Well the pharmacy had the Mono-linyah ready a day later than they were supposed to so when I got the pack (on a Tuesday instead of a Monday). I took the missed pill asap (I took it less than 1 day late) and then the pill that was supposed to be taken that day and have been taken them regularly since. My fiance and I had intercourse 1 to 2 days before I started the pack. I also had some light pinkish/brownish spotting after I doubled up on the pills. Could this spotting be break through bleeding? I am also almost done with the 3rd week in the pack and also feel bloated. ## Hello, Cassandra! How are you? Has there been any change? It can be a normal side effect, according to the FDA, to expe...
Hello, I have taken Minastrin 24 Fe for at least 3 years now. I have not had any trouble with it but November of 2015 I missed a period. My periods resumed again in December 2015 and have been normal and on time since then. It is now February 2017 and I am waiting for my period to start. I took my last brown sugar pill today. I should have started two days ago. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I take my pill the same time each day and have never missed a day. ## If you haven't missed any pills, there really shouldn't be any reason to worry, though there is never any harm in checking for pregnancy, if you're concerned. The FDA does list missed periods, or irregular ones as being possible side effects of oral contraceptives. Has there been any change?
I've been taking my sprintec consistently for the first two weeks but I'm on my.. 3rd week I've been so stressed with mid terms that I missed my pills by an hour or two on some days and I was also wondering if that would affect my chances of not getting pregnant? Also when I start a new pack is there a chance I can change the time I take my pills I currently take them at 4pm but morning time with the rest of my pills will benefit me ## Hello, Nunu! How are you? According to NIH details, you have a window of about 12 hours, before it's considered a late pill and 24 hours, before it would be considered a missed pill, so you should be fine. However, there is never any harm in checking for pregnancy, if you are concerned. Yes, there is no reason you can't switch the time...
Hello guys I started taking lomedia 24 fe three months ago. I switched from minastrin. I switched because I couldn't afford the minastrin and the Dr said lomedia was the same thing. Since switching I have had 3 panic attacks I cry over every little thing I cramp horribly when I am bleeding. It's to the point of just laying in bed crying and not doing anything. I have bled most of this month. I had a reg period for 7 days except it was heavier than usual. Then a couple days after getting off I went to the bathroom and wipped there was a bunch of big blood clots but I hadn't been bleeding. Ever since that day I will randomly bleed heavily as if I'm on my period or sometimes worse and then a few hrs later ill stop bleeding and the cycle has continued for about two weeks now...
Hi so i went out a few weeks ago for a couple drinks and somehow I ended up blacking out...i guess i went down to the bathroom and was down there for about 15-20 minutes before my friend came down looking for me...i do not know if anything happened to me that night but I do have the nexplanon have had it since the end of July...i took a plan b just to be extra safe but about 2 weeks later I've been feeling weird different constipated, dizzy with headaches and gurgling/weird feelings in my stomach, sore boobs occasionally and since I got the nexplanon I've been bleeding pretty much the whole time and now last week for 4 days no bleeding then got my period for 3 days now it stopped again...what is the chance something happened to me that night and I could be pregnant or does this ...
because of my irregular menstruation, doctor gave me diane 35 once, then menstruation happen for that month. but again after following month he gave diane 35. i heard that it is birth control tablet. i am unmarried because of that am worrying that have diane 35 twice or more will give me any side effects? ( for pregnancy after i marry ) ## Yes, it is an oral contraceptive, but no, it will not cause any problems later when you want to conceive, you'll just need to stop taking it for awhile in order for conception to occur. Learn more oral contraceptive details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Im a new user of diane 35. Im taking that pill without doctors prescription. my friend just told me na its effective to enhance your boobs and its also an anti acne. But she s...
