Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 17)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

Actually, you can.. well if you make a big deal out of it which I kinda did. I take 3x 20mg a day, Sandoz. It's the best generic Adderall in my opinion. I get 3 months supply at once, that's 270 pills! I have been getting them at Kaiser for the last 1.5-2 years. One day I didn't check the bottle. Paid. Left. Sat in my car, opened it and almost had a heart attack! Hah They were PINK! The worst generic Addy! I went back and tried to explain nicely that I can't take the pink ones because I have stomach issues after taking them (also true from what I remembered). The guy was basically "whatever" and didn't take them back. I started explaining to him that I don't take it for ADHD only, but mainly for my chronic fatigue caused by my other chronic illnesses. I told him that I cannot function without it, and it was a three months supply!! It was true. Basically any human with any emotions and compassion would try to help, right? Maybe call the main office and ask, etc. but the guy was being a total butthole. He didn't even move nor looked at me- very disrespectful (and I wasn't being a "princess" or acted like one before, ever). When he told me again that he cannot change it, I decided to take a different route and I called the main office and also talked with some staff at the clinic. One nice nurse told me that she will try to help me but I will have to wait possibly for a day. I left the "pink poo" there and went home. I wrote a message to Kaiser about the guy being very disrespectful and unhelpful because after the treatment I received, he deserved that. I also called a few other local locations to see if they have the Sandoz brand. Thank God they did! I went to pick it up the next day after I received a call from the nurse giving me a green light. Also, after sending that message about the pharmacy clerk, I think they made him call me because he called the same day and was very apologetic about the entire situation!! Maybe that taught him how to be nicer to his customers!

Well... that was a long essay! Oops. Sorry! :)

And that's how we all should do. It's just I usually get around 500 pills per pick up (once every three months, 3 different meds), so it's annoying to count it there. But I calculated them twice after getting home and one time they were a few pills short.
Actually that's apparently not an uncommon thing!! Even doctors suggest calculating.Think about it hmmm.
Last time I didn't calculate them because I forgot, but I will try to do that every time now!
:)

I take the same generic. I just spoke to the company. They have discontinued their generic Adderall as of May 1st, 2017. What will you do now? I've tried 2-3 of the peach generics and they do not work for me. I have to figure out quickly what generic is the closest to the Corepharma.

Lilka, I did the same exact thing but it was at a CVS. I got in my car and opened the bottle and my heart sunk when I saw those evil looking ROUND PINK CORPHARMA pills! I think I may have even seen my life pass before my eyes... sort of. Well, I am lying about that, but I'm not lying when I say that I knew the next 30 days of my life were going to be very similar to living in hell if I didn't rectify this. So I ran back into the store and up to the tech who waited on me and explained my situation. She then got the woman pharmacist to talk with me and I explained it to her. She asked me; "had you left the store already?". Well, I can't lie without making a blatant liar out of myself, so I said; "well, yes but only to my car and I immediately ran back in when I saw they were pink". Well, she took the bag, did a few things and handed my paper RX back to me! I've been prescribed Adderall for the past 18 years, so I am very, very, very well aware of how each generic effects me. However, I have also experienced the "changes" in formula's over the years. At this moment, I have the Barr/Teva brand 30mg's from Walgreens. Prior to this month, I have been specifically requesting the Sandoz/Eon brand which I've been getting at Ingles. However, last month I was certain that the Sandoz brand was different. I brought me the physical energy, I just never felt that crisp, mental clarity that's needed to get motivated and be productive. Unfortunately though, even the Barr/Teva this month is not doing it either. What is going on?

Melody, you have been prescribed Adderall for as almost as long as me. Many times I think; "How the heck did I function before this?". But honestly, when I do think back to my pre-adderall days, I clearly remember not having to struggle like I do now ON adderall.
However, I do know what the problem is TODAY vs 18 years ago; The ONLY generic available was Barr, which was one in the same as Shire. It was the exact formula, the exact original. Today, 2017, we are dealing with greed from the pharmaceutical companies, and we are just not being protected. I don't know what the answer is for me and the rest of my life. I seems like I'm in a hamster wheel, a catch 22, can't live with- but I can't live without them.

