Best Generic Adderall Brands (Page 16)

Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

Wow! I can't believe what i just read...it's as if i wrote it myself! No one i know understands this freakin' feeling that i can't shake and always say "Just work out and eat better" bulls***. I just started vyvanse a couple months ago and my insurance ended so i had to switch to Adderall. First RX was corepharma i believe...it definitely kept me up and aware as long as i took them accordingly. But now i just refilled somewhere else and got another brand...don't have the bottle on me to see, but they're the same shape just different color....it's like a pale pink/orange. And they are not doing ANYTHING! So I guess i have to switch. But i just loved your story! Someone i can RELATE to!! I'm falling asleep as i type this.....

THIS is what i was looking for! I just got the SAME REFILL! And they do NOTHING. I'm soooo irritated! Both my scrips were from kroger...but different locations. I have no idea what determines which they'll have.

I am having hellish time with generics. I have hypersomnia so if generic doesn't work I sleep thought I was getting same generic but was Probasc terrible I slept & hard to waken. Depression. But also side effect of intense heart burn indigestion.

Please, I got ,in 7 years,1 generic by mistake,from doctors pharmacy.But,you NEVER assume,they have the medication,let alone same generic! I call before go,and 8 months now on Corpharma 30mg,only Rite-aid,my local,and next 7 ones all switched to bimbo,so 8th call,and had.But my problem,they honestly are not predicable,due to acid,food,and currently no therapist or support group.So, without direction, and they,all past genetics,work 50%of time! thanks!please tell me if Vyvanse works!

John, I said eat better and workout more. It helps and I stand behind my comment but it doesn't fix everything. I have also experienced what you described as "a feeling you just can't shake." That feeling is hard to describe to others, but to us, it is undeniably a very real thing.
I fight it from time to time. Comes and goes. I'm approaching two years now on Adderall and I have come to accept that "that feeling you can't shake" is an unfortunate side-effect and is part of the package when a person begins to take Adderall.
I have had much success shaking it by taking (small at first) breaks from Adderall. Start with a day or two...stretching it to week is even better. My experience is that my body
"re-boots" and what I'm trying to get Adderall to do for me...well...it returns.

For those new to Adderall, these are the current generics available:

1. CorePharma (sometimes called Impax or Global) by pharmacists. Bright, neon pink in color. Round in shape and scored with Cor 136 on it for the 30mg IR tablet.
2. Aurobindo (always found at CVS pharmacy in my state.)
Round in shape. Pale peach in color scored with U30 on it for the 20mg IR tablet.
3. Teva/Barr (usually called just Teva.)
Oval in shape. Pale orange/peach in color. Scored with b973 on the 30mg IR tablet.
4. Sandoz (sometimes called Eon) Hard to find now. Round in shape.
True orange in color. Scored with an odd looking E on top of 404 for the 30mg IR tablet. My experience is that while very effective, the weakest of all the generics for me. 30mg of Sandoz = 20 mg of all the others.
I found success with all of these by adjusting my dose up or down a little. Trial and error is the only way to arrive at your correct dose.

My personal Adderall experience is limited to IR tablets only. I like the minor control they give me of when I take the next dose. Some days I get 4 hours out of a 30mg IR dose..some days 5-6 hours.

Conclusion: My Adderall experience is that on some days, despite all my good habits and diligence, it simply feels like nothing. Placebo. Sugar pill. I have come to accept it, rather than fight it or waste energy trying to understand why. If it persists for 2-3 days, I then take at least a 1-3 day break from Adderall. It definitely helps. The break has always gotten me back on track with my Adderall.

Ok this post is to hopefully help at least one person, so here it goes...

I'm 27 in new york, Been prescribed Adderall for 2 years, i've done TONS of research on this entire topic. and i have a ton of knowledge on this..Everyone's always like "these are better no these" i was one of them, so, generic adderall, each of them (cor-pharm, teva, auroB, mal, & sandoz) each of them have "fillers & binders) that is made into the generic adderall, and those fillers & binders are the main cause of effecting each person differently, everyone reacts differently to the fillers in the adderall, hence the review's are all over the place..simple as that, it's a fact. (for me) i refuse to get anything but the pink ones (cor-pharma) I've done my analysis & stuck with them, they give me most energy, focus, motivation. Accidentally got the footballs (teva) after (my analysis) and i paid big time for it, i took them and was yawning constantly, was tired, i felt with drawling honestly, Complaints to the FDA did nothing like always. So, folks, it's very important to analyze YOURSELF on each generic, looking up, "what's better" it so pointless cuz the fillers are different for everyone...

i get two 30 IR a day & my tolerance now is my problem, completely stopping for a few days, is THEE ONLY way to lower very high tolerance, (FYI) ritually i take 3,000mg of calcium carbonate (antacid) that absorbs acid in my stomach allowing more of the adderall to absorb into my system without the acid stealing it. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER FOLKS ! hope i helped just 1 person, GOD BLESS EVERYONE !

