Can it be dangerous to take Invega Sustenna? Are the risks worth the benefits of this medication? ## as far as I know, 4.5% in comparison to 2.6 % on placebo died, but not sure if those were only elderly patients or not. when I asked about weight gain, lots of medicines said taht weight gain is 10 %, unfortunately I have always been in those 10%. So now the risk is 5%, according to my experience the risk to die would be 50/50 then, that is in fact a high risk and I would prefer 5% 5/100, but I have a hard time believing in the statistics given my experiences. I would in any case check all the safety measures before: take risperdal max. dosage and invega max. dosage (not together, one after the other or just the one that you yet didn't have) and see how you react to this before you t...

I would like to know which generic brand of Seroquel is most effective and also the brands that are least effective? I recently tried Accord and that wasn't effective. Thank you to anyone who will help me with this. ## My son was also just changed to accord and it isn't working the same. It's so frustrating because I just picked up a 100 days supply. ?? He was on 50 mg before but an orange pill then he tried 300mg but it was too strong so I've been cutting them. When we went to our follow up appointment I was able to get it changed to 3, 50mg tablets so I didn't have to cut them in half, but they're not doing anything. ## Sorry that the Accord isn't working for your son. Let's hope someone will suggest an effective generic for Seroquel. ## Unfortunately, ...

I have been taking .5 milligrams or Rexulti once a day for 2 weeks. My depression seems to be getting worse. Any thoughts? ## Rexulti is an antipsychotic, and it has been known to cause worsening depression, and other mood changes, as side effects, in some people that take it. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, and weight changes. Please inform your doctor of what you're experiencing, since this might not be the right medication for you. Are you on any other medications?

A 26 year old male, previous drug abuser (don't know what drugs) was admitted to a psychiatric unit for over a month, tried to commit suicide, jumped off a bridge, but survived, is now into going to the gym big time and protein drinks. He has an obnoxious attitude, dirty bedroom, keeps himself clean, very bolshie and verbal if confronted by his elderly parents. He panicked at the potential loss of 41 pale yellow tablets (with 5 on one side and nothing on the other) when I cleaned his room. The tablets were in a plastic sandwich bag which he claimed were his quetiapine prescribed meds, but I don't think so. Can anyone help identify them? ## These are 5mg generic valium tablets. I've just started taking Fluoxetine (& was previously taking Mirtazapine), with Promazine alongside. I would like to know about any drug interactions between taking Fluoxetine & Promazine at the same time. I took it today & felt almost dazed & hazy as if my head was in the clouds. Is this caused by a drug interaction between the two or is this normal & something that will wear off with time? ## It appears that there is a potential for moderate interactions between these drugs. Fluoxetine may increase the effects of Promazine. You may need more frequent monitoring by your doctor and dose adjustments to safely use both drugs together. Let your doctor if your condition changes or you experience increased side effects. Ref: Drugs.com Interaction Report

Can I take diet supplements while I'm taking mental health meds such as latuda, buspirone, doxepin and aripiprazole? ## Hello, Bobby! How are you? It really depends on what supplements you want to take, some are safe, according to FDA reports, and some are not. Can you please post back with more details? The NIH warns that some supplements can cause a possibly dangerous condition called Serotonin Syndrome, when mixed with some supplements and herbal products, this condition has been known to be fatal, in some cases. ## Oh please talk to your doctor. Those are some heavy duty meds and any supplements that affect dopamine will probably be problematic.

I am on 300mg of Seroquel, & 4mg of Xanax per day since my return from Afghanistan for PTSD, anxiety attacks, bipolar, and agoraphobia. I also take Morphine, Soma & 300mg of Gabapentin for pain. I broke a few vertebrae & was also shot. I maintained my weight since I was a teen, but since the medication I've gained 30lbs & I do the same workout since I was 15 & no matter what I do can't lose weight. Can the Seroquel be causing this? Or do you think it's a combination of what I take??? Please help. I've tried to increase my workouts along with every diet that's proven by a reputable source & maybe lose 5lbs, within a week it's back. ## Yes, it is possible that you are gaining weight as a result of the Seroquel. I was 1st prescribed seroquel when I entered treatment for alcohol addiction, anxiety, and depression. kindly advise is it safe to use qutipine to a 65 year old patient as she is drowsy all throughout the day.she was on chloropromazine for 13 years recently changed to olanzepine which worked well.but doctor has changed to qutipine which is acting like a sedative.what shall we do ## Slowly decrease the dose ## I would try zyprexa again, without the clozeril. Another hip drug is mirtazapine. The use of seroquel is indicated for geriatric dosing - just keep it al low as possible because it makes just about anyone very sleepy especially at the lower geriatric doses.

My foster child is on Ability 5 mg, Bupropion 75 mg, Chlorpromazine 25mg 3 times per day for bipolar and ADHD. Does he need these meds that seem to do the same thing? I have the sense since he has been with me that he does not have anger problems any more than any other 11 year old child. He did tell me that he used anger to get away from the home he was in because he was being beaten by an older child. I will admit he may be adhd but bipolar you can't make me believe. ## I'd suggest discussing it with his doctor and/or getting a second opinion. It is an unfortunate fact that many children end up over medicated and many doctors don't review what the child is taking and just leave them on them, rather than do a review and see if it is needed any longer.
