My prescription for Ativan says take one tablet twice a day and not to exceed 4 times a week. I'm confused about how often I'm supposed to take them. Am I supposed to only take it four days out of seven? ## Yes, if that is what is on the prescription, you should only be taking 4 doses a week. I have a prescription for ativan and diazepam. My ativan (lorazepam) script needed refilling however my doctor was on vacation without a covering physician. Which was bad but I only needed to wait 4 days til his return. My husband has a clonazepam script and offered to help by letting me take four of his til my doctor returned. (Yes, I KNOW sharing a script is terrible. I don't need a lecture on that. Please). Anyway, four days after taking the last clonazepam I had a random urine drug screen. They first did a urine dip test which showed for benzodiazepines, so they took more urine to test for the benzodiazepines themselves. Now I have active scripts for my lorazepam and diazepam. I am currently on methadone 60, had all my take homes. An on ativan for extreme anxiety. However in 2 yrs my ativan never shows on a drug test, I don't have a clue why. I have never missed one. I got a new councilor who raised the flag an the doctor revoked all my take homes. Until he sends my urine to a more sensitive test. But! I'm totally seeing this as I am being punished for complying. I am truly devastated. I take my last ativan most the time at around 9pm. Unless anyone wakes me I then take half cuz my brain won't shut off by itself. I have to take a 9 panel hair test in May for court and I am prescribed Ativan. Well I ran out already and received a Valium to last me until my refill. I was wondering if the lab can tell the difference between the two or will it just show up as a Benzo for both?

I have really bad anxiety so I wanted to know which one is better to take? ## Xanax is stronger than Ativan, it is actually twice as strong. You only need a half a milligram of it to equal each 1mg of the Ativan. If i took 3 ativan 1mg how long will it atay in my urine? I'm not very sure but I could be tested on the 23rd. Please help. ## You should be good cause benzos like xanax are out of your system in 9-13 days if you only take it on 1 occasion and do not take them several times a week. I have been reading if it is only a urine test it should be outta your system in 22 hours tops which really surprised me. It is the fastest actting benzo so if you are not taking on a daily basis and that was the only occasion, you should be golden! I know all this infromation based on personal experience and you should not stress. I would like to know if i take ativan will it make me have a positive ua? ## Ativan is not a narcotic, it contains the active ingredient Lorazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine and, as a commonly abused controlled substance, it is something that is normally tested for on most drug screenings. So, you would not get a positive result for narcotics, but you would likely get a positive result for Benzodiazepines. I am unable to sleep at night. I have been taking 2mg Ativan for the past 5 weeks n started having severe headaches, pain in back n legs. But I m unable to sleep at night without Ativan. would Zolf help me sleep without severe side effects? Thanks

If i took a 0.5 mg ativan for the first time and i took it on friday afternoon about 1 would it be out of my system by mon about 5 pm. in a urine test ## If that is the only time you have taken it, there is a good chance it will be, but no guarantees, it has been known to linger a little longer. If you have a prescription, then you just need to inform them of this, when you go in to have the test. I took o.5mg activan at 2am before the the day I go for GAD blood test and urine test at 8am. Will the result turn out accurate? I think this might be a benzo, something like ativan? not sure. I have a feeling it's my friends and when I confronted her to ask her about it she denies that they are hers, however, there was no one else here other then me and I'm not on any medication. have some white round pill ( same shape as benzo but smaller) with 1,0 or 0'1 on one side and a score on the other side, there supposed to be tranquillizers or very similar to benzos because i bought benzos with them. ## I have a small round white pill scored on a side and it looks like 1,0 on the other.
