Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

Aurobindo - This generic Adderall takes a beating in this forum, but personally I think it is underrated and gets a bad rap. Most don't like it because of where it is manufactured (India). Not sure why that matters so much...but personally...I've used it five months out of the 20 months that I've taken generic Adderall and I would grade it somewhere in the high B+ range. And....considering the generic Adderall choices that are currently available, I say it's as good as all the others, if not better.

For me, I need 30mg of Aurobindo's IR twice a day. Not 20, or 25, or even 35mg...but 30mg each dose. It gives me a nice early come on of pep and motivation. It stays strong for me for a good 5-6 hrs. It gives me a very specific feeling of well being that leads to higher levels of self-confidence and elevated mood. Sometimes it almost feels like a swagger. Only Aurobindo gives that to me and then the focus and ability to stay on task improve. Problem-solving skills are strong with Aurobindo for me. I don't complain of sharp side-effects on it, but I do experience the same side effects on it, as those that come with all the other generics. No more, no less.

It doesn't have a harsh comedown (for me) that makes me want to take a little more hoping the harshness will go away. In my state, almost every CVS carries it exclusively. So....disregard the trash talk about it and give it a try next month. Early in the month, you might need to make a few minor adjustments to your dosage...meaning how many milligrams of it are needed each dose to get you to that place where Adderall "works" for you. I do run into tolerance problems after my 2nd consecutive month taking it and then I'll switch back to Teva...but for me...it is definitely in my generic Adderall rotation.

Re: Nik (# 427) Expand Referenced Message

The b 973 are made by Teva, the cor 136 are made by Core pharma.

However, the cor 136 are 30mg. The b 973 are 20mg.

I have done tons of research on my generic Amphetamine Salt MFR by Aurobindo. I have had to go to CVS for my RX. I have been sick, tired, nauseous and have not felt any benefits from my meds. It sounds as if this MFR Co is known for its negative results for proper ingredients. I was shocked to see how many people are suffering the same way. So I called my insurance company, CVS Caremark and told them my findings. They actually surprised me with an honest answer and said that patient prefer the MFR Brand: Sandoz. They said I can call CVS a couple days prior to my refill date and request this MFR Co. I can not wait to see if this is the answer I have been waiting for. Fingers crossed.

I couldn't agree more I went to a different Pharmacy and I got the Teva. I used to love Teva but after having the Sandoz . Well that speaks for itself so my pharmacist is actually going to order me the Sandoz prescription 3 days before I'm supposed to get mine to make sure she has in stock just for me. Do not do not do not get the manufacturer activas it's carried at Rite Aids and Giant Eagle. This medication has actually been recalled in the past because it does not stand up to pharmaceutical grade potency. Also it can cause you to have serious anxiety and a 30 mg of this one would only be equal to a 10mg of the Sandoz Pharmaceutical. Activas is complete garbage!!!!!

AGREED. It’s very debilitating to function in our fast paced world having ADD but when they start Mixing Sugar, Opioids or Rat poison in with your Orange Round pill from India. You could be on your couch but feel your Jaws Clinching as if you were Poisoned. That’s how I felt yesterday and today when I experienced for the first time AuroBindo. I am unable to function, losing time away from my desk because my eyes are crossed. Pissed is an understatement. WE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. I know I am. I just called my pharmacy and told them I was marching this Rat Poison back to them. I said I ain’t doin it. No sir. They were very understanding and said no problem. I told them I wanted to take it somewhere who had Tera/BARR. You have to ask your Dr to put that on your prescription or ask your pharmacist to order the brand that works for you and they will. If they have a problem you go to another pharmacy until you find one that complies, you do have to get firm, but remember not to take it out on the pharmacist because they might just decide to shut you out and call the other pharmacies to report to watch out for hot head. No, but in all seriousness stay firm, do what’s best for your body. Everyone is different. Hope you get some sleep. Magnesium is AMAZING. Take it 1 hour before bed and you're golden but make sure if you take it you will get at least 7 or 8 hours or you will be really relaxed upon waking. It also helps with the calming of over speedy pills. God bless, be safe & be kind.

Sandoz is the best. Teva I would put in second place. I only have to put a certain percentage of the medication in the pill. The active ingredient. in Sandoz Pharmaceuticals is known to have the highest ratio

I thought core pharma stopped making the generic adderall, they were hot pink for 136. Are you still able to get them?

Re: JAM (# 446) Expand Referenced Message

As far as I know they haven't stopped making them I just got them 2 months ago. I know that there was a recall on some pink ones by activas. But corepharma still making them pretty sure.

Re: Sherman (# 449) Expand Referenced Message

Hey Sherman I know exactly what you're going through! Last month I went to a different Pharmacy than I usually do cuz they were close to home. I got Teva. My house is a disaster area I could not focus on one tour at a time. I went from one chore then to the other chore then to the other. Pretty much nothing got done. I catch myself in a blank stare or just staring at one thing for one moment at a time. I feel you I went back to my regular Pharmacy yesterday. They used to carry corepharma but they now carry Sandoz Pharmaceuticals. I called all around because I wanted to see if I could find something closer that had mine and it was almost impossible. I had to go back to my regular Pharmacy that's so far away. so I understand I feel your pain. But see if any of them are carrying the Sandoz Pharmaceuticals. Those are very comparable to the corepharma ones.