I've used CorePharma 30 mg IR for the last four months. With diminishing returns, I should add. Last month was not good. I need a change. Something way different. All the generics on the market right now are garbage..so say the masses...
So...I decide to go against the grain...bet on the underdog.. and I filled yesterday with Teva 30 mg IR. That's right, Teva...
Big, Evil Teva with their horrible generic Adderall that everyone hates right now.

Guess what, folks...my experience only....they're pretty damn good now. The Hamster was right.
The Teva 30 mg tab IS larger and flatter than the same tablet they had on the market 9 months ago. Still oval and pale peach in color. Still scored b974 on the 30 mg tablet. But they are undeniably different to my eye. I've taken both.
The Hamster was also correct in his/her assessment of this Teva.
I concur. This Teva 30 mg IR is pretty damn good. Smooth kick in about 30-45 minutes. My energy was really good again. Motivated and eager to solve problems. I had that clear mental feeling again. Not wired or high...just clear. Been a few months since I've felt like that.
I was able to process information quickly and think 2 or 3 steps ahead on everything. No noticeable side effects from the usual ones.
The last time I used Teva was 7 months ago. I didn't hate it or love it then...Today's Teva, I would definitely recommend trying....especially if you've been on the same generic for a few months in a row.

Just filled my script with my normal Corepharma after a month of "re-trying" Teva. As I posted previously, the 30 mg Teva is now shaped flatter and wider than the previous football. I must say I miss those now! The Corepharma is creating side effects that the "new" Teva did not. The Teva is now smoother and is much easier on your body than Core. I'm now regretting I went back to these Pink guys! Perhaps not all pharmacies have these new ones so it may be a while until you see them but I will go back to Teva after the completion of these pinkies. Crazy how these adderall generics are all over the place...damn frustrating.

I've had four types of adderall ,two capsules and two tablets.1:the best for me is the capsule that's clear on one side and orange on the other ,marked amphat salt,2: the orange tablet would be next 3: the pale yellow tablet, and 4:the orange capsule on both sides is my worst because if I take a whole one it makes me kind of sleepy.

Does anyone know why almost all pharmacies are switching over to Aerobino? I have always liked Core pharmaceuticals, and have been taking 20mg Adderall tablets from that brand for years. I have tried Teva, and the small white ones with the "M" stamp, and I have tried a variety of different doses. After years of switching between various generic manufacturers and doses, my doctor and I found the right fit for me. I have made it a point to only refill my perscription with the pink core 20s, however this last visit every place that once carried core has switched to aerobino? Why is this? Is Core no longer manufacturing Adderall?

Yes Corepharma / Impax has discontinued manufacturing of all Generic Adderall IR tablets as of May 1, 2017.

Last year they also discontinued making all Dextroamphetamine IR tablets as well.

You can call the customer service number to verify this yourself: 732-667-6000 ext. 3

They now only make XR generic adderall and XR Dextroamphetamine under the Impax/Corepharma name.

It is possible in the future that Corepharma generic adderall becomes available again, but most likely under a different company name or spin-off / sell off from the parent company. But you won't see this generic around for at minimum the nect 12 months unfortunately.

In the pharmaceutical industry changes like this happen based on licensing and FDA agreements.

Two years ago a similar issue occurred when Sandoz stopped distributing Eon generic adderall. Sandoz adderall was not available for roughly 12 months because of licensing issues. What many folks don't know is Eon Labs manufacturers generic adderall for Sandoz to distribute.

You can go here for further information: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/search.cfm?labeltype=all&query=AMPHETAMINE

The only generic adderall that has not come back is the Actavis orange round IR tablets. This generic disappeared whwn Teva bought out Actavis. However you can still buy the Actavis XR generic adderall but is under the name of Teva or Actavis.

Again you can cross reference this information at the link above. You can also go to Teva's website here: tevagenerics.com/product/dextroamphetamine-saccharate-amphetamine-aspartate-dextroamphetamine-sulfate-and-amphetamine-sulfate-tablets-cii

And here: tevagenerics.com/product/dextroamphetamine-saccharate-amphetamine-aspartate-dextroamphetamine-sulfate-and-amphetamine-sulfate-extended-release-capsules-cii

The way you cross reference the data is to take the codes stamped on your medication tablets or capsules and then match them with the manufacturer at dailymed.com or the manufacturer website.

