Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 18)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

Sarah, thanks for the info but unfortunately in my area, they do not carry Corepharm, I called 2 local CVS pharmacies and neither one had Corepharm, they had TEVA! I actually asked one of the stores about whether there is a new formula for Teva but they didn't know anything about it. I'm just weary of the old "sleeping aid" Teva!

Update: So, I found the "COR 136" now sold under Impax, as I guess they now own Corepharm. If you try to go to the Corepharm website, it gives you a message and re-directs you to Impax. I found them at K-mart, but the psycho pharmacist wouldn't let me use my Rx Savings card AND dragged it out Thursday-Monday for me to get my script because of some bs with checking with my doctor because it was never filled there before. Then, as it is now in process of an appeal for a pre-authorization, she and her associates said they were waiting for the pre-authorization to go through (yeah right it's been MONTHS and I have been able to pay cash in the meantime with no problems at Osco). I was finally able to pick up the script but the price was OUTRAGEOUS! $160 for 90 Adderal IR 30's. I think I will just stick to Aurobindo AND I will be calling corporate on the kmart ignorant power hungry pharmacist! I already filed a complaint online with my state.

The difference between the generic adderall, people think they are all good or all bad...like seeing it out of like a borderline's eye..(joke) Each generic has fillers an binders that affect each person differently, and that is the main reason there are many different review's on this topic all over the board...some say the teva footballs an some say the pink cor pharma, some even say the sadoz...my opinion, being prescribed for the last two years...i have had pretty much every brand of generic...an pink cor pharma is the best...an i just filled a script of them actually, (after reading that they are not making them any longer, apparently they are) 06/07/2017 is the date i filled them...and have filled them each month of the 2 years...(once i got teva footballs) & they were complete garbage...made me feel very ill, it was the fillers to blame they used...again, affecting each person differently...people really need to do their own research instead of "those are junk" uhh no there not junk just because the fillers affected your body in a different way than the next guy?...psh, shake my head..

Agree. To each it's own..trial and error. Plan on trial and error taking many months. Once you find one that works for you, make sure you have your Doc write the Generic brand on the script. Also, you should always take a break or "Holiday ". It's the only way to reset tolerance factor...I always ensure I run out about 5 days before next fill. Granted, those 5 days are pretty sucky but you'll be glad you did after ingesting that 1st pill after the layoff..ciao.

I agree with you 100%. I have been taking generic Adderall XR (Amphetamine Salts Combo) for almost 7 years. It worked great until about 1-1/2 years ago. Mine is now manufactured by PRASCO and it is nothing but a placebo. I'm supposed to take 2 - 25mg capsules daily, however, I take them and go back to sleep for another 8 hours. I CANNOT FUNCTION. I do not believe this product is the same as the original generic I previously had. I took 100 mgs for 4 days in a row with no change in my B/P or any other noticeable changes and still fell asleep. This Prasco product (Shire & 1 other manufacturer) sold us out. Unfortunately, some people like myself NEED this medication to function and now it is no better than an aspirin! Now what do I do? Is there another product I can switch to? PLEASE HELP ME!

My mom, my cousin and I are all on Adderall and I get Teva and so does my cousin and my mom used to get those but she recently switched to the Jewel-osco brand which are round and light colored pink. Jewel-Osco used to carry the darker pink or maybe there were a few light colored red "really don't remember to much" and the old ones were OK but these new ones that they got in which are the light colored pink ones are terrible, they taste awful And they do not work the same at all. My cousin and I did not believe her at first so we traded a days worth and my cousin and I both told my mom that these really suck. Maybe some people like those better but the seven people I know who are on Adderall all like the Walgreens generic brand Teva the most and hate walmarts and Jewel-Osco Brand the most. Teva taste the best and works the best according to the people I know.

As I have Doc appointment Monday, I was going to look into the Adderall XR from Adderall OR generic as ALL if the generics consistencies are all over the place. Shire has a deal with Sandoz and Pracso on licence agreement to market the Shire Adderall XR as a generic. One would think they are the same as Adderall XR Brand but from what I'm hearing they are far from the same. I guess I'll bite the bullet and go with the expensive Adderall XR Brand...so frustrated. Any feedback on Sandoz or Pracso is welcome..

