specific details I may be able to pull up other potential matches as well. Hope this helps!

does lisinopril tree exiety I was put on it briefly when I was in jail but I wasn't able to get a prescription when I got out for it still having anxiety shortness of breath ## Hello, James! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. No, Lisinopril isn't usually used to treat anxiety. It is an ACE inhibitor that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, certain cardiac conditions and to prevent the renal complications that can be associated with diabetes. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and dry cough. Thus, most doctors aren't going to prescribe it for such a use. Has your doctor offered you any treatment options?

20 years ago I was blacking out over a period of time so went to the ER. Had BP of 21/14. Literally. How common is this? I was awake and they asked me why I was still alive. I still wonder to this day. Took me 60 days to get back to normal. Docs concluded allergy. Should I be dead? ## @klcbva, This is honestly the first time I've ever heard of anyone having a blood pressure THAT low (21/41). So it's probably not very common at all and it's no wonder you were blacking out on a regular basis because of it... Information from the mayoclinic suggests that big plunges in blood pressure due to allergic reactions can be life threatening. But as to how close you may have been to death, I haven't found any specific details mentioning exact figures. Although my guess is that you w...

I take Benicar and it was discontinued by my insurance. I called the manufacturer and they sent me a discount card. With this card all I pay is $25.00 each time I refill. Many drug companies have the same benefit card plan, so please call the manufacturer and see if there is a card available for your prescription. ## Hi franny1, Thanks for sharing this info on how to save money on Benicar. I too am finding that these drug discount cards are the next best thing to insurance when it comes to cutting down on costs. This site also happens to offer a savings card that reportedly helps with up to 15-75% off your prescription. I don't know what your original price was before getting the savings card from the manufacturer, but if you wanted to compare potential savings, you could also try s...

I got a prescription from a mom & pop pharmacy that I always get from but they always give me different pills each time. This time they gave me something and I looked it up on the internet but I cant find it anywhere. There closed all weekend and I'm allergic to a lot of medicines. I tried calling a different pharmacy but they said they can't tell me cuz the mom & pop pharmacy is a compound phamracy (I guess they make there own pills I don't know) it is white and oval and says 13 on it. What is it? Its suppose to be lorstan potassium 100mg ## No, that doesn't make sense, because compounding pharmacies use capsules, they don't usually have pill presses to make the solid tablets. Is 13 the complete marking? I've gone through several pages of pill images, bu...

I started bystolic 4 years ago. I ve had several issues with it. The most troubling is the 40 pound weight gain. Just stopped bystolic. Wondering if anyone can tell me if I am stuck with this gain or will I start to lose it. I am not usually overweight. But could not lose an ounce on bystolic. ## Hello, Sue! How are you? What did you replace it with? If you were taking it for high blood pressure or a cardiac condition, then you can't just stop such a medication abruptly, unless your doctor has approved your doing so, because that creates the risk of a rebound effect, which could result in severely elevated blood pressure and heart rate. You really need to work with your doctor to find a medication that works for you, without causing such problematic side effects. But yes, once switc...

I was put on 50 mg of Metoprolol and after the first day I was slightly being dizzy. It is making it somewhat difficult to drive. So I didn't take the drug. Now I have a racing heart! Its damn if I do damn if I don't. Sorry I had a heart attack and I am just as sorry I can't tollerate these drugs. I want to make the doctor happy but how can I? I've also started dealing with phobias that I never had before. I ma really concerned that the medications will keep me from driving and enjoying my freedom. (Actually my phobias got worse today!) All after only taking this drug one time! ## Hello, Keith! How are you doing? I'm sorry about your health and the problems you've had. There are other medications you can try, it's really just a matter of working with your doc...

My mail order pharmacy has said Ivan no longer makes verapamil sr. How can I get the 240 tablets in a brand name? ## Hello, BK! How are you? To get the brand name, you need your doctor to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary' or whatever the equivalent is in your state, sometimes the phrasing varies, but your doctor will know what you're talking about. There are other generics available, though. There is one manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals, one from Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals, one from Glenmark, one from Apotex and several others. Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and increased urination. Is there anything els...

I had 2 BPs taken in two days, BP was 157/100 and 157/105; I was recently prescribed Losartan 25 mg. The note from the doctor in my file this morning said to increase to 50 mg. I was on Lisinopril 5 mg, so while waiting to hear from someone I took the Lisinopril 5 mg. which I had normal BP while on it. What should I do? ## Hello, Lynda! How are you doing? You should follow your doctor's instructions to take the Losartan at 50mgs. It is an ARB and may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, stomach pain, dry cough and increased urination. Were you abruptly switched from the Lisinopril to the Losartan? If so, that might have caused these elevations, you may have experienced a slight rebound effect and it could take awhile for the Losartan to kick in and lower your blood pressure.

My father (post CABG, 65 yrs) has been taking Telma AMH 40 instead of Telma AM 40 (which he took for a year or so post CABG) since last 3 months. Recently he was diagnosed with unexplained loss of electrolytes (hyponatremia, Na was 104 when detected, and corrected till 122). Can this loss be due to the usage of Telma AM or AMH? Rest of his reports are coming normal, so we are not able to diagnose the causative factor. ## Yes, it might be caused by the Telma AMH, which contains the active ingredients Telmisartan, Amlodipine and Hydrocholorothiazide. The Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that's used to help remove excess fluid from the body, but when taking it, someone has to be careful that they take in enough fluid to balance out the loss, or dehydration and such loss of the electro...
