Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 27) (Top voted first)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

Yes you're right. but there are bright pink ones and light pink ones.! The bright pink ones that say cor 136 are corepharma which are good. The bright orange ones that are round and say San are the best!

Re: Dawnmarie (# 442) Expand Referenced Message

Hi! I am having an awful reaction to the Teva b973 20 mg. I was taking the generic address from Core Pharma and they worked for me beautifully. Never nervous or sick to my stomach. These are giving me heart palpitations and I won't be taking any more. I will contact my pharmacist and doctor to let them know. I cannot be given this brand. I did have Mylar generic adderall when first prescribed about 6 months ago and I did find them to be better than Teva, but definitely inferior to the Core Pharma generic. Anyone else have this reaction lately?

Re: Janny (# 448) Expand Referenced Message

I've been taking 20mg Corepharma for 3 years. I had my rx filled at Kroger 6 mths ago and it was Teva. I have never felt worse than I did the couple weeks that I took the Teva! It was like the medication never kicked in, my mind was wandering, I felt unmotivated to do anything..tired..depressed..irritable..nervous..nauseous. I had to take the pills to my Dr. and I got a new RX but my insurance wouldn't pay, so I had to buy them. I was able to find a different pharmacy that carried Corepharma but last month the pharmacist told me they were ordering from a different manufacturer. I've tried talking to pharmacists at local pharmacies about finding something comparable to the Corepharma adderall but they are very vague and say it's all the same active ingredients yada yada...I feel like a "drug seeker" asking them all these questions but I really don't want to be stuck with meds that don't work. I'd like to know too if you find something that works.

Re: Sherman (# 449) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Sherman. Thanks for your reply. My insurance only covers meds I get filled at CVS. So, basically I cannot “shop around.” It’s infuriating because I have shopped around at 4 different CVSs in my area and only one pharmacist was kind enough to explain that there are differences between generics (duh) and wasn’t dismissive with me as other pharmacists have been. I felt like a criminal. Me genuinely needing this medication and then giving me the old, side-eye. It’s bad enough to have to take this, I think. Unfortunately, when I went to fill this last prescription, the other pharmacist was on duty with whom I have no rapport, yet. She filled my script, the one insurance pays for (60, 20 mg generic adderall) with a different brand than my insurance does not cover (15, 20 mg tablet/ since my dose is 25 mg twice a day.) I was kind of upset. Why would she give me two different generics? (I know why... cost) so, I asked for all of the pills to be the same generic and so I waited. Neither of the scripts were filled with generics I’ve taken before. If it had been the other pharmacist on-duty and they weren’t short handed, I would’ve had a discussion with her about this. Now, I can’t take the meds because I’m scared I’m going to have a heart-attack, and I’m going to have to pay out of pocket for another script. It’s really scary to me. When the drug works like it’s supposed to, there are, for me, no side effects at all. When they don’t, there is a notable difference I feel like I’m speeding my tail off and am nauseous, jumpy, head-achy and have heart palpitations. Plus, who needs or even wants saccharine in their meds? I thought I was taking a sugar pill at first. Why does it have to be sweet? Plus, it’s a known carcinogen! Thanks for listening. Good luck to you, and keep us posted.

Re: Janny (# 451) Expand Referenced Message

Half of this crap doesn't even post! I'm getting pissed I'm not even writing anything else. I'm so irritated at this point I've written so many damn messages and there and it's not going through. Maybe if I had my proper adderalls this wouldn't be a problem. Thank God I get them on the 15th

Re: Dawnmarie (# 452) Expand Referenced Message

Thank you for your reply. I’m sorry you are distracted, too. I’ve been googling everything I can about differing ingredients in generic drugs (adderall) and cannot come up with something concrete in how to handle the discrepancies. I will ask, though for the Sandoz generic if I cannot get again, the core pharma generic. Have any idea what the public can do? You’d think their would be better regulations on Psychotropic drugs. Thanks, again!

Tell me more, I'm listening! Did they do this in the past?

My son is on Adderall and told me that the orange pill worked way better for him. Each pharmacy we checked had different colors. Where I live Walmart carries the orange. I myself take prescription ibuprofen and noticed Walgreens Rx ibuprofen works better than mail order.

Re: Sherman (# 464) Expand Referenced Message

Hey Sherman so now I know why teva isn't good like it used to be. Teva bought Actavis. Somewhere along the way and 2016. So that's whenever their product actually started to go downhill. I'm assuming with the acquisition of activas they change their formula using what activas uses. Anyways was it Merk that bought them ?

