My question is may i have a glass of Wine with my Easter dinner? Selma ## The reason you are usually warned not to mix most medications with alcohol is due to the fact that it can enhance the side effects, like the associated drowsiness, dizziness and nausea. Thus, drinking one glass of wine could affect you like you have drunk 2 and so on. However, it you are taking the last one in the morning and not planning your wine until dinner, the problems should be minimal, but you may still experience some, so I would just suggest to be prepared for them, in case they strike and, as an extra precaution, make sure you aren't going to be driving anywhere. Are...

I'm sorry, but so far, I've been unable to find a listing that matches this description. Can you please double check the imprint and post back? I'm wondering if it's possibly an over the counter product, of some type. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## I was looking for the same pill. I found out instead of it being C 03 it was C on one side and 80 on the other and is Meloxicam 15 mg
I visited a doctor about my knee pain and he told me that i am suffering from arthritis. He advised me to take these tablets: glucosamine, mathylsulfonylmethane & diacerein and calcize. I took at least a month worth and it seems i got red spots all over my back. So please advise whether I can continue to take these tablets? I can not see the same doctor because i am working abroad. ## if u r getting red spots at ur back then i think u must visit the doctor again and for a while please discontinue the medicine [for at least 1 day and please visit the doc or call] ## @Peter, I agree with Susanna that you should take a break from the medication, because it sounds to me like you may be having an allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients present in those tablets. If you are all...
I have been taking NSAIDS for the past 21 years. The last 10 years it has been Meloxicam 15mg/day. Over the past 7 years I have steadily become allergic to many things. I am now severly allergic to corn, soy, wheat, nuts and mold. My Asthma is now severe. The Meloxicam was no longer able to control the pain from my arthritis so a year ago out of desperation I went gluten free and found that my Arthritis was so much better but I was still going into anaphylactic shock over things I was eating that I had never had a reaction to when I was younger. I am now 58 years old. Over the past year I have gone into anaphylatic shock 16 times and I am now gluten free, corn free, soy free and nut free. In the past month I was still having some allergic reactions and heard that Meloxicam and other dru...
I've taken a methylprednisolone dose pack early October, and I am still experiencing typical withdrawel symptoms, 2 1/2 months later.. low blood pressure, nausea, dizziness, muscle pain, heart palps, alergies, etc. I reacted very badly while taking it, having to stop it the fifth day. How much longer will this go on?? ## I had a similar situation. I stopped taking (weaned off) on December 19. Four weeks out and I'm still having side effects. ## Mayhem, how are you doing now? It's been almost 5 months after my last dose, and I am still dealing with problems, due to the dose pack. Nobody seems to know what is wrong, or how to fix it. I am really frustrated. My biggest problem is that I seem to be allergic to almost everything I eat, yet allergy tests show no allergies. I have ...
I have osteoarthritis in my spine, knees and hips and have recently developed severe pain in both arms, extending to the fingers on my right hand, worse on getting out of bed in the morning. I was taking Panadol Osteo two three times a day which didn't really help much so my doctor prescribed Mobic. It helps a lot but not completely so am wondering if I should keep taking Panadol Osteo as well as Mobic? Also, is it necessary to have a few days break from Mobic every so often? I take Sotalol for AF, Perindopril for blood pressure, Apixaban as a blood thinner and Carbimazole for hyperthyroidism. I have asked my doctor and pharmacist these questions but am still confused as to what I should safely do even though I have read all the information available. ## Hello, Janice! How are you? ...

I can't even get my pain meds because of this situation. ## Sorry I am seeing this late. I got a cortisone inj. in my knee because it is bone on bone. That was on July 18th and today is July the 26th. I am very sleepy. Is this normal? ## Yes, that can be a normal side effect, according to the FDA, you may also experience administration site pain, redness, and inflammation. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications? One of my friends had one done the other day and she said it is very painful.
Hi. I have chronic lower back pain that prevents me fro walking more than 50 yards at a time. I also have a severely arthritic left ankle that is painful. I will likely get a STAR replacement. I am on blood pressure, diabetes, depression, and anxiety meds. Will 15mg of Meloxicam help me? ## What other medications do you take? I am sorry, but I can't really answer your question without more details. Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, and according to NIH studies, it may be contraindicated with some medical conditions, such as high blood pressure, it may also react with some other medications. Can you please post back with the names of the others you are currently taking? Thank you!

UpdatedThe new formula is too strong and hurts my stomach. The salicylamide helped me with neuralgia and chronic inflammation. Why did they remove it? ## Why did they remove salicylamide from Bc Powders? I needed it for neuralgia and chronic inflammation. The new formula is too strong. It hurts my stomach and gives me the jitters. ## THIS IS AN ANSWER : Salicylamide was removed from BC and other remedies because we have allowed THE NANNY STATE to grow too large!!!! The nanny state (which is GOV "protecting" us) has decided that Salicylamide does not work...... They are not in pain like us, they don't know anything except what they THINK. While we know what helps us, they think they know more about us than we do :( We need to rid ourselves of the nanny state telling us what to eat, ...

What kind of food is recommended to eat when taking this drug so I wont feel nauseous before breakfast? ## Usually, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, it should be taken with a meal to help prevent that nausea, as in while you are eating. There are no specific foods listed, just that it should be taken with a meal, which usually means during a meal. The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, acne, fluid retention, nervousness, insomnia, and weight changes. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?
I started taking the 4mg 21 tablet pack incorrectly. Thought I was supposed to take all the pills each day at the same time with food. I am on day 4 tomorrow... Should I follow the instructions correctly for days 4, 5, and 6?...or call my doctor at this point? No real bad side effects...taking it for a poison sumac infection... I've done this before and the instructions always said 'all tablets taken at once each day'... The print on this package is so small I missed it... ## There shouldn't be anything to worry about here, unless your doctor has stated otherwise. Usually, they can be taken spaced throughout the day, or all at once. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, fluid retention, and weight gain. Is there a...
What is the active ingredient in Otezla that I can buy over the counter to help me lose weight? I've been told by someone taking Otezla that it's an appetite suppressant. He just doesn't have the urge to eat and I eat all the time. I need help. ## Otezla contains the active ingredient Apremilast, it is not available over the counter and is not used for weight loss. Loss of appetite can be a side effect, according to FDA reports, but it is approved to treat psoriatic arthritis. Have you consulted your doctor? There are several effective weight loss medications available, but most require a prescription.
Hi my doctor prescribed meloxicam 15 mg for me however he had prescribed 7.5 in the past so I take the low dose instead however I still have pain in my hip can I take a OTC pain pill as we'll. ## Hello, Cat! How are you? Meloxicam is a pretty potent NSAID, so it would be best not to combine it with anything else, without your doctor's permission. Have you tried taking the 15mg he has prescribed, now? That might help you pain more adequately. Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. ## Hello , hope all is well. My dr has me on 15 mg of Meloxicam for a month now . And I am also on oxcodone/acetaminophen.My question is how long can I take Meloxicam before i should have any cocerns? I was told by anot...

Updated in MeloxicamI am taking Meloxicam 15 mg for my Carpel Tunnel, but it takes forever to work. Can I double up on the dosage? ## Hello, Kim! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. The FDA classifies Meloxicam as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, which means that there is some risk of stomach ulceration, bleeding and liver damage, especially with higher doses, thus, it would be best not to raise your dosage, unless your doctor approves. Is there anything else I can help with? ## No, I thank you for your advice and help. Besides Meloxicam is there any medication that I can use for my Carpel Tunnel? ## Can Meloxicam be used for sore muscles? Worked out for the first time in a while and have severe muscle soreness.