Here's my advice to tolerance.. if you cannot get ur hands on some script Namenda get chelated magnesium (not oxide 600mg, add some l-tyrosine and NAC drink down with mother organic 3 table spoons AC vinager and 1 table spoon raw honey drink 2gether bout hour before and make those legal speeders get you to finish atleast 2nd place again ??????????

I've taken every brand out there, over the last 17 yrs. The inactive ingredients need to be available, to us, so we can see what we are taking!! Finally, the pink, round pills from Core Pharmaceutical was the best that I've taken. For two years, Rite Aid had this. Now, last month they switched to some bigger round peach pill by another company. Pharmacist says within 20 miles around here, they probably don't have any Rite Aid that carries it now. I have narcolepsy & can't stay awake, to call every Pharmacy around town & around Seattle, to get the right brand. Prices are ridiculously inflated as well. A barcode changed on the meds & nothing else... But the company jacked the cost from $6.00 for a bottle of 30 mg IR, 90 tablets to $500!!!! This was at a non profit pharmacy within my doctor's office. I'm falling asleep right now. 60mg should last longer than 7 am to 9:30 am! Then my second dose of 30mg at 1pm doesn't do the job, bc I'm so tired from the morning pills not working. The Adderall manufacturers are yanking our chains.

Melody, you said you have now received a larger round orange pill. Since there are a few that are orange and round, could you please look at the bottle and be more specific with the name of the manufacturer? Is it Sandoz/Eon? or Mylan? Thanks in advance. BTW...CorePharma in the past had been so awful for me. It was like being jacked up on way too much caffeine, or some kind of illegal upper. Truly awful! That was over 2 years ago, but will never trust them again. Even IF they have changed their compound for the better, I would be too scared to try again because of the horrible effects that have stayed with me.

Vybannse seems to work much much better for me !! 60mgs. And they last much longer without a bad come down . They also aren't going to give you different generics of it ??

Hi Melody,
I had the same problem as you do as far as narcolepsy certain hours of the day, but all day when it's overcast and grey sky.
Anyhow, I think for me anyways, (I also take 60mg a day) that being on a medication like adderall for so long, I have found the tolerance problem to be a real one. Taking breaks when from the medication is the best way in my opinion and experience is the best method to fight it and so it's not a constant problem. I stopped for a whole month and that's about how long it took me to start bouncing back from sleeping all the time enough to where I flipped my horrible graveyard hours of being wide awake to waking up earlier like in the morning like 80% of the rest of those in the same time zone lol

that's just my two cents anyhow.
BTW I have been on and off adderall since 1997

Hi there EVERYONE visiting and reading and posting to this page. Just a tip here for those of us who's option for our "Adderall" scripts is GENERICS.

Since pharmacies keep playing generic roulette - and subject to change manufacturers without warning or notice to patients, this is my advice:

If you already know which generic works the best for you - make sure you know (or look it up if you don't have that info anywhere on the Internet and images for generic Adderall) and TELL YOUR DOCTOR TO WRITE THAT ON YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS!! For example if teva works best for you have your doc write "teva only". If Sandoz, write "Sandoz only". If Barr, write "Barr only".

Keep in mind that if your pharmacy doesn't carry the one you want, by having your doc write the name of the generic brand that works best for you, the pharmacy can and will have to order it for you. So note this could take a couple days at the most if they do not have any on hand. The Pharmacy will only do this for you (at least in my experience, my pharmacist told me) is that they can special order it but they need your doctor to request it.

Not 100% sure but I recall reading somewhere where someone was able to take the remainder of the pills back to the pharmacy and trade them out. But talk to your Pharmacist and see what can be done and how.

I took vyvanse a few times and it didn't do anything for me. Not like the dextroamphetamine/amphetamine in the generic substitute for Adderall made by Sandoz. Could be the dosage was a lot less though. I didn't look and it was a long time ago to be fair but yeah it did feel non narcotic so I could see why someone would say that. (Which wasn't me the first time btw)

I think 100% positive, that a pharmacy will NEVER take back a Class 2 medication once it has left their hands & you walk away from the register with it. That's why I've been stuck with crappy versions of Adderall many times over the years & just had to stick it out for the month, until I found another pharmacy with a better brand.

Please read up on antacids and their side effects. I have both acid reflux but just found out i have bile reflux as well. The damage from taking antacids over the years has messed with my system so much i need stomach surgery now:/

Oh and as far as adderall...stay away from Aurobindo, horrible company!

One thing I do EVERY time I pick up my Adderall prescription is before leaving the pharmacy counter/register area...I open the stapled bag and I pull out the pill bottle. I count them. Then I make sure if I'm expecting the tablets to be Aurobindo....I make damn sure they're Aurobindo. Do it a few months in a row and it will become habit.
Two times in 16 months on Adderall I've had the pill count be off. Pharmacists are human. They make mistakes too. I do agree with her point that if you leave the store with a C2...it is yours to keep...unless you have a very good relationship with that pharmacist.
