Hello. I suffer from sciatic nerve pain that is terrible. Do you think Ardoson is right for this kind of problem, and if so, what is the right dose please?
I did some digging and found a bit of product information in a catalog file from the manufacturer. It's all in spanish so I will do my best to try and translate. First I managed to find the product code JEAR-07330060100784 / R2007, so that lead me to the catalog.
It basically says you have to take doses and gradually taper down over several weeks.
Week 1: Take 1 capsule every 8 hours for 7 days.
Week 2: Take 1 capsule every 12 hours for 7 days.
Week 3: Take 1 capsule every 24 hours for 7 days.
In the 4th week and beyond, it says to reduce the dosage to a maintenance dose of one capsule every 3 days as long as side effects don't come up. With a medication such as this it can be a bit tricky since in the US individuals generally work with a prescribing physican while taking a medication like this in the long term.

Hi stephanie,
Sorry to hear about your reaction to that medication. Are you feeling any better now?
Based on my research, the ingredients found in Ardosons are: Indomethacin, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory; Betamethasone, which is a steroid class medication; and Methocarbamol, which is a muscle relaxant.
Since each medication can effect you differently, I think you really have to look at each drug's individual profile to get a better idea of what side effects are really associated with the medication as a whole. It may also be a good idea to contact your doctor about any safer alternatives to Ardosons.
You can learn more about these drugs on the pages for:
Indomethacin Details
Betamethasone Details
Methocarbamol Details
I hope this helps!
Will Ardoson's interfere with my Coumadin? I want to take Ardosons for hip and joint pain.
I am 81 with diabetes and progressive prostate cancer. Can I take ardosons for my pain? I am on 80 units of insulin a day plus blood thinners. I also take a lupron shot and bicalutamide for the cancer.
I would like the dosing for ardosons, and how long can it be taken.
I am taking Ardosons 25 mg for knee pain, wrist pain, arthritis. I just want to know how many times a day I need to take it. I'm 5'11" and 175 lbs. I've been taking Ibuprofen twice a day and it has not helped much so I'm really hoping this pill will help. I need some relief.
Sorry to hear about your pain Juan. Well, based on the ingredients, Ardosons may very well offer some relief, but of course I'd recommend that your doctor double check your medical history to ensure that you can take this medication. As far as the right dose, check post # 4 in this thread for the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
Can I take Ardosons for pain in my hands due to typing? I work 8 hours and type from when I start to when I finish my work hours. Will these pills relieve my pain?
@m reche - Yes, two of the ingredients reportedly in Ardoson's (Indomethacin, Betamethasone) would likely cause interactions with your Coumadin, especially the Indomethacin since it is an NSAID and has blood thinning effects. I would not recommend taking them together.
I have hypothyroidism, what happens if I take ardosons pills along with thyroid medicine? What are the effects I can have?
Re: Roy (# 4)
Hello Roy, thank you. I live in a border city and just purchased some ardoson for joint pain and was hesitant to take them because I didn't know how often to take them. A lady from my church told me about this medication and she briefly told me how often to take capsules cause it is a strong medication. Thanks for sharing the JEAR product code. I feel more at ease on how to take them.
Re: georgia (# 2)
