Has anyone used CBD broad spectrum (non thc) gummies for anxiety? I am having A LOT of anxiety after weaning off of bisoprolol (beta blocker) 9 weeks ago. I've never suffered from anxiety my whole life, so I know it's from this med. I was given a PRN script of xanax (low dose, .25 mg) from my doctor to take until the anxiety passes from this BB withdrawal. But the problem is the anxiety, for some reason, has ramped up the last 2 weeks. In the last 13 days, I've needed to take 1 xanax a day for 10 of 13 of those days. Looking for an alternative to xanax until this anxiety passes, I decided to try CBD gummies. I have only been on them for a day, but it didn't really help at all, and I ended up taking a xanax at the end of the night. My question is: do the non-thc CBD gummi...
3 REPLIES UpdatedI was on bisoprolol for 2 years, and weaned off (with my cardiologist's ok) due to side effects (lightheadedness and low level anxiety). It's been 9 weeks. The lightheadedness is much better. But the last 2 weeks, the anxiety has gone through the roof: nervousness, anxiousness, edginess! My PCP gave me 1 script of xanax to help me get through the bad days until the anxiety subsides (low dose, .25 mg). And up until now, I've only had to take it a few days a week, every few weeks. Out of the last 11 days, I had to take a xanax 9 out of them. Up until I started taking bisoprolol, I never suffered from any form of anxiety. Or ever needed to take any type of benzo, for any reason. I am feeling pissed off, defeated. If anyone went through this and is feeling better, I could really...

2 REPLIES UpdatedSince taking Bisoprolol 2.5mg my weight has increased. Is there an alternative tablet that can be taken to eliminate the weight gain but still be as effective to my recovery? ## Hello Jacqui! How are you? Unfortunately, possible weight gain is a side effect of virtually all blood pressure and cardiac medications. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination and hypotension. How much have you gained? What condition is being treated? ## This site has really helped me understand weight gain and Bisoprolol (plus ramipril)... Does anyone have a diet that helps counteract the weight gain? I've tried quite a lot with no joy... ## Hi Margo, I have the same problem, in 12 months I have gained 4 inches on the waist, going from 34 inches to 38 in...
5 REPLIES UpdatedI found this pill in my house it says Teva on one side with the numbers 5720 on the other. Can someone help me out? I have teenagers and am concerned. ## It's bisoprolol. A beta blocker ## If its 5728 rather than 5720 it's an ulcer medication called famotidine. 5 REPLIES UpdatedI took my amlodipine 5mg and bisoprolol 5mg upon waking up at 6:30am, then mistakenly took them again at 11am. What will happen to me? ## I took my amlodipine 5mg and bisoprolol 5mg at night 7:30 pm and mistakenly took them again at 8:30 pm. What will I do. ## That is not actually an overdose amount, but doubling up may cause you to experience more severe side effects than usual, such as dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration, and low blood pressure. Please keep watch on your symptoms, if you experience any, and seek medical attention if they become severe; though it is always best to check with your doctor to be sure. Ref: Amlodipine Information & Bisoprolol Information You should also be careful not to become dehydrated by making sure you take in plenty of fluids. D...
2 REPLIES UpdatedDoes this medication reduce pulse rate? ## Yes, it can cause a lowered heart/pulse rate as a side effect. This medication contains the active ingredient Bisoprolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions, its other side effects may include nausea, dizziness and hypotension. The main thing you have to watch for is how much it's lowering your heart rate, if it's dipping below 60 beats per minute, then it is a concern that should be discussed with your doctor. It should naturally be lower when you are sedentary, but it should go up when being active. If you are a high performance athlete, yours may be lower when resting and that may be normal for you. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## Why wou...

2 REPLIES UpdatedHave been taking bilocor for 3/4 years, have developed a scalp condition - pityriasis amantacea which my dermatologist can be a rare side effect of bilocor. Very distressing as it causes scales on the scalp that come away with hair so can cause patches of baldness. Can this be from the bilocor? ## I have a pacemaker and use Bilocor 5 on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the Bilocor has rendered me totally impotent. Are there any alternatives without this side-effect? ## I take bilocor daily, but started having a runny nose and coughing from the approximate time of commencing with bilocor. 3 REPLIES UpdatedBeen taking Concor 5mg, 2.5mg am and 2.5 mg pm for 6 months. The first 5 months Concor kept me from having breakthrough atrial fib episodes. Now I am having them frequently and the Concor is not able to control the. I do have bradycardia but not high blood pressure. I am an expatriate US living in Cyprus and don't have anyone to ask. I have episodes frequently. what to do? ## Do you have a doctor you are seeing for this? Concor contains the active ingredient Bisoprolol, which is a beta blocker. And there are 2 possibilities as to what may be causing your problem. One is that your body may have simply just gotten used to the current dosage, so it isn't working as well for you as it used to. This happens to most people, sooner or later, and there is no specific time frame for it, ...
