Cbd For Anxiety After Stopping Bisoprolol

I am having A LOT of anxiety after weaning off of bisoprolol (beta blocker) 9 weeks ago. I've never suffered from anxiety my whole life, so I know it's from this med. I was given a PRN script of xanax (low dose, .25 mg) from my doctor to take until the anxiety passes from this BB withdrawal.
But the problem is the anxiety, for some reason, has ramped up the last 2 weeks. In the last 13 days, I've needed to take 1 xanax a day for 10 of 13 of those days.
Looking for an alternative to xanax until this anxiety passes, I decided to try CBD gummies. I have only been on them for a day, but it didn't really help at all, and I ended up taking a xanax at the end of the night.
My question is: do the non-thc CBD gummies take a few days to kick in and work? I REALLY hope so, because I was looking for a temporary alternative to xanax until this anxiety withdrawal caused by bisoprolol passes. Thanks.
