I have have hip replacement and knee replacement. Shoulder surgery with screws attached. Is there a doctor out there that can prescribe these for me. I suffer from moderate to severe back pain. I had my lower intestine(complete) taken out in 2003, along with 5 hernia surgery's and do not have very good abdominal support. I also have arthritis developing on lower vertebre and up on my neck. I have hard time sleeping at night because of this. Anybody who can help? I have arthritis in neck and knee and bulging discs in c5 and c6 and curved spinw, paraspinous, inverted neck curvature, lower back spurs and lack of spacing, middle back pain, degenerative disc disease, and the discs pinch all my nerves ro have severe pain in neck and back and arms and legs and severe migraines. My daughter went to the dr with pain in her ear and side of head when she wakes up in the am, he prescribed meloxicam 15 mg every day?? Is this safe he says it's TMJ arthralgia, at 15? I don't think the long term side effects are worth the risk!! ## Have you taken her to see a dentist to have this confirmed? Or perhaps to an ENT specialist? I have TMJ and have experienced pain in those areas on waking up in the morning, but it wasn't due to the TMJ, it was due to an outer ear infection. I was diagonised fungal infection last year and advised Predmet 8 mg bd and also taking Bod zedex syrup for coughing and regular use of inhaler Aerocote twice. Used this course for 4 months and was recovered. Now after period of 5-6 months ,I feel a little problem of coughing and sputum . Though sputum does not much say 3-4 spots daily , but wheezing often during day time and more while sleeping . We live in Mexico for the winter. I have osteoarthritis in my hip and leg and have just started taking rumoquin NF - it is amazing. But I have trouble sleeping sometimes - can I take a rumoquin pill and also 1/2 zopiclone before bedtime? ## Rumoquin contains Methocarbamol (a msucle relaxant), Dexamethasone (a corticosteroid) and Phenylbutazone (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory). Zopiclone is a hypnotic used to treat insomnia. I am curious, why not methylprednisolone tab 2 or 4mg is not available in Dublin..since it is used in patients with inflammed tonsils..My Fiance is in Dublin, the doctor prescribed him calvepen which is I saw alot of complaints made by some due to its side effects...with methylprednisolone tablet the inflammation subsides in no time..second day the patient has no sore throat and feels better...And its pnly good 3days..while calvepen 10 days but yet the patient is still complaining of sorethroat, I know its antibiotics.. ## Yes, the main difference here is that while the Methylprednisolone may help with the inflammation, it is not an antibiotic and will do nothing for the underlying infection that is causing the tonsil problem. How effective is Zempred in the treatment of genital psoriasis? Are there any studies? ## Hi Dr., After plenty of research, I haven't located any studies on using Zempred (methylprednisolone) for psoriasis; however there are many claims stating it can in fact be used for psoriasis - (the level of effectiveness is just unclear). can I sub diclofenac dr for indomethacin cr?j ## The dosage would differ, but otherwise they are both nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories that are used to treat the same types of conditions.