Re: Janny (# 454) Expand Referenced Message

Good morning Janny, I agree I think there should be something more done. It affects a lot of people. It is the one of the most popular prescribed psychotropic drugs there is next to Wellbutrin. There is something you could do that would help! You can write the FDA. I started this long strenuous process just yesterday. But it makes me wonder. How can a medication be so different from one manufacturer to the next?

Re: Dawnmarie (# 455) Expand Referenced Message

Dawnmarie, thanks for your reply. I will contact the FDA. And, it’s funny you mentioned Wellbutrin because during a severe depression precipitated by a job loss, I was prescribed it. I insisted on brand only due to the nature of the drug. It was more expensive, but my mental health was worth it as it is now. The stories I read about those generics scared the crap out of me. I Was on Wellbutrin for about ten years and It worked well for me. Have a great day and thanks for championing for safer generic drugs.

Re: Dawnmarie (# 459) Expand Referenced Message

No, the cor 136 was very effective for me. I called every pharmacy within a 2-hour radius to find places that still carried it. Now it seems no one has it. One article I read back in the fall mentioned that the generic companies often have difficulty getting the active ingredient from the manufacturer (in this case the company that make the actual name brand Adderal). Which makes me wonder, it all comes down to the bottom line, if Core Pharma was making a great generic version of the drug did the name brand company intentionally stop supplying/selling it to them so that more people would go back to the brand name?

I really believe that if a company is going to manufacture a generic it should be held to the same standard as the name brand, like everyone tells me (Drs, nurses, Pharmacists) it's all the same. Yet we as the consumer have no voice or say. It's all about the money. I've even tried contacting Core Pharma without any luck. I'm not sure what to do next. The Aurobindo generic version is horrible! It made horrible side effects, I couldn't function and it made my arms go numb, and when I googled it thinking that maybe the pharmacy gave me the wrong pill, that's when I started reading and discovered I wasn't alone. And now I am hearing that Sandoz will not be producing it either. I've tried several brands and no vyvanse, nothing is working and I can not afford the cost of the name brand medication as my insurance won't cover it. What to do next?

Re: Dawnmarie (# 459) Expand Referenced Message

I'm not really sure that anything can be done. Complain loudly about the meds that are not effective and report the side effects to the FDA. I know at one time people complained about the core pharma and they drastically improved per older threads, 10 years ago.

I was just at a pharmacy and inquired about Corepharma stopping production of adderall and was told that another company bought Corepharma. The company name started with M, I can't remember the name. The pharmacists said they may start production of adderall using Corepharma formula but they haven't yet....fingers crossed!!

Re: ChrisADHD (# 480) Expand Referenced Message

I don't but the Sandoz and Corepharma are pretty legit. The Teva Brand is alright but not if you have anxiety. It really makes me feel kind of weird and out there. Corepharma if you have anxiety is better than the Sandoz in my opinion. Sandoz is working great for me because it is doing a fine job replacing Corepharma in my opinion.

Sandoz:
-Takes effect in 30-45mins on empty stomach. 60mins with food.-Slow uptake you gradually start to feel it working so its a much smoother drug. (some people do complain because you can't feel it like you can corepharma but others like it because you wont feel tweeked out).
-Focus: Focus is comparable to corepharma but a tiny bit weaker (as in you do not feel it like you do with the corepharma when it has an abrupt kick in).
-Anxiety/Social: Almost non-existent but you still will feel some but it makes it not noticeable and your so focused on other things that it doesn't matter. but corepharma brand really did make it nonexistent.
-Crash: No crash, way better than corepharma in that sense because you don't feel the crash.
-Sleep: Depending upon body composition and tolerance to amphetamines the time you take your last dose matters just like with corepharma. If you take a late dosage then you are going to most likely have to take some melatonin to fall asleep.

Corepharma:
-Takes effect in 20-30mins on empty stomach. 45-60mins with food.-Definitely feel the medicine kicking in abruptly.
Focus: Good focus "tunnel vision" but really also depends if you are well rested, hydrated, and fed. If you take the medicine on an empty focus definitely a bit stronger.
-Anxiety/Social Behavior: 0 anxiety great in social situations calms the nerves. Makes you less argumentative, more understanding and empathetic to others situations. Doesn't turn you into a social zombie and lets you socialize with focus without having to ask a person what they just said because you weren't paying attention.
-Crash: Depending on your dosage you can feel a crash when a dosage starts to wear off super tired/sleepy/irritable when the medicine is wearing off if you don't do the timing when you're taking 30mg AM and PM.
-Sleep: Depending upon body composition and tolerance to amphetamines the time you take your last dose matters. If you take a late dosage then you are going to most likely have to take some melatonin to fall asleep.

If you are looking to Sandoz most pharmacies are going to have to special order it for you and you are going to Have to have your DOCTOR write brand specific Sandoz.

Corepharmas Adderall was bought by another company and they are changing the formula so we shall see by the end of this year early 2018 whether or not its worse or better. Called the company and they haven't given a release day yet.
