Cortisone Injection Ingredients

What is in a cortisone injection besides cortisone? I asked my nurse who was giving it to me for asthma who did not have a label handy! And I stupidly let them give it to me even thought I had a bad reaction to a tetatus shot and I then realized I had no idea what was in it.

The specific inactive ingredients can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so I can't really tell you anything without knowing what company made the one that you received.

Can you ask your doctor for more information?

Though the other ingredients are considered inactive, it is always possible for someone to still have a reaction to them.

What was your bad reaction? I had a horrible reaction that lasted 3 weeks. Pink skin and diminished mental capacity for me. All good now but what a nightmare

I had a cortisone shot yesterday morning, last night all my joints ached and my pancreatitis was hurting really bad when I laid on my back. Should I contact the Doctor or wait to see if it happens tonight?

I've been getting these shots for at least 10 years or more with no complications. Today I had one and all of a sudden it felt like somebody dropped a building on my head.they have mange coffer let me lady down till it subsided a litigated. I had Rio take 2 buses home(1 and a half hours) it started to intensify while traveling. I couldn't take the excruciating pain so I took ibuprofen 800 mgs., the pain is now gone. Thank you Jesus..
