I am going on a trip in a month and do NOT want to have my period while I during it. However that is the week I will be taking the placebo pills and having my period. I have been taking sprintec for one month and have had no side effects at all. I never miss a pill and take them at the same time everyday. I know I can try to skip my period by starting the next pack immediately but I also know it might not work. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who have had no side effects from the pill and who have successfully skipped their period for 1 month with no breakthrough bleeding or spotting during the week that they skipped. This is my third month taking sprintec. I completely overlooked taking the pill last Saturday and didn't realize until today when I took the pack out of the holder entirely. I've taken every pill at the same time except for last Saturday's. I therefore took two today. Should I be worried that skipping a pill and catching up today caused ovulation? ## Yes, there is a risk of that, though only a slight one. You can use backup protection for the next 7 days, until you've made sure to take a pill each day, without missing any, so you'd be sure they are preventing ovulation, again. I've been on sprintec for two years nowand have always been regular to the day to get my period except when had my son eight years ago. I'm now going on two cycles with no period and am worried. I forgot to take the pill at the same time for a few days. I've taken a test a week after I missed and it came back negative however with my son I had to take seven tests within three months before I got a positive result even though I was pregnant that entire time. Hi I take tri-previfem and i had stopped taking it for a month because i forgot to take my pill, i tried to double up pills to get back on schedule but instead got my period early and then i had breakthrough bleeding for a little less than two weeks after that. i have been off of the pill for a little over a month now due to the mess up and just got my period yesterday 10/28, this is the heaviest period ive ever had since my very first time having a period. i have a huge weekend starting tomorrow at the beach and id like to skip this period. The Tri-previfem has different dosage of hormones for each week. You should take your next dose at the regular time. You generally have a window of about 24 hours, before it's actually considered a missed pill, so you should be fine to just continue as normal, unless your doctor specifics otherwise. I took minastrin 24 fe for only 3 days because I was having heavy periods and my doctor told me these pills will help to stop the heavy bleeding. I took the pills on 8/5/16 but only then it completely stopped. Now this month September I'm one week late on my period. Does anyone know if this is normal? I've been on birth control for about two years now. I recently quit taking Kariva due to the fact that it was causing my hair to fall out and crazy mood swings. I'm now on Sprintec, I have been on it before and both times I've noticed that I get slightly nauseous around dinner time after eating. Does anyone else get this? ## It can be a normal side effect. I have started this pill after taking another pill earlier. I began on a Sunday, the first day of my period and took the pill marked for Sunday. Now, I know we should follow the arrows, but since some pills were there marked for swallowing before the day (Sunday), I wonder if we should take them after finishing the arrow route? I am confused and need urgent help please. The first pill marked was for Monday. So I think there are many before my first pill. Do I finish from Sunday until the end of the arrow and then start a new pack after that? I started taking this birth control in Sept 2016. It has been great taking this pill until I missed my period on the last week of Jan and I just took my last brown pill before starting a new pack and nothing. I have cramps, but i havent started. I've been active, but we use protection every time. Should I be concerned? ## There is never any harm in checking for pregnancy, if you're concerned, but it can be normal to skip periods while taking an oral contraceptive, according to NIH reports, some women stop experiencing periods altogether, while taking them. Hi, i've been on the triphasil pill for more than a year now. I'm currently finished with my white pill as of yesterday and started with the cream this morning but for the past 3 to 4 days I had bleeding; not bad like a pinkish color, but like spottings and then it's gone, then all of the sudden it's back. Hi I was using Depo since i gave birth in March last year.This is my 2nd month of using Oralcon and thus have just had my 2nd 'withdrawal bleed'..thing is ive been having the bleed for 6days now and usually they would last max 4days. I've been taking Lo Loestrin for 3 months and i just started my 4th pack. I haven't have any weird side effects besides minor bleeding in between periods.
