Plan N Normal Or?

I'm curious. I had read that plan n will cause a bleed (withdrawal) 5- 7 days after taking it. Is this always true?

I'm an early ovulate, usually cd10 to cd12 out of a 23/24 day cycle. I confirm ovulation by taking my bbt. However, this month I took a break from doing so as I was experiencing more stress than usual after a job promotion. I had unprotected intercourse on cd8 into the early morning of cd9. Because I wasn't tracking this cycle i completely forgot where i was until i looked back at my tracking app. It was pull out method but we all know how reliable THAT is. I took the plan b pill around 3pm the following day. Today makes exactly 7 days since and I've not had any symptoms at all except for being tired (as of yesterday) & my breasts are extremely tender even above them hurts.

I read that plan b is a lot less effective if your lh has already started to surge and I'm pretty sure it wad fire to the serious amounts of ewcm. I'm pretty educated about fertility, I just wanted to know if i should be concerned because I didn't get the typical spotting/ withdraw bleeding?

Actually, in most women, it doesn't cause bleeding, according to FDA reports, typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, breast tenderness, and other PMS-like symptoms. Although, when I've taken it, I usually had a little bit of spotting for a few days.

However, if you are concerned, it doesn't hurt to check for pregnancy, just in case.

Well I didn't get the tiredness or breast pain until day six post plan b. Today I had a dizzy spell and instant nausea after... very similar to a car sick feeling. After my shower, i had to urinate and when i wiped i had a huge glob of gelatinous cm. It wasn't the slippery fertile stuff...i had that right on time actually. This was stretchy but very thick, clear with white mixed in. My biggest concern is that because i took plan b so close to ovulating it might not have prevented ovulation like it's designed. I've seen quite a few testimonials to that being true. I myself am ok either way, but I am concerned for my partner as I know he doesn't desire anymore children. I myself went of bc after i became pregnant on them and later miscarried. My doctor seemed to think the low dose wasn't enough but my age (38) was too risky for regular strength bc. That's why he taught me to do bbt to confirm ovulation. We simply were careful prior to I and then were free to enjoy the rest of each cycle after which had, up until now, been very effective.

Just updating... sorry if TMI. Had some dull cramping today but not noticeable unless I was sitting still... which is very much how I feel when I'm ovulating. I kept feeling wet down there and thought alright maybe this is the bleed coming on. Instead I just had some serious creamy discharge that's now starting to get stretchy but it's pure white. Who knows, maybe my ovulation was delayed and is now starting, although that seems a bit long after taking plan b? ... frustrated

Nothing yet, but on the plus side a pregnancy test showed negative so, so far, so good. Two more days until period is due but i honestly don't have a single normal symptom that I'd normally have before period. My breasts are still very sore but i do know if it were sure to pregnancy I'd have had a positive test as most symptoms don't show until implantation. Just crossing my fingers for now.

Just wanted to update cause I hate when ppl don't. 2 days past when I should've started but period came today. (TMI alert) It's normal colour but lighter than I'm used to, and oddly no clotting. But the cramps and backache and headache tell me it's a period. Good luck to you.

Thanks for updating. I actually had a fair amount of bleeding the past three days. Lighter than my period (but mine are still pretty heavy after giving birth a year ago and breastfeeding) but red and heavy enough I've been using tampons. I'm going to test with a free on Friday and then wait a few days and test again. Have you tested? I don't remember?
