Withdrawel Symptoms After Dose Pack

I've taken a methylprednisolone dose pack early October, and I am still experiencing typical withdrawel symptoms, 2 1/2 months later.. low blood pressure, nausea, dizziness, muscle pain, heart palps, alergies, etc. I reacted very badly while taking it, having to stop it the fifth day. How much longer will this go on??

I had a similar situation. I stopped taking (weaned off) on December 19. Four weeks out and I'm still having side effects.

Mayhem, how are you doing now? It's been almost 5 months after my last dose, and I am still dealing with problems, due to the dose pack. Nobody seems to know what is wrong, or how to fix it. I am really frustrated. My biggest problem is that I seem to be allergic to almost everything I eat, yet allergy tests show no allergies. I have lost 25 pounds, just trying to keep from loosing any more....

I was prescribed Methylprednisolone for a severe allergic reaction to a sulpha drug.
The steroid is awful. Took it for a few days into a 6 day treatment and had to stop.
The pain in my stomach and lower back are excruciating. After reading the blogs, I guess I should have continued to use the drug but the side effects were debilitating.
Loaded question but how long can I expect these awful side effects to last?
The dosage was 4mg.

Kathy. I started the pack October 1, 2016. I had to stop with two pills left due to severe side effects. 10 months later, and I am STILL dealing with the aftermath. I am finally able to eat again, but I am still dealing with burning mouth syndrome. It took 6 months for my food allergies/sensitivities to improve. About 7 months for the depression to subside. I am still dealing with anxiety, but that is finally subsiding as well. I couldn't sleep for 1 1/2 months... getting maybe 1 to 1 1/2 hours a night during October/November. I now have Prednisone is listed on my allergies due to the severe longterm side effects. I hope that you will recover much quicker than I have. One of my doctors describe steroids like "a tornado ripping thru a town, leaving behind destruction that can take months to repair." How right he is.