I am 33 and started lo loestrin fe as my first contraceptive pill. I was very happy for first three weeks, then I missed my period and started having severe headache and body ache/discomfort. I stopped sleeping...only 2-3 hrs a day at the most. All this while I never missed a pill, had a ph reminder set for early morning. I was concerned about missed period so consulted my gyn who asked me to continue the same. For the next cycle I did get very light period but the pain never stopped and by the end of second month I started having radiating pain in my back, shoulders and head. Finally the pain started radiating to my left arm..that's when my gyn asked me to stop the pill although the sleeplessness continued for almost two weeks after stopping the pill. In the mean time, I was tested...
I used to take loestrin 21 1/20 and never had any issues with it. I moved and lost insurance for awhile. My new dr put me on Lo Loestrin FE. Today is my 1st day taking it. I am strictly using it to try to regulate my period and calm down my PMS symptoms. The loestrin 21 1/20 used to do the trick for me. The dr office said they're basically the same. Can anyone ease my mind on this that actually used both of these pills? ## From what I could gather, there actually are differences shown between the two medications. Loestrin 1/20 reportedly contains the active ingredients Norethindrone acetate + Ethinyl estradiol Loestrin FE on the other hand contains Norethindrone acetate + Ethinyl estradiol + Ferrous fumarate (a form of Iron) I'm not sure how the addition of Iron might effect the...
I'm curious. I had read that plan n will cause a bleed (withdrawal) 5- 7 days after taking it. Is this always true? I'm an early ovulate, usually cd10 to cd12 out of a 23/24 day cycle. I confirm ovulation by taking my bbt. However, this month I took a break from doing so as I was experiencing more stress than usual after a job promotion. I had unprotected intercourse on cd8 into the early morning of cd9. Because I wasn't tracking this cycle i completely forgot where i was until i looked back at my tracking app. It was pull out method but we all know how reliable THAT is. I took the plan b pill around 3pm the following day. Today makes exactly 7 days since and I've not had any symptoms at all except for being tired (as of yesterday) & my breasts are extremely tender e...
I have been on sprintec since early January of this year. I have always been consistant of taking my pills daily and never had a problem with them. I am also very healthy non smoking about to be 25. I was recently promoted on Friday and with all the excitement I forgot to take my birth control pill, which was active pill week 2. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend that night and following morning. The next day I started my new job and forgot to take the following pill exactly on time so took the day before and the current day about 2 hours after my regular time. I started to have a light period on Saturday and has still continued today Monday. Is this a sign of being pregnant? Or something wrong? I have been under a great deal of stress and my excersise routine has been extreme. Als...
Actually I have pcos. Doctor prescribed me krimson along with zincovit. At one place I read that krimson shouldn't be used with additional hormonal contraceptives. Should it be ok if I use zincovit along with krimson. I'm literally confused with this, plz help me. ## Hello, Vam! How are you? Zincovit isn't a hormonal contraceptive, it is a nutritional supplement that contains vitamins and nutrients that are vital to your overall health. The NIH warns that it can cause nausea, in some people that take it, due to its potency. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Tq version for your help. Yeah this information is very helpful for me.Thank you so much for replying me. ## Tq mam for the previous reply. But a question is nagging me behind all the time. Hormonal tablets like ...
My partner and I had intercourse and I decided to take nordette knowing it was on my fertile days. I took the 1st dose 10 hrs afterwards and took my 2nd dose 12 hrs after that. I suddenly felt bad, vomited badly and i felt dizzy. For the best I decided to sleep and forgot to take the repeat dose. I did not experience withdrawal bleeding and any signs of inc estrogen levels. It's been 3 weeks now and i haven't got my period. Does that mean the ecp did not work? ## The only way to know would be to check for possible pregnancy. According to NIH reports, not everyone experiences spotting or bleeding, after taking them. If you're worried, there is no harm checking for pregnancy, to be sure. Are you on any other medications?
I have been using jadelle för 2years now,With everythung being normal. I started my period 1st of oct,and am still bleeding stil säte. Hope its normal? ## Unfortunately, that can happen when you use this contraceptive, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. However, if the bleeding becomes heavy, or worsens, you should have it checked out. Are you on any other medications?