The point is things change and are discontinued until they are brought back a year or two later unfortunately. Sometimes longer....

Hi I have been on Adderall for 24 years 30mg 2 times a day. My Psychiatrist always told me never get the generic brand it is not the same and it isn't. All pharmacists say it is the same but don't believe it! If you have to get the generic or the brand get the oval shaped peach color tabs I think for the brand the name is Teva not positive on this.

I'm with you on the corepharma pink 20 mg they are great! I can't find them either. Pharmacist said they were discontinued, but not according to the corepharma website it is still a product they manufacture. I wish the manufacturers had a product locator.

Does anyone actually like Aurobindo? In my area (Chicago suburbs) all of a sudden there is an Adderall shortage AND most places have either Aurobindo or Texas. Now, Teva, used to make me sleepy and didn't help my focus at all ! I absolutely loved Corepharm/Impax and did find the Adderall 30s at a Kmart 20 miles away but they are giving me all kinds of trouble, first needing to call my doctor to verify and now today saying it needs preauthorizationo from my insurance (it has been tied up in appeals because one day my insurance stopped covering it and my doctor managed to mess up the preauthorization paperwork) but the pharmacist is telling me I can't pay cash if I have insurance..which is absolutely ridiculous because I had been doing this at Jewel-Osco ! So, I ended up just getting the 20s Aurobindo and waiting on the 30s until tommorow, when the "pharmacy manager" would be in. What do you guys think of Corepharm vs. Aurobindo and has anyone ever heard of Sun Adderal or Malinknot? There is a pharmacy about 15 miles away that carries those 2 but I am finding negatives only about Malinkot and nothing about Sun.

If I were asked to give Aurobindo a grade it would be a B-.

Of the generic Adderall that are presently available...I rank it second, only behind the new and improved Teva. This is my current list from best to worst of the generic Adderall that I've taken:
1. Teva (new and improved version) it's different now folks...so much better than the sleep aid it used to be for me. I think Teva acquired Actavis and then quickly took Actavis' generic Adderall "recipe"... put it in a pale peach oval scored b/974...and brought it to market as Teva. I'm currently taking it and it's "feel" is eerily similar to the Actavis 20mg IR I took my first two months on Adderall. Today I'm prescribed 30mg IR twice a day and through trial and error found that with this new Teva...my ideal dose is 22.5mgs, not the 30mg prescribed.
This Teva is not quite exactly like the 20mg IR Actavis I took, but taking it... it has way too many identical effects to be coincidence. Just my speculation here folks...I have no evidence to support this claim.
2. Aurobindo
For me it gives a nice initial kick/boost that I desperately need out of my Adderall. That boost makes my self confidence level rise then...the problem solving, multi-tasking, the focus..basically everything that makes up me fall in line and are so much better than when I'm not taking Adderall. But something about Aurobindo and tolerance to it quickly appear when I take it. 20 days into the month, I'm asking myself, "What the hell just happened here...it went from an 8 to a 2 overnight."

3. CorePharma....I agree with the masses...6 months ago it was easily the best generic Adderall available.
Prior to this month, I was on it the last 6 months and every month on it was worse than the previous month.
If someone asked me today to choose between CorePharma and Aurobindo...Aurobindo. Easy choice.

My 17 month Adderall experience has been only with the generic 20 or 30 milligram IR tablets. No XR or Brand experience.
I also have no personal experience with Mylan or Mallinkrodt but I have not heard one positive comment about either one.

I just refilled on 05/12/2017 with pink cor pharma 30mg, & on 06/11/2017 pickup again. I will see if they're pink, better be or there's gunna be an issue... I refuse teva brand, they can shove those footballs right where the sun don't shine an ill call them and tell them that (again). Total garbage that should be instantly boycotted.

I guess I was right about the "new" Teva. When I first glanced at it, it was larger and flatter than the old "footballs." It was more potent and gave increased focus. I noticed it made me felt a little strange... Also, absolutely no appetite. The last Corepharma was terrible. Each month it has gotten worse with little ADD benefits. I hope most pharmacies are now carrying the "new" Teva. I wonder if they even have clue that the formula changed?
