White oval pill with E and then 281, it's supposed to be Metoprolol but they are smaller than the other ones I had before. ## The size of a tablet is only dependent on what filler/inactive ingredients the manufacturer has decided to us in the production formula, and the medication dosage, so pill sizes can differ from one manufacturer to another. The tablet with the E 281 marking was manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, and they listed it as containing 25mgs of Metoprolol, which is commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. NDC: 00185-0281 This tablet has been discontinued. Ref: Medline Plus Metoprolol The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination.

Does this medication reduce pulse rate? ## Yes, it can cause a lowered heart/pulse rate as a side effect. This medication contains the active ingredient Bisoprolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions, its other side effects may include nausea, dizziness and hypotension. The main thing you have to watch for is how much it's lowering your heart rate, if it's dipping below 60 beats per minute, then it is a concern that should be discussed with your doctor. It should naturally be lower when you are sedentary, but it should go up when being active. If you are a high performance athlete, yours may be lower when resting and that may be normal for you. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## Why wou...

Does prazosin cause acne? I've always had very clear skin and since I started taking prazosin I've been breaking out (zits) all over my face, even on my neck. And they're not just little pimples; they are the huge. They are big zits that never come to a head, they take weeks to go away, sometimes leave scars, and they hurt! ## Yes, this works on hormones in the body, so acne can be a result. I had a very similar problem, when I was taking a similar drug. It never stopped for me, until I switched medications, so I'd suggest looking into that for yourself. Because I tried every other metho I could find and nothing helped. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## I have acne now after starting Prasozin. My skin is more oily too. ## The same thing is happening to me!

I'm on clonidine and gabapentin for withdrawals and my drug screens test positive for bup. ## When you say its comes up at Burp. are you meaning the ingredient in Suboxone. ## What can you clonidine show up as in your urine? Having trouble sleeping at night and was wondering if propranolol would help as they slow your heart beat? ## No, it is not safe to try to use them to induce sleep. Propranolol can cause some drowsiness as a side effect, but it is actually most commonly used to help lower high blood pressure and improper use of it can be dangerous, due to the fact that it can lower your heart rate and blood pressure. You can learn more Propranolol details here. Thus, the first thing you need to do is get to the root of the problem. What is causing you to have trouble sleeping? I take Coversyl for high blood pressure. In the mornings my BP is usually around 137 over 96. In the evenings it has consistently been around 106 over 77. Why such a difference? I take the Coversyl in the mornings, would it stop having an effect after 24 hours? ## Is your morning check done, before you take your medication, or before it has a chance to start working? If so, that would explain it being slightly higher in the mornings. A different evening reading can be explained by your activity, diet, other medications you may be taking, and etc. It is normal for it to fluctuate throughout the day, you will not really ever get readings that are consistently the same. You can learn more here from the AHA. (American Heart Association) Are you on any other medications? Do you drink anythi...

I started taking generic Hyzaar and I think this may be causing me to itch all over constantly. Is this possible? ## Mar, it sounds like you are having an allergic reaction of some sort. After reading through the package details on DailyMed, I did not find any specific mention of itching as an expected side effect of this drug. I would let your doctor know about this ASAP, as you may need to stop this drug.

Can Losartan cause shortness of breath? I take 100 mg. and cut today's dosage to 50 mg. Can I taper that way? ## In this case, it is very important that you consult your doctor as soon as possible. If you are taking such a medication for high blood pressure or a cardiac condition, there are quite a few issues, other than just the medication, that could be causing the shortness of breath and some of them, such as congestive heart failure, may be life threatening. Learn more Losartan details here. And if you been taking it for those reasons, it is not safe to just stop taking it and not be taking anything, even if you taper off, since such conditions will just revert to being uncontrolled. Are they a good combination? My BP was always around 120/65-75 and suddenly it went up to about 150/93. I took pharmapress 10mg and fedaloc sr60 for months. I had prexum plus in my meds cabinet and took one after taking pharmapress and fedaloc as always. Now my BP is down again to about 130/74. It seems the prexum did help. What now? ## The problem is that the Pharmapress, which contains Enalapril, and the Prexum Plus, which contains Perindopril, are both ACE inhibitors, which means you are essentially doubling up on the same medication, which could cause you to take too much, and overdose. An overdose may cause symptoms such as shallow breathing, extreme dizziness, fainting, and dangerously low blood pressure, and heart rate, according to FDA warnings.