I took 3 week holiday - believe this should be sufficient. I had an extra 3 week supply plus I've been taking a one week holiday every other prescription refill. All I do is end up with a good supply of these Prasco pills. When I resume, I get the same feeling - ineffective.

I picked up my new script which is now the Adderall XR marketed by Sandoz. I noticed the manufacturing of the Shire brand and Sandoz was same location in Mass. The Prasco was made in Kentucky. Hmmm. ..must say these Sandoz/Shire Generic in 30mg seem weak. Totally different from now discontinued Corepharma with no side effects but very limited ADD relief. Probably last time for these Sandoz/Shire XR's...prehaps they will improve over time...

Does anyone know what pharmacy carriers 30mg of IR adderall, Sandoz. I took sandoz when I was living up north (at cvs) now I'm down in the south the CVSs here do not have sandoz, only Barr . Barr is ok, but the sandoz was a lot smoother for me. Walgreens has Barr and Walmart.

what about Barr IR 30mgs? Thats what i get at Walgreen's. The stamp b974. Been taking them for 3 years now. 45mgs a day. 30mgs in the morning and split one for 15 in the afternoon. They have a sweet taste to them if you taste it on your tongue. Sandoz is good also. I can go to CVS WERE I LIVE AND GET THOSE. But im fine with walgreens. I pay $2.65 for 45 IR TABLETS.

I've been getting my refills at Walgreens also and they are giving me PRASCO. They are absolutely USELESS! I've wasted my health and money on this medication for the last 3 months. I'm going to speak with my doctor about getting the name brand of Adderall and possibly changing my insurance company. I'm so tired of being tired and dealing with side effects.

Unfortunately if you ask for the Brand Adderall XR by Shire you will get exactly what is in the capsule from Prasco and Sandoz. These 2 companies now have agreements with Shire to distribute Shire's AG (Authorized Generic) Adderall XR. AG's are exactly the same but they are private labeled in a different capsule. If you look at Sandoz Adderall XR box its made at Shire's facility in Mass. The issue may be that Shire changed the formula from the original. If that's the case,Shire Brand, Sandoz and Prasco will all be the same new formula. BTW, I'm on the Sandoz Adderall XR 30 mg. I started it this week. They are MUCH different than the tweaky Corepharma IR/Teva. Perhaps because they have a gradual onset and not a "jolt" like the Core you think they are not working. I like them mostly due to lack of side effects and improvement in my anxiety. I have script for Xanax XR 1 mg a day and now only need 1/2. I can say though I am tempted to take more than prescribed because they are so "uneventful" with side effects...bottom line is my attention is good and I'm working like a dog..

Are you kidding - $2.65 for 45 pills of the instant release? Wow! I'm still paying (after meeting deductible and other requirements) $46.43 for 60 of the 25 mg D-Amphetamine ER capsules. Initially in the beginning of each year, I pay $200 approx. Crazy - I would rather pay this for the name brand - I'm wasting my money on something that is not working. Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have good insurance medicare WellCare/part D. Part D pays for all meds. The only thing I pay for is the IR adderall $2.65. Do you get the Barr oval orange 30mgs?? Works good for me, but I heard sandoz is better. For that I'll need to go to CVS. But I'm content with my local Walgreens at the moment..good luck

So, I'm one of the minority that has had the greatest results for ADD/ADHD combined type management with the Corepharma IR generic amphetamine salts.

This past script, I was dispensed Aurobindo brand generic instead of my usual Corepharma. The results have been disappointing at best. The Aurobindo is completely ineffective at helping me to manage my ADD.

I had read in here that Core has discontinued manufacturing their generic Adderall IR. I spoke with a customer service representative at Corepharma this morning, and was informed that Core no longer exists as a company, as they were acquired by Impax. As a result, Impax has discontinued they manufacturing all generic adderall IR medications.

So, with my horrendous experience with the Aurobindo, and finding out a year ago through trial and error that the Barr/Teva IR formula is completely ineffective on me as well, are there any other options out there for me for an IR formula that is actually effective?

Alternatively, does anyone have a link to the formulary for the Corepharma so that I can find an effective substitute?