Hi When I first had jadelle inserted I had normal seven days period until after five years when I inserted a new one about three months ago. This time my period s are lighter than before and can continue for up to three weeks in every day spotting. What should I do? Do I have to remove them? Am confused. ## That can happen, when you use any type of hormonal contraceptive, according to the NIH, you may also experience nasuea, headache, dizziness, and PMS-like symptoms. However, it never hurts to have it checked out, if you're concerned. Is there anything else I can help with?
So I had unprotected sex and took plan-b 4 hours after. My period had ended April 2nd and I had sex April 8th. I got my period a week after April 8th which was super early, and it lasted idk 5-8 days I don't really remember. Anyway, its May 17th. Should I be worried that I haven't gotten a second period? Or is it that the hormones in plan-b really messed up my cycle? I think I'm fine because I got my last period? Please let me know. ## I had unprotected sex Saturday night. Just to be safe, I took Plan B Sunday morning. 5 days later (Friday) I noticed light blood when I would wipe. I just finished my period the Thursday before sex so I should not be getting it. I have also noticed the blood looks darker in color than usual. It isn't dark like black but a darker red. Is al...
Dear sir, I'm not a heavy drinker but i'm a regular user of whisky or beer; like 180 ml. of whiskey added on to beer. And i sometimes feel after taking whisky or beer, like my eyes become full of redness or I get redness on my face, blurred vision, increasing heart beat or feeling hot. What is going on? Please tell me about this and also provide a solution. Thank you. ## Nikki, From one who is a recovering alcoholic, may I suggest seeing a medical professional to conduct a comprehensive examination and run appropriate diagnostic testing to rule out underlying systemic issues that the consumption of alcohol MAY exasperate. I'm NOT a doctor but have been employed in the medical profession for over 20 years. The reported symptoms you present is consistent with those suffering f...
I am currently taking Tri-Sprintec and my boyfriend is coming home on leave for a week. I am going to be on my period that week. I was wondering if I could just skip the white pills and just start a new pack and if that would make me skip a period? How safe or effective could that work? ## Yes, you can do this, it is something women have been doing for years. It is perfectly safe and allows to skip your period when needed, one of the advantages of being on birth control. Is there anything else I can help you with? ## hello there! the link didnt work but thank you for your help. but i have another question. even though the 3 weeks of active pills are different colors which means they contain a different amount of hormones.. would the whole skipping the sugar pills still work? and your pr...
Hi. I'm on my second 3-month supply of Oralcon birth control, I was without it for about +-3 months, but I noticed that since using Oralcon bc again, I'm very irritable, moody, cranky, emotional, tense for things I generally can cope with or handle. Is this normal? If so,is there anything I can do to control it or manage it? ## Those can be normal side effects, when taking oral contraceptives, you may also experience headache, and irregular bleeeding. There really isn't much you can do to change it, however, things should improve once your body gets used to the medication, again. Are you on any other medications? ## I'm using no other medication besides pain tablets for my headaches
I'am 51 yrs old and I am having heavy periods for more than a wk during my period. my OB doctor told me to take Primolut N, 5mg 3xdaily from day 2-25 of my cycle (21 days/month) but sometimes my day 2 is still very heavy, Can I start taking Primolut N even if I'm still bleeding heavily to complete the 21 days of medication as prescribed by my OB Gyn doctor? Thank you! ## Hello, Dhay! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. When you are aging and going through hormonal changes, it can be normal for the second day of your period to be heavy and there isn't much you can do to change it. The other option you could ask your doctor about that may help would be just taking an oral contraceptive for awhile, to try to balance your hormones back out. Are you on an...
I have been on jadelle for 5 yrs now but i don't have enough money to get the rods removed. So, can i use the pill or inj. (other methods of contraceptives) while having the rods inside me? Will there be any side effects? ## I already have jadelle and I want to know if I can get the shot as well or do I need to remove my jadelle? I'm getting so over having periods at inconvenient times! ## DD, if the Jadelle is expired you can use other options, as long as your doctor approves. Smurphy, some people do use both to get the irregular bleeding under control. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?