Re: Kirk (# 7) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Kirk,

I agree with you in regards to teva. They definitely have such a high demand and can’t keep up with the demands that somehow the pill just tastes like baby aspirin. In my experience of over 10’years of taking Adderall I found that lately even the 30 mg which had way less sweetener is not as potent. I started noticing the difference which led me to reading the labels and doing my research as well as reading testimonials. It’s frustrating when you're not feeling well, I have been down that long road as well with the same diagnoses Fibromyalgia. Trust me I feel your pain. I have researched everything. In my finding CVS is the worst. Stay away from them if you have an Adderall prescription. They only use aurobindo which clearly has zero amphetamine but is filled with a pain killer. Horrible product.

Walgreens will order what you ask if you request. I only order Teva/Barr 30mg and split it in two because it’s better than the sugary 20 mg which taste like baby aspirin and sugar. Until recently I noticed that Teva is now using the same sugary filler in the 30 mg.
I might have to try the Core Pharma Manufacturer who has been under fire by FDA so they seem to be the one that has been staying close to the non-generic. This is only info I got from reading these articles so you will have to experiment with what works for your body. What also helps for the fibromyalgia is Eliminating foods with Luectin; which are Tomatoes, Beans, Grains, All Peppers for 7 to 10 days, then see how you feel when you add them back slowly. Just from eliminating these toxic, inflammatory foods I feel great for the first time in 20 years. Diet plays a huge roll in your prescription's effectiveness as well.

Also a B-Complex helps when you take it every day. Everyone’s chemistry is different than the cat down the road so unfortunately, you have to keep trying different Manufacturers of this product till you find what fits you.

- Core Pharma
- Barr/Teva 30 ml (NEVER ORDER ONLINE) that is Poison

Vyvanse is great but very expensive no generic in this brand.

Good luck! I hope you find peace of mind, hope and most importantly, relief from your symptoms and happiness again.

There is no brand named adderal anymore. So we have no choice but generic. I used to take brand named when they were around. The closet to them that I find is Sandoz Pharmaceuticals.

So awesome! I had no idea they sold the formula to Teva. I see my doctor tomorrow. I'm getting them. What do they look like?

Re: Dawnmarie (# 472) Expand Referenced Message

The logo dp is for Duremed. The original company that Shire sold the formula to....Durmed then sold to Teva and they kept the imprint. They are round and dark peach, scored on 1 side with 30... The question is, is it really original? Not sure, but a boatload better than the sugar football which is their generic. You can look at the NDC code and the brand does not have the sweet crap... Good luck.

Re: Hamster (# 474) Expand Referenced Message

Hey, thanks a bunch! I'm going to try tomorrow. I currently take Sandoz pharmaceutical not the Teva. Those ones definitely aren't sweet like a sugar pill.. which I wouldn't be surprised if the teva were placebo! Lol.. j/k. Thanks again

Re: JAM (# 458) Expand Referenced Message

I couldn't agree more with you! The core pharma brand was absolutely amazing!!! I have tried numerous generics and they all seemed to be subpar compared to the core pharma brand adderall IR. I would take 30mg AM and 30PM and it would really relax me and help me focus and also help me understand things I would have never thought about previously. Socially, I was able to live a life almost 110% free of anxiety and super productive n successful! I am freaking out because idk what I am going to do without this medication. Apparently, another company called Impax purchased the rights to the corepharma brand adderall IR and they are currently working on manufacturing the new type of generic; whether or not it will be the same exact formula as the old corepharma is unknown. Impax is supposed to release the new formula between late November 2017 to early 2018. This could mean a better pill or they could be making this pill complete crap. HOW IS THE SANDOZ adderall IR?

Re: Dawnmarie (# 477) Expand Referenced Message

Do you consider the GOOD corepharma's to be comparable to the Sandoz you are taking now? I take 30 mg 1x a day. I have been taking TEVA/BARR and it is causing me to break out in BAD HIVES and sky-rocketing my blood pressure like never before! Can you tell me what you like about Sandoz? I am trying to find a GOOD GENERIC. THANK YOU so very much!

Hi Chris! No I don't work for Sandoz. If you look more into my writing I believe corepharma had the best Sandoz came in second. But they're not making corepharma anymore.
