I scraped glue off a floor for several days and night and my hands and fingers are so swollen and very painful . ## Merry Christmas Joyce, Sorry to hear about the pain in your hands and fingers. Scraping glue off a floor for several days/nights sounds like it would do that to just about anyone though. But I hope you're able to find some level of relief from taking the meloxicam. Based on your description, my guess is that it may be a while before the swelling subsides. However it seems like you're using the right preventative measures w/ a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug to keep it from getting any worse. Have you also considered looking into supplements like Turmeric/Curcumin as a secondary option for...
I recently got keto/lido/cycl cream that was prescribed to me because a year ago I got whiplash from a car accident and it still hasn't gone away. I was wondering whether or not I could use the cream with a heating pad as for I use the pad alot? The cream is exactly 10% ketoprofen 6G, 4% lidocaine 2.4G, and 1% cyclobenzaprine 0.6G. I would very much appreciate anyone who could answer me. Thank you! ## Hi Jessica, thank you for bearing with me as I did not have a chance to reply back to your other thread. Because there is Lidocaine in the cream I would avoid using a heating pad unless you can get an okay from your doc or the compounding pharmacist. I read on a page from drugs.com about the Lidoderm patch (which is basically another topical form of Lidocaine, but administered through ...

My wife has been suffering from arthritis (eg. ankle swelling and tenderness). Her weight is approx 70 kg. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation. Is she on any other medications?

My 13 yr old son was given Betaclav 1000mg twice a day and pulmision 20mg twice a day for 5 days for a sinus infection. It is making him feel worse with nausea, headaches and weakness. Must I stop his course or continue? ## Those can be normal side effects of these medications, according to the NIH, but he should continue taking them, unless his doctor instructs otherwise. He may also experience diarrhea, stomach pain, acne, and non-allergic skin rash. How is he doing? I ran out of my meloxicam that I take for severe arthritis and degenerative disc disease. Due to being in the process of changing PCPs I am looking for an ITC comparable to the meloxicam or something that might even work better. I am a lot of pain and am having a hard time moving. To further complicate issues I had gastric bypass surgery 9 years ago and am supposed to be limited in taking NSAIDs. I am currently taking 2600mg of Tylenol two to three times a day and roughly 1600mg of Advil with minimal relief. Please advise. ## Unfortunately, there really isn't anything available over the counter that is a strong, which is why Meloxicam is available by prescription only. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this class of medications as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headac...

Which is better? I don't actually feel a difference taking the meloxicam. ## Hello, Aaron! How are you? These are two very different medications, one is an NSAID and one is a narcotic analgesic. The Meloxicam is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Learn more Meloxicam details here. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. But Vicodin contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, the latter of which is a narcotic, so it is much more effective at relieving pain. It has to the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Vicodin details here. As to which is better, it really depends on what you and your ...
keto/gaba/lido/amit 30 gm is what I got and the second day I used it I had terrible diarrhea and my eyes had a foggy look when I tried to see. Also does this effect the nerve in the brain because I am off balance a lot? I am almost afraid to use it. Why doesn't this web site give some of the side effects? ## Hello, Omie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you've had. The reason the side effects aren't listed anywhere is because this a specialty compounding product. It isn't something that's standardly available at any pharmacy and the ingredients can vary from doctor to doctor, depending on what they feel will best help their patients. Specifically, the ingredients in this one are Ketoprofen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory; Lidocaine, which is a...
My primary dr said take one 15mg meloxicam a day. Went to the orthropedic dr. and since my pain is unbearable at night, he told me I could take two 15mg meloxicam a day. Who do I believe? ## The usual maximum dose is 15mgs daily, according to FDA reports. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and an increased risk of bleeding. What happens if someone takes too much Meloxicam? Like more than 30+ mg. What are the side effects and will they be okay? ## This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so on top of the risk of overdose, taking to much of it could result in stomach ulceration, liver damage, and liver failure, according to the NIH. If you know someone has done so, it is best to get them medical attention, as soon as possible. Is there anything else I can help with?
My hair is falling out but the handful. . I am on a lot of medication for ankalosing Spondylitis including Enbrel and methotrexate. . I started the Enbrel and the Angelique at about the same time and don't know what is causing this sudden hair loss. . It's a huge amount of hair so I am very confused concerned ## It might be due to the Methotrexate, the NIH does list hair loss as a possible side effect of it, along with nausea, loss of libido, nausea, and dehydration. However, it is not listed for either of the others. You may want to check with your doctor to be sure, you might need to switch to a different medication. Are these the only medications you take? ## hello. iv been taking metho and etanercept for r/a for 6yrs now and im glad to say at 56 i still have a full head of h...
I have fibromyalgia and suffer extreme pain in various parts of my body. For the last four months, pain in my hip has almost debilitated me. I use as little pain medication as possible as I hate filling my body with chemicals. I have been using panamor along with natural pain relief methods but would like to know if I can take Arthrexin & Panamor 100mg together? ## No, these are both non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, so that would be doubling up on them, which can increase your risk of liver damage, liver failure, stomach irritation, and stomach ulceration, according to the NIH. It would be best to stick with one, or the other, as instructed by your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?
In the last four months I've been prescribed dosepacks three times by two different doctors plus shots a few months before that. After reading about the dangers im scared but can't undo what is done. Am I in trouble here? ## Doubtful, usually such issues would be noticeable either while taking the dose pack, or shortly after finishing, according to the NIH. Have you experienced any fluid retention? Or sudden weight gain? The FDA lists those as possible warning signs of issues. Are you on any other medications?
I have been taking Apo-meloxicam since Tuesday. I have taken 4 pills for inflammation in my lower back and right leg. Am a little concerned as to why the pain is not going away? How long before the pill starts to work? ## Meloxicam is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so while it can help with some minor pain, fever, and swelling, it will not alleviate pain as well as an opiate would. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. You may need a stronger pain reliever. Have you informed your doctor?
