Is it safe to take tylenol 3 a hour after taking 10mg of amlodipine. ## Hello, Jazz! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. Has your doctor prescribed both medications? The FDA classifies Tylenol 3 as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

Since the change from a solid tablet to time released capsule my Bp has risen. Where can the tablet be gotten. ## Hello, J! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. I'd advise speaking with your doctor, they can designate on the prescription that you are only to be given tablets, then the pharmacy cannot give you the capsules. The FDA classifies Verapamil as a calcium channel blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. My doctor has done this for me, so I can split doses of some medications that aren't time released, if needed. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am taking half pill of phentermine to help me from craving food all the time and Lisinopril 20 mg in the am. My blood pressure went up to 175/90. I read that the diet pill can raise your blood pressure. Can I take another 20 mg at night? Will that help? ## Hello, Marijess! How are you? Is your doctor aware that you're taking Phentermine? If you have high blood pressure taking it could be dangerous, because it elevated both blood pressure and heart rate. You may also experience other side effects, as listed by the FDA, which could include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, nervousness and anorexia. And no, you shouldn't adjust your Lisinopril, without your doctor's approval. The FDA classifies it as an ACE inhibitor and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea...

I don't find any interactions or problems listed between them, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. Has your doctor prescribed both? Bystolic was prescribed by my doctor to control high blood pressure. The same doctor did an angiogram and placed a stent in a major artery. Following the stent placement I discovered that the Bystolic threw me into a arrhythmia called PVC (premature cardiac contraction) resulting in extreme tiredness and constant fatigue and an 8 hour visit to emergency. After 24 hours of stopping Bystolic (a decision made on my own) my heart rate returned to normal. What doctors don't know about pharmaceuticals is astounding! ## Hi, John! I'm very sorry about what happened to you. And no, doctor's don't know as much about pharmaceuticals as pharmacists, but even with what they may know, they can't be sure of how any given medication will affect you. There are always possible side ef...

I am on Bystolic 10 mg and Benicar 40 mg. Is it better to take Bystolic in the morning or the Benicar. My bp is usually elevated when I wake up and seems that Bystolic was not controlling it in the morning so my MD suggested trying Benicar in am & Bystolic at night? ## For the best results, you should follow your doctor's instructions. However, it is normal for your blood pressure to elevate for awhile, when you first wake up. Its usually just due to it dropping while your sleeping, then you get a sudden spike, when you get up in the morning. That's generally not something to worry about, as long as the elevation is only temporary and it goes back down later. Many people see elevations every morning, if they check before they take their medications, too. When I first saw min...

What's the difference between Verapamil HCL ER 240mg (blue and yellow capsule) vs Verapamil ER 240mg (turquoise capsule)? ## Hello, Tee! How are you? There is no difference, going by what you've listed, they are the same medication, the HCL was just not included on the label of the one. It stands for Hydrochloride and designates the specific chemical salt the medication is derived from, but they don't have to list it on the label. Otherwise, these have just been manufactured by different companies. Verapamil is classified by the FDA as a calcium channel blocker that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. what is the side effect of asomex d ## Asomex-D contains the active ingredients Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide, it is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dehydration. Learn more: Are there any other comments or questions? ## Whether it causes swelling in the legs due to water retation ## sainath, the Hydrochlorothiazide that is in the Asomex-D is a diuretic that is used to remove fluid from the body to treat or prevent that water retention, so this medication definitely shouldn't cause that, it should help prevent it or reduce it, if you are already suffering from it. Of course, this means that you do have to watch for possible symptoms of dehydration, such as: nausea, weakness...

Ive got high blood pressure and have been taking a small round pink pill but when i went to get my refill the pill is small but white and has what looks like a v on one side and the numbers 3972 on the other side. Im suppose to be taking 10 mg of lisinopril. Can you tell me what this pill is. I am so confused because of the different kinds of pills for my brand of medicine I take. Plus I also feel light headed, fuzzy and sick to my stomach. It probably dont have anything to do with this pill but just want to be on the safe side. Why do they make different kinds of pills for lisinopril 10 mg? ## The reason there are different pills available is because Lisinopril is a generic medication, not a name brand. The name brands would be Prinivil or Zestril. When a medication is available as a g...