9 REPLIES UpdatedAs soon as I was put on Bisoprolol, I complained of breathlessness and feeling as if my lungs no longer worked automatically. I complained that I felt like a drunk zombie, that Bisoprolol had turned me into an old man overnight. Thing is, I stopped taking any beta blockers eight months ago, but all the symptoms that started from the day I took Bisoprolol remain to this day, I an so exhausted that I can only get out of bed every other day, my lung oxygen content has gone down to 85% when asleep, my heart rate is variable for no reason. But nobody in the medical profession will acknowledge that Beta Blockers have residual side effects and so say I have anxiety, which I certainly am unaware of. In view of the fact that Beta Blockers effect receptors of the Autonomic Nervous System, and all...
2 REPLIES UpdatedMy mom is 94. She was put on bisoprolol in march. Recently she has begun to experience frequent urination going most of the day. It has increased within the past week especially. Anyone else have this problem? ## That is normal, frequent urination is listed by the FDA as being a side effect of most blood pressure and cardiac medications. You may also experience dizziness, headache and hypotension. How much fluid does she take in each day? Is she on any other medications? ## I am 65 and since starting bisoprolol/hctz 10/6.25mg I have to urinate 5 or 6 times during the night. It is horrible. I asked my doctor for another medication that is not a diuretic and he said it's such a low dose that it doesn't cause frequent urination. Wrong! ## I notice similar effect on me. I got heart ...
4 REPLIES UpdatedMy usual medication is Verahexzal SR240mg, Migroben 160mg. These have been added to reduce my blood pressure * Puresis 20mg, * Plenish K, * Esperide and this last week Biliocor 5mg. These last few days I have been feeling lack of energy and a bit breathless - I would appreciate your professional comments? ## Yes, these medications can cause these issues as side effects, according to NIH reports. I had a similar issue, when I was taking Bisoprolol, the active ingredient in Biliocor. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. However, it is always a good idea to check your blood pressure, since it may indicate low blood pressure, or other possible cardiac issues. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?
1 REPLY UpdatedHow long should Concor R be taken? Is it advantageous to be on Concor R for a long period of time? Being a regular user of Concor R (2.5mg) at the age of 72, should I consult my physician before discontinuing treatment? Please give your considserate opinion. ## The duration of treatment under any medication should be determined by the prescribing doctor. Thus, in my opinion, there is no right or wrong length of time in which Concor-R should be taken. Not only do we all respond to each medication differently, but we also may be prescribed the same types of meds for different reasons -some requiring longer treatment than others... However, I do think it is important to consult your prescribing doctor before discontinuing treatment (especially if you have been taking Concor-R for any exten...
1 REPLY UpdatedI'm a 71-year-old male: Cardiloc 2.5 (bisoprolol) seems to work fine - but makes me feel very very cold. Is there an alternative? ## For Hypertension or cardiac conditions, there are actually many other medications that are available for you to try. I had a similar problem with the beta blocker class of medications that Bisoprolol is in. The one I am currently using that hasn't caused me any serious problems is Labetalol, so you may want to see if it's available there for you to try. Learn more Labetalol details here. Learn more blood pressure details here. If it's not available, just let them know the problem you are having with it and tell them you'd like to switch to a different medication. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Many thanks. ## I have recen...
4 REPLIES UpdatedI was on bisoprolol + hydrochlorothiazide and my dr just switched me to lisinopril + hydrochlorothiazide. Do I have to be weaned off of the first blood pressure pill or can I start taking the new ones tomorrow? ## You should be able to make a smooth transition from one to the other, unless you've been instructed otherwise. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?
1 REPLY UpdatedI've been taking this for many years and have had tiredness, muscle tiredness, shortness of breath and my feet feel like lead. I'm taking 6.25mg nightly. Anyone else have symptoms with this med? ## Those can be normal side effects, along with nausea, dizziness, and dehydration, according to FDA reports. However, there is also a chance that they could be due to dehydration. How much fluid do you take in each day? Are you on any other medications? What have you recent BP readings been?
