I suffer from severe ortheoarthritis . I was prescribed Piascledine 300 while I'm already on Glucosamine Sulfate. Any harlem in that? ## These are both just nutritional supplements, not actual medications, so they haven't been tested for possible interactions, as is done with prescription drugs, so unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any information about using these together. Was the doctor that told you to take it aware that you are already on the Glucosamine? Some herbal products are safe to mix together, but some aren't. ## My doctor told me that Piascledine is a replacement for glucosamine plus Chondroitin. ## My doctor told me I can take both piascledine and glucosamnine condointrin msm ## What about leniart. I took my first 100 mg Celebrex for arthritis on disk at 4 pm and while it took pain away right away,I felt headache and spacey - kind of like drugged and laid on the couch rest of day. It took until 10am next day to feel more like myself. Is this normal? I don't want to take again tonight since we are going out and don't want to feel spacey! i would prefer to try a 50 mg or cut pill but pharmacist says it doesn't come in 50mg and can't be cut. Is this a normal side effect? ## Yes, those can be normal side effects of this medication. You may also experience nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth, and mood changes. And there is a 50mg capsule available, but your pharmacist can't give it to you, unless your doctor prescribes it. However, the side effects should go away, with ti...

What is in a cortisone injection besides cortisone? I asked my nurse who was giving it to me for asthma who did not have a label handy! And I stupidly let them give it to me even thought I had a bad reaction to a tetatus shot and I then realized I had no idea what was in it. ## The specific inactive ingredients can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so I can't really tell you anything without knowing what company made the one that you received. Can you ask your doctor for more information? Though the other ingredients are considered inactive, it is always possible for someone to still have a reaction to them. What type of reaction did you have to the Tetanus shot? ## What was your bad reaction? I had a horrible reaction that lasted 3 weeks. Pink skin and diminished mental capac...

Have you seen a doctor and told them that you've these symptoms for the past 6 months? Oxybutinin is for an over-active bladder. It may cause the dry mouth when you are taking it, but should go away when you stop taking it. There is a disease called "Sjogren's Syndrome" that causes a dry mouth, dry eyes, cracked lips. It is an auto-immune disease--a type of arthritis. There may be something else going on--6 months is a long time to continue having side effects. Something else m...

It's been told that i have palindromic rheumatism and i am advised to take etoshine 90 mg. I am 27 years old. Is it harmful to take etoshine 90 mg for a long period? Is it a pain killer or something? ## All mediations, even those available over the counter, carry the risk of side effects. Etoshine contains the active ingredient Etoricoxib, this is a Cox-2 selective inhibitor used to treat pain and inflammation, so this is meant to help with her arthritis pain and swelling. Some common side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness and headache. I have a tub of Glucosamine Sulphate with expiry Jan 2013. Is it safe to use it still? ## From the information I've found, they just begin to lose potency after the expiration date, but aren't known to become dangerous. So, they may not be as effective as they were, when new. This is just a supplement, but the best thing you could really do would be to dispose of them and just purchase a new bottle. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I am having a packetof glucosamine 1500mg i With chondroitin 1200 mg 0f manufacturing dat 1/15 no expiry is written can i use this packet

Can this be prescribed in the US? Is there a comparable medication? I've used this and wondered if it is available in the US. I would rather get this here instead of having to cross the border. ## No, this medication contains a combination of Indomethacin, Methocarbamol, and Betamethasone, and such combinations are not approved here by the FDA, due to the possible risks of taking all of them together. They can be prescribed separately, though. The typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, acne, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been fighting with lower back and left leg pain. I've been on a walker for 9 months now. Can you please tell me if it's okay to take two meloxicam 15mg at one time, cause one is not helping? ## It would be best not to change your dosage, without your doctor's approval. Taking higher amounts could cause more severe side effects, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, irritation, and ulceration, as described by the FDA. Are you on any other medications?

I have NAFLD and have been told I need a liver transplant but the infliximab I am using at the moment isn't working and I am in constant pain in my shoulders, hands, knees and feet as well as pain in my ribs due to my liver and enlarged spleen. Have been told I can use this but am a bit sceptical about this after reading forums and would appreciate any feedback. ## I didn't see any warnings about it causing problems with liver disease, or being contraindicated, but it is always best to seek the opinion of another doctor, if you aren't sure. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, muscle aches, cough, and weight loss. Is this the only medication you will be taking?

I have been recommended Etoshine 120 by my doctor for my severe muscular pain in my hip to my knee region. However, I'm having irregular heart beats, hallucinations, difficulty breathing and drowsiness after each dose. My doctor told me there are no side effects of this medicine but every time I take it the symptoms are too much to bear... I'm not even able to breath. ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects. This medication is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. The NIH lists the most common side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, flatulence, and increased blood pressure. Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications?

Is 'Ciplar 421' the generic for Celebrex? I recently started taking this brand and am not familiar with it. I had just noticed this on the capsule. I take it for arthritis. ## Yes, Cipla USA lists this capsule as containing 200mgs of Celecoxib, which is a generic for Celebrex. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

My Dr prescribed this yesterday. I have taken a total of 10 pill=40mg. I am terribly sick. Throwing up, diarrhea, extreme headache, my body feels like it's on fire but after taking my temp it only reads 94.7. I feel horrible. Muscle weakness, blurry eyes. Kind of scared, not sure what I should do. ## Those can be side effects of this medication, according to FDA reports, since it is a steroid. You may also experience acne and fluid retention. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? If the symptoms get severe, you may need to see your doctor about trying a different medication. What condition is being treated? ## This was prescribed for lupus. It was suppose to help the inflammation of my joints. I stopped taking it after the second day. Horrible side effects for me.