Hi my wife is taking. She had a trip to the hospital that resulted in this as well as several other RX. Am curious to know just how much potassium is this in English? And what is a normal daily intake of Potassium? Thank you. ## Hi Ed, Sorry to hear about your wife having to go to the hospital. I hope she's doing a lot better as of the time you posted this thread. Concerning the dosage of 20 mEq, this translates to 1500 mg (milligrams). In terms of what amount someone is supposed to have each day, it may vary depending on several factors (i.e. things like: age, pregnancy, breastfeeding, hypertension, renal disorders, etc)... However, for the average adult, colostate.edu recommends a dosage of 4,700 mg per day. Hope this helps! ## Are you sure about the recommendation of 4700 mg of p...

will hyaluronic acid capsules to treat joint pain have any side effects with high blood pressure medicine atenolol/chlorth ## Hello, Lilly! How are you? Unfortunately, these natural substances aren't evaluated for possible interactions with prescription medications, so I don't have such information. In theory, I'd think it should be fine, but it would be best to double check with your doctor, before taking it. Does it really help with your joint pain? ## Hi, I have been using Hyaluronic (HA) supplements for the past 2/3 years and noticed my BP was consistently higher 130/90 for the past several months. it is possible to take propranolol 10 mg one time daily ? ## Propranolol is a beta blocker that is used to treat several conditions, like cardiac problems, high blood pressure and others. My 66 year old mother went for a knee replacement operation and ended up in icu. She suffered Pulmonary embolism and has moisture on her lungs. She takes eltroxin and premex plus 4mg. The doctor changed her eltroxin to .5mg and changed her blood pressure medication to concor. She now slurs and gets very hypertensive. Is concor a better blood pressure tablet and is it good to change her dossage of eltroxin from 1.mg and 1.5mg every second day to .5mg daily? ## Good morning in September last year my GP put me on to premex (lowest dosage). Since then I have gained 9kgs, no change to my eating or drinking habits, could it be caused by the tablet.

Sheesh... this may be the current (latest?) way to treat high blood pressure (which has caused a thickening of the heart muscle). Now it will be two meds. Any guesses what effect this combination may have on my energy levels and ability to exercise and lose another 20 lbs? ## Hello, Mac! How are you? This isn't a new thing, multiple medications are commonly used when someone has severe hypertension, or treatment resistant high blood pressure. Once it comes down, medications can be removed, or dosages lowered, as appropriate. You may feel some dizziness, drowsiness and fatigue for about 4 weeks or so, but then the side effects should ease up, as your body adjusts to the medication. You'll be able to exercise, but the weight loss is unknown, because some of these medications can c...

what is the best replacement for levatol? ## Hello, Frances! How are you? I'm not a doctor, so I can't say with certainty, but I think the closest may be Labetalol. My question is whether this is long acting or immediate? My blood pressure is low in morning -l09/66 in the a.m. and is 139/72 to l44/72 in p.m. I take 1/2 tab in a.m. If I take the whole amount, my pressure seems to drop too low? ## Hello, Lilah! How are you? Is it causing you any adverse symptoms? The 109/66 is actually not dangerously low, that's actually considered to be in the good low range. I am hypertensive and diabetic and was prescribed to take amlodipine with metformin. But, since I also have chronic bilateral renal parenchymal disease with nephrolithiases and enlarged prostate, I had to take tamsulosin with acalka also. Doctors say that the first two conditions have to be gone before any progress in the other conditions can take effect. And, the kidney stones, too. ESWL is expensive and I could't work meantime except from home due to the outcrop of side effects -- ex., diarrhea alternating with constipation -- not to mention the attendant pain of having kidney stones inside me and the looming fever that neither burns too hot nor lets me off completely in some eternal purgatory of chilly heat. As to tamsulosin, I have nothing but thanks for being able to urinate natur

Their logo is frequently referred to as a "half moon", but it also resembles the letter D - which is imprinted on one side of this pill, and has the number 851 on the other. Guanfacine is indicated for use in treating ADHD as well as hypertension. And as a means of verification, it carries a National Drug Code of 0228-2851. Hope this info helps!
